Author's Note:
Thank you to Cait and Phil who gave me the great idea of the pink bunny. Also thanks to Matt just cuz he rocks. This is also really violent and gorey, so beware. :-)

I opened my eyes and looked around. I couldn't place my location. What the heck?

"Draco! You...you're alive!" Someone rejoiced. Slowly, my memory came back. It was Hermione Granger. "Better than how Sky or Kay turned out." Sky? Kay? Who were these people? But then it hit me. Sky and Kay were my friends too!

"What happened?" I asked.

"You don't remember?" Hermione asked, confused.

"No. Who am I?"

"You're Draco, Draco Malfoy. Your father's in prison. You're dating Kailyn MaRazzle. You're a wizard in his sixth year of Hogwarts. Don't you remember any of this?" Hermione asked.

"Yes," I paused, "but not what happened.

"I was hoping you'd tell me. Dumbledore assigned me to look after the three of you."

"Three?"

"You, Kay, and Sky."

"Who?"

"Your girlfriend and your ex-girlfriend." Hermione explained. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. All the memories came back. Most of them weren't good ones.

"Hermione, what happened to them?"

"Kay and Sky thought you were dead. Kay stabbed herself in the shoulder, aiming for her heart. She's sleeping over there." Hermione pointed to a dark haired girl resting peacefully, her shoulder wrapped up. "Sky, on the other hand, might not regain consciousness. She tried to drown herself but Madame Pomfrey saved her. She hasn't awoken yet. I don't think she wants to."

~*~

One week later, Sky still hadn't woke up. Kay was still recuperating, and learning how to use her shoulder even though it was badly wounded. I was the lucky one, actually capable of going back to class.

Memories flooded back to me, but none of that night. No matter how hard I tried to remember, I couldn't. I just couldn't.

~*~

Potions class, my first day back...

"Well Mr. Malfoy, great to see you again. Next time remember to disarm your opponent before they try to use an Unforgivable Curse on you," Snape spat. "Do you know when Miss MaRazzle will be joining us again?"

"No, Professor. Soon, though," I replied, thinking of Kay.

"Today we'll be working on memory charms. Mr. Malfoy, you get to test the strongest one, at Dumbledore's will." Snape yelled to the students. This might help me remember the night of the dance!

At the end of the class, Snape handed me the potion.

"Drink up me hardies, yo ho," I sighed under my breath, quoting a movie I had watched while at Sky's house that summer. I drank the vile substance. And then every memory came back...

"You're the panther!" I stuttered. Sky transformed back to human, smirking.

"You're right. I only killed Fleur because she knew too much. I would have killed Hadgrid too, but then I saw you," the red head smiled.

"You k...killed Fleur," Sky turned to me on her heels. "Why did you betray me? Going out with her?"

"Sky, listen. I love Kay. I don't think I was ever in love with you," I told her.

"No," Sky yelled.

"It's true Sky," I replied.

"Avada Ke!" She started.

"NO!" I interrupted.

"Avada Kedavra!" Sky yelled, aiming for Kay. I jumped in front of Kay and both of us reached the ground before the spell worked. But on the way down, I hit my head on a rock and fell unconscious...

"Malfoy!" Snape snapped, making me break out of the trance. "You can go to dinner now."

~*~

"Hey ladies," I flirted with Ginny, Hermione, Luna, and Tinka.

"Howdy Draco!" Cho Chang's petite cousin Tinka exclaimed.

"You're alive!" Ginny gasped. Luna just stared.

"She's the one that found you," Hermione whispered. Luna's eyes didn't blink for two seconds, then she burst into tears.

"Whoa, Lu. Are you alright?" Ginny asked.

"Something bad just happened. I think Sky died," Luna sobbed.

~*~

"Malfoy!" Harry Potter greeted with a smile. Him and Ron Weasley walked into the Gryffindor common room.

"Potter! What's happening?" I asked, giving him a high-five.

