Draco Malfoy sighed, angrily, as he navigated around the castle to the Astronomy Tower. What did Dumbledore know anyway? Did it really matter if he was failing Astronomy? Dumbledore apparently really cared, seeing as he involuntarily signed Draco up for a month's worth of mandatory sessions with a tutoring group that met three times a week.

Draco entered the dark Astronomy tower, surprised to see Padma Patil, Luna Lovegod, and Euan Abercrombie already there. Draco smirked at Euan and ignored the two girls. He gazed out the window wondering what poor brain got stuck doing this, or if it was that annoying, overachieving Mudblood, Hermione Granger.

He ignored the sounding footsteps behind him, figuring that it was another student who was getting tutored, until a familiar voice said, "Malfoy?"

Draco turned around and saw little Ginny Weasley about five feet away, weighed down by five or six thick, leather-bound books, her bag draped over her shoulder, and she was trying to flick her red bangs out of her chocolate brown eyes.

She placed the books on the floor, brushed her hair out of her face, and looked Draco up and down, a smirk on her face. "What are you doing here?"

"What business is it of yours?" Draco spat.

"Funny you should ask that," Ginny said, pulling a yellow piece of thread off of her black school robes.

"Why is that funny?"

"I'm the tutor," she replied, looking up at him and smiling.

Draco looked at her in disbelief and she cleared her throat before clapping her hands together. "Okay, you four! Let's get started.

There you see her

Sitting there across the way

She don't got a lot to say

But there's something about her

They sat in a circle and Ginny handed out star charts and books. She walked around as they worked, occasionally correcting or complimenting them before she sat down across from Draco.

Draco looked up, shaking his blonde hair out of his face, and began chewing on his sugar quill, deep in thought.

He glanced at Ginny and smiled, faintly. She hadn't talked to him much since she had actually started the session. In fact, she never really talked to him at all. Draco found himself wondering what it would be like to have a nice, long conversation with her. He also realized much to his dismay, that she was very beautiful.

And you don't know why,

But you're dying to try

You wanna kiss the girl

Draco continued to watch Ginny as she quietly explained something to Euan. Draco's eyes rested on Ginny's lips and suddenly, he couldn't stop thinking about what it would be like to kiss her. He knew he should have been revolted by the very thought, but he couldn't find it in himself.

Yes, you want her

Look at her, you know you do

Possible she wants you, too

There is one way to ask her

Ginny looked up and caught Draco looking at her with a smile on his face. She smiled in return and walked to him. She surveyed his star chart.

"What are you doing here, Malfoy? This is excellent," Ginny murmured, impressed.

Draco shrugged. "I guess you could say that I don't pay attention in class."

She took a brave step by stepping forward and squeezing his shoulder, smiling at him. He returned her smile and patted her hand. He was surprised when she didn't flinch or pull away, but rather turned her palm over and squeezed his hand before sitting down again across from him.

Draco resumed to chewing on his sugar quill and furrowed his brow, deep in thought. Maybe she does feel something towards me...

It don't take a word

Not a single word

Go on and kiss the girl

Draco groaned, quietly, curious again as to what Ginny would do if he just kissed her. He didn't understand why these thoughts were suddenly entering his head and he also knew that his father would murder him if he found out, but Draco couldn't help himself. He cleared his throat. "Uh, Ginny?" She lifted her head and he continued, "Can you help me locate these stars in the sky?"

Ginny nodded. "Sure."

Sing with me now.

Shalalalalalalala my oh my

Look like the boy too shy

Ain't gonna kiss the girl

Ginny helped Draco set his things up near a telescope and he gazed into the twinkling night sky. Ginny leaned in and asked, "Do you see Orion?"

Draco chuckled and looked at her. "I've been able to find that since I was four."

Her eyes glinted. "All right, then. Can you find Sirius?"

Draco looked down. Although he had passed two years ago, Draco knew that the Gryffindors that were there that night were still taking Sirius Black's death pretty hard.

Now, at seventeen, Draco was a little more sympathetic, or perhaps his growing attraction to Ginny was making him feel that way.

"I'm sorry," Draco replied in a soft voice.

