My Dragon

Hermione opened her eyes slowly, realising that she was lying on the Common Room couch, with a cloth over her forehead, and one Harry Potter staring at her.

"Hi, Herm..."

She sat up quickly. "Harry! I just had the weirdest dream. I dreamed that you told me you were g--"

"Hermione. That wasn't a dream. I really told you that I'm gay, and I am really dating Draco."

Hermione sank back onto the couch. "Oh."

"What's wrong, Herm? You look disappointed or something."

"Oh. No, I'm not disappointed. I'm just still surprised. Sorry."

"It's okay. I expected you to be surprised. Maybe I wasn't really expecting you to faint, but at least you're not hysterical." She smiled and he smiled back.

"So...do you want to um...talk about it?" she asked. Harry could tell that his friend was extremely uncomfortable, and for once he wasn't sure what to do.

"Well, it's okay. You don't have to talk about it right now if you don't want to. I mean, your best friend just told you he's gay and he's sleeping with his archrival--"

"You're sleeping with him?!"

Harry blushed, and replied, "Well...yeah."

Hermione thought for a moment, and then grinned. "Is it really as big as he says it is?"

"Bigger."

Her eyes grew wide and she brought her hand to her mouth. "No. You've got to be kidding me!"

His expression turned from embarrassed to proud. "Nope. Absolutely serious."

"Oh my gosh! Why do the all the cute sexy guys have to be gay!"

Just then Ron walked into the Common Room. "Who's gay?"

"No one," Harry replied quickly, blushing once more.

"Oh come on Harry. You've got to tell me. I mean, I know Seamus is, and I'm pretty sure Malfoy is...he always did seem to be a bit too girlish. But there must be someone else, or you wouldn't be talking so quietly about it. Tell me."

Harry sighed, and shifted in his seat. "Me."

"You're gay? You've got to be shitting me, Harry."

"I shit you not, Ron," he replied, and then smiled and added as an afterthought, "You're not gay are you?"

"No..."

Harry looked over to Hermione, and grinned. "See, all the cute ones aren't gay." She just laughed and gently smacked his arm.

"Ew. Um, Harry, I have nothing against the gay thing, but please don't call me cute. There will be no flirting with the redhead, understand?"

Disappointedly, Harry began, "But--"

"No."

"Fine."

Hermione giggled and looked over to Harry. "Are you going to tell him the rest...?"

Ron looked at the two eagerly. "What rest? There's a rest? More?"

Hermione nudged Harry and nodded to him. "Go ahead. He won't judge."

Harry sighed again, and said softly, "I'm with Draco Malfoy."

Ron jumped up out of his seat and went red in the face with anger. "Harry. Bloody. Potter. You traitor!"