"Nothing yet. Cho dumped Justin, which means she's single again," Harry smirked.

"What happened to you and Hermione?" I asked.

"I wanted her," Ron smiled dreamily.

"You guys are hopeless," I laughed. That's when Professor McGonagle burst in.

"Mr. Malfoy, I have some bad news. Skyler Frost died in the hospital wing. But before she died, she awoke and wrote you this letter," McGonagle handed me a letter in Skyler's cursive script. I scanned it quickly:

Dear Draco,

There are some things I should have told you a while ago. Things that people don't even know. Like the fact that my father was Remus Lupin. My mother is Star Frost. My stepfather is Lorenzo. I'm sorry I confused everyone. You see, I met up with your father while visiting Lorenzo in prison. He enchanted me with stories of the Dark Arts, and before I knew it, he was teaching me them.

Your father is not in prison anymore. He's somewhere in the Forbidden Forest. I saw him there the day after I killed Fleur. Your father told me to kill Kay. He said I owed him for getting me into Hogwarts. He found out she was mudblood. He wanted to see you cry. He wanted you dead.

I almost agreed with him. I was so angry with myself. Forgive me. You're the only man I ever loved, besides my father and my stepfather. I'll miss you Draco,

Love,

Sky

I looked at McGonagle with tears in my eyes.

"This explains it all. What happened. I need to see Dumbledore."

~*~

"Mr. Malfoy! How many times have I seen you this month?" Dumbledore laughed. He seemed to be acting thirty years younger.

"Sky Frost just died," I told him.

"I'm aware of that."

"She wrote me a letter. She told me everything. And other things are starting to make sense."

"Dumbledore!" Harry yelled, bursting into the room. Then he saw me. "Oh sorry, I'll go."

"No, Mr. Potter. Stay. Tell me what you were going to say," Dumbledore coolly stated.

"I think Voldemort's close by. My scar hurts a lot, every time I get close to the Forbidden Forest." Harry said.

"Exactly!" I shouted. "Don't you see? My father's there and he figured out that Hogwarts was a safe location. He sent for him!"

"And Sky was just a pawn in his plan!" Harry concluded.

"Which means all Hogwarts students are in danger."

~*~

"We start in the Forbidden Forest!" I yelled. Harry glared at me.

"Just you and me? We need a whole team!" Harry laughed. That's how the crew of me, Harry, Kay, Ron, Hermione, Tinka, Seamus, Neville, Ginny, Luna, Dean, Cho, and Justin, began. Cho and Justin were only there because Justin was Harry's friend and Cho is Tinka's cousin.

"Split up," Harry instructed. "We're the aurors of this school. We're the best of the best. And until the teachers come, we're the ones who will reach Voldemort first. Remember Expelliarmus to unarm him. I wouldn't be surprised if he used the killing curse. So are we ready?" Harry asked, trying to get us psyched for the search.

Harry, Kay, and I were the first into the forest. The moonlight poked into the clearing every now and then like a child playing peek-a-boo. It illuminated the path in front of us. Kay's hair shone nicely, but a look of panic haunted her face. Harry, on the other hand, looked ready and eager to fight. He wanted to destroy the one guy who had single-handedly wrecked the life of Harry Potter.

"Send up red sparks if you're in trouble," Harry yelled. So many red sparks were sent up that night that we lost count.

~*~

Cho was upset. She was stuck with Dean Thomas, Justin Flinch Fletchley, and Luna Lovegood. Dean was funny, Justin was her ex-boyfriend, and Luna was just plain weird. It was up to her to lead the group.

"Cho, why don't we ditch them?" Justin asked, holding her no longer broken arm and massaging it lovingly. Cho pulled away, brushing her hair back with her free hand.

"No, Justin. I'm not interested in you!" Cho screamed. Luna just stared at her with large eyes while Dean just looked sad. Cho started running, and running, and then she fell.

~*~

Luna looked around quickly, hoping for a chance to escape the woods. Cho had escaped, so why couldn't she?

"I'm going to see if I can find Cho," Luna answered with a smile. Not really, she thought, more like I'm trying to escape.

Luna ran away quickly, her blonde hair flowing behind her, being pulled by the May breeze. She looked back hesitantly to make sure Dean and Justin weren't following her. They weren't.

~*~

"Can I please go with Neville," Tinka begged Hermione and Ron. "Ginny can't be all alone with a group of guys!" Ron laughed and Hermione rolled her eyes. When Ron nodded for her to go, Tinka skipped away happily. But catching up with Ginny's group of her, Neville, and Seamus was another story.

~*~

Ginny looked around, hoping that Tinka would show up soon. When Dumbledore told them they were needed, there one condition was that they had to be together. They were best friends, after all. But when they weren't put together, they made a plan to find each other.

"Neville and Seamus, the two of you stay here. I'm going to find Tinka. She should have been here by now," Ginny sighed. The duo nodded and sat down on a log. Ginny, by light of he full moon, started to run.

~*~

"Harry, stop!" I yelled. He had jogged ahead of both Kay and me and I wasn't the most physically fit person in the school.

"Oh, sorry," Harry smirked. He continued to walk anyway. Then Harry stopped. "This is the clearing I first saw Voldemort in."

"This would be where my father would be," I groaned. "And where Crabbe said he saw Sky."

"Wait a minute," Kay stopped. "We've been running for 10 minutes to reach a clearing that you can find easily from the back of Hadgrid's hut!"

Harry smiled, "Yes." Kay groaned as we reached the entrance. But then the first set of red sparks went up.

~*~

"C...Cho...w...what's...h...ha...happened...t...to...y...you?" Hermione stuttered.

"You're not as pretty as you usually are," Ron commented, while still holding Hermione's hand. The creature snorted.

Cho Chang had fallen on a small blade. Not just any blade either. This blade was covered by a potion. A potion that turns people into their most horrifying idea of a demon. Of course, Cho Chang's idea of a demon was albino rabbits. So Miss Chang was an albino rabbit, a large carnivorous albino rabbit.

Boing! The large (she grew about ten more feet) rabbit jumped and with its hind legs knocked Hermione and Ron unconscious into two trees. That may be the first time anyone heard a rabbit giggle.

Hiding in the bushes, Tinka had seen the whole thing. She sent up red sparks and made her way toward the bunny.

~*~

Neville sat discouraged on the log. Seamus was just as depressed. The two of them had lost Ginny, their bold and fearless leader. Then suddenly, a ruffle was heard in the bushes.

"C...come...out," Neville stuttered nervously. Justin and Dean walked out. "Thank God it's the two of you and not some man-eating arachnid!"

"We were thinking the same thing," Dean laughed. They wouldn't be laughing in ten minutes.

~*~

Cho saw Tinka before she left the bushes. It was time for some sweet revenge.

"Cho! Cho! What happened to you?" Tinka cried in her squeaky voice.

"Tinka, Tinka, my dearest cousin," Cho laughed sarcastically. "I tripped." The bunny smiled. "Now how should I hurt you?"

"Cho! I'm your cousin!" Tinka screamed, trying to make Cho change her mind.

"Not going to work this time, Tinka. You've wrecked my life enough!"

"What?! Cho, I'm your favorite cousin!"

"Yeah right!" With that, Cho stepped on Tinka, squashing her under the massive paw like a human squashes a bug. "You took the guy I liked right out of my hands. I hate you Tinka. I hate you." Cho steamed with rage. "You always were my worst enemy."

~*~

Something tapped Ginny on the shoulder. Ginny turned to meet the eyes of her boyfriend Seamus.

"Oh, Seamus, it's just you," Ginny sighed, looking into his eyes. She sighed again and then they kissed under the moonlight. It was their last kiss ever...

~*~

Neville, Justin, and Dean stood clustered by the log, waiting hopelessly for Ginny or Tinka or Seamus to come back.

"They're not coming back," Dean sighed. That's when the giant albino rabbit came.

~*~

Ginny and Seamus walked hand-in-hand out of the woods. Well, not out of the woods but into one of the many clearings. But what they saw was gruesome.

Neville lie crushed in the dirt, his arms twisted in wrong ways. Dean was flat-out crushed. But worst of all was Justin, a bloody mess of twists and turns. Fang marks were all over him.

"Eww," Ginny gasped, looking horrified. Seamus clutched her hand in fear.

"What thing did this?" The boy gasped, sending up red sparks.

"I did," yelled a voice.

~*~

Kay and I held hands as Harry looked into the sky.

"Red sparks!" He gasped. Kay and I looked up too.

"Um, before we stand the possibility of getting killed, could Kay and I have a minute alone?" I asked Harry.

With a sad look in his eyes, Harry answered," Yes. I'll go in." As Harry walked solemnly in, I pulled Kay close.

Grazing her ear with my lips, I whispered, "This could be our last kiss."

"Don't think like that," she said as we locked lips in the moonlight. For minutes we stood there, no longer kissing, just staring into each other's eyes.

"I love you Kay," I smiled, nearly crying.

"I love you too, Draco," Kay was crying. We hugged briefly, then walked into the clearing.

~*~

We entered and were surprised. There was Harry dueling both my father and a hooded figure, assumed to be Voldemort.

"Dang," I cursed under my breath. Kay stood there paralyzed in fear. Harry was avidly beating Voldemort and yelled, "Don't just stand there!"

Kay and I ran in. The strangest thing was that I wasn't afraid to die. Probably that whole experience with Sky made me capable of not being all panicky like Kay. But the real reason might be that I had no fears.

"Draco...Draco...what are you doing here?" My dad groaned.

"Helping my friends," I snapped. My father frowned.

"Ah. Is this how I get to meet Kailyn MaRazzle? No proper introduction?" Lucius asked.

"Lucius, stop fooling around. Just kill the twerp," Voldemort hissed.

"Well, Kay, sorry it's been short. And this time I will kill you," Lucius smirked. Kay was frozen in place, still looking terrified. "Avada Kedavra!" Kay screamed. I knew my father wouldn't be like Sky and miss. So I jumped in front of Kay and was never to awaken again.

~*~

Kay stared down horrified at Draco's dead body. Lucius looked stunned too and appeared to be running to his body. But Kay started to feel dizzy.

"Kill me. Just kill me," Kay muttered as Lucius broke down in tears. Then Kay turned to him.

"He knew everything. About Sky, Voldemort, all of it. Sky blabbed. He talked about how much he hated you. You put way too much pressure on him. And even though this, I think he still loved you. But because of this, I don't think he does," Kay snapped. "So just kill me too. I can't bare to be without him again." Lucius looked through tears at the sixteen year old girl who had said this. Kailyn MaRazzle, a mudblood. But Lucius sighed, he had killed his only son. The only thing in the world he cared about.

~*~

Lucius dashed off after killing Kay. His only child was dead. And he couldn't bring him back. But then he tripped over something. Standing up, he was horrified to realize he was in a clearing of dead bodies.

"What did this?" Lucius gasped.

"I did," Cho smiled, stepping into the clearing.

~*~

Twenty minutes later, Cho hopped into the clearing and saw Harry and Voldemort. Inside her shrunken brain she knew this was a match until the finish. Well, Cho laughed, let's make it end a little quicker.

"Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort yelled at Cho. She fell to the ground, shrinking back down to her regular size, twitching. Harry stared with tears streaming down his face.

"She was struck by a demon-turning blade. She would have died anyway," Voldemort muttered. "It wasn't like she was your girlfriend of anything."

"You live to torture me, don't you," Harry raged.

"I'm going to leave you alone. You wrecked my life and I wrecked yours. Now we're even," Voldemort started to leave.

"No!" Harry yelled. "You're not Voldemort!" Voldemort took off the hood to reveal Lorenzo Frost. Harry recognized him from the picture in the Daily Prophet.

"Yes, I know I'm not. I'm Sky's stepfather here to get Sky's body to be buried. I'm just one of Voldemort's followers," the man said.

"Leave," Harry sighed, crying still. Harry knelt down next to Cho's lifeless body. "I'll miss you Cho."

~*~

The Daily Prophet summed up everything. 10 people killed in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Here's the exact article:

In a massive battle, ten students were killed the night of May 30. According to Harry Potter, one of the four survivors, Cho Chang fell on a knife that had been coated with a potion that turns humans into their idea of a demon. She turned into a fifteen foot killer Albino bunny. Her victims were, Seamus Finnegan, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Neville Longbottom, Lucius Malfoy (who was strangely in the woods), Tinka Reynolds, Dean Thomas, Ginny Weasley, and Cho was put out of her misery by convict Lorenzo Frost. Lucius Malfoy, before being killed by Cho, killed his only child, Draco and Draco's girlfriend Kailyn MaRazzle. There were only four survivors, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter, and Ronald Weasley. More details later.

Ron and Hermione were still unconscious in the hospital wing. Harry didn't know what had happened to Luna until Dumbledore had told him that Luna had seen Cho, ran out of the forest, and came right in and alerted Dumbledore. That was how all the dead bodies had been found. The strange thing was, she had walked in with them, then he hadn't seen Luna again. Nine of his friends killed, including Draco, the one person Harry had known that thought sixth year was going to be his best of all. With only half a month left, he didn't get to see the end of it.

Inside, Harry wished none of this had happened. But it did. Thinking of that made Harry remember all the good friends he had and all the ones he had lost. And now even his ex-girlfriend Cho was dead. No one could rewind to save them. No potion, no spell, no magic. Harry hopelessly started crying on his bed.

~*~

On the train ride home, Hermione, Ron, Luna, and Harry sat in silence. Hermione fiddled with her hair, while Luna read an issue of the Quibbler. Ron was reading a Quidditch article in the Daily Prophet and Harry was looking through pictures. Luna looked over at the pictures and smiled.

The first picture was of Draco and Kay when Draco was switched into Gryffindor. Draco was wearing a huge grin and Kay looked pretty with her hair in a ponytail.

"No pictures of Draco and Sky, right?" Luna asked.

"Actually, Colin Creevy put this scrapbook together for me. It is of all the people who died this year. There's even a few of Draco and Pansy back when he was in Slytherin," Harry commented. By now, Hermione and Ron were looking too. Flipping through the pages, they laughed and smiled (especially the one of Cho yelling at Harry.) But then one got all of their attention.

It was a picture from the dance. In it was Draco, Kay, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Ginny, Neville, Seamus, Dean, Cho (with a frown), and Tinka all with big smiles. In the background, you could see Sky's carrot mane and a profile of her face.

"I remember this," Hermione laughed, looking longingly at Harry.

"I do too," Luna smirked at Ron, who blushed.

"I can't believe it was that long ago, the night Sky died," Ron said amazed. Harry stood up.

"I wish everything was back to the way it was in this picture. All happy and carefree, when the topics of the day was who was dating who, instead of who Voldemort had killed. Maybe it could have ended differently," Harry sighed.

Luna responded, "Or maybe its just fate."

~*~

In the back cart of the Hogwarts Express, Voldemort held the same picture.

"Eight down, four to go."

*Note- "Drink up me hardies, yo ho" and "our bold and fearless leader" both came from parts of the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD. Sorry, I just love that movie and just had to tie it in. *

Author notes: Okay, so the whole demon turning blade thing is stupid, blame phil. he was the one who suggested it. And I'm terrified of albino bunnies so sorry that whole thing is stupid.