Ginny looked distant and swallowed hard. "Yeah, so am I."

She looked up at him, a sad smile on her face, and Draco tucked a stray red strand of hair behind Ginny's ear. Her eyes widened, looking startled, but she then smiled and held his hand to her face.

Draco started to move forward, but then stopped himself. He was a Malfoy, what was he thinking? About to kiss a Weasley...?

Ginny sensed his hesitation and she backed away. "I'm going to go check up on Padma, Euan, and Luna. I'll check with you later."

Draco nodded, feeling angry with himself, as he watched her walk away.

Shalalalalalalala, ain't that sad?

Ain't it a shame? Too bad...

He gonna miss the girl

Draco watched Ginny, longingly, as she helped Padma find the current position of Venus. He had never stopped and actually thought about it, but he was going to miss Ginny. He was graduating this year and would no longer have somebody to trade snide remarks with.

Ginny's chocolate brown eyes met Draco's steely blue ones and she smiled, knowingly, as if she knew exactly what he had been thinking and agreed with him.

Now's your moment

Floating in a blue lagoon

Boy you better do it soon

No time will be better (lalalala)

Ginny dismissed Luna, Euan, and Padma claiming that Draco still didn't grasp the concept of Astronomy and had to stay a while longer. Though, they both knew that he was doing the best.

Ginny sat down by the telescope that Draco was looking through, quizzing him on current star positions. She stopped to get another piece of parchment and Draco looked down at her. She looked beautiful, cloaked by the bluish, silver moonlight.

Draco thought, yet again, of kissing Ginny. No one was around in the Astronomy Tower, easily one of the most romantic places in the castle, yet, for some reason, he couldn't muster the courage. He was so disgusted with himself for multiple reasons, and he was acting so childish that it drove him mad.

Ginny glanced up at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Draco lied.

She don't say a word

And she won't say a word

Until you kiss the girl

Draco wished that he knew what Ginny felt about him. He knew Ron, though. Even if Ginny did like Draco, Ron would murder Draco and lock Ginny away forever.

Draco also knew that Ginny wouldn't say anything about their relationship (or lack thereof) until he did something, but he couldn't bring himself to do the thing he wanted to do most of all.

Shalalalalalalala, don't be scared

You got the mood prepared

Go on and kiss the girl (whoa, whoa)

"Hey, Ginny," Draco started. She looked up and he cleared his throat. "Can you help me find Taurus?"

"Sure." Ginny smiled and stood up. She peered into the telescope, scanning the night sky for the constellation.

Draco sighed. This would be perfect, he thought. To kiss her right here and now in such a romantic place...

It would have made Draco so happy.

Shalalalalalalala, don't stop now

Don't try to hide it, how

You wanna kiss the girl (whoa, whoa)

Ginny looked up at Draco, "Here it is."

Draco smiled. "Thanks." He studied the ground. "Um, Ginny?"

"Yeah?" She was still looking up at him, trying to meet his eyes.

"You and I...well...we never really, like we never..." Draco stuttered.

"Got along? Talked civilly?" Ginny helped.

"Well, yes. Uh...also, I never told you, but I think you're...you're beautiful," he whispered the last part of that sentence, thinking it more than acknowledging that he said it. When it set in that he had said it, Draco's eyes widened and Ginny was blushing deeply. He tried to cover it up, "Er...I mean...uh...really nice."

Ginny giggled and tucked a stray strand of blonde hair behind Draco's ear just as he did the same to her. They smiled shyly at one another.

She has to know that I want to kiss her, Draco thought.

Shalalalalalalala, float along

And listen to the song

The song say, kiss the girl (whoa, whoa)

Draco sighed and wrapped his arms around Ginny's waist. His heart was pounding wildly and he felt slightly light-headed. He rubbed her cheek gently and she slightly closed her eyes at his touch. He realized that she was breathing just as heavily as he was.

Shalalalalalalala, the music play

Do what the music say

You gotta kiss the girl

Draco began stroking Ginny's long red hair. Her eyes were closed, now, as though just his very touch was enough to calm her to sleep. She tilted her head upward, subtly asking him for a kiss.

Kiss the girl

Draco ran both of his hands through her hair and she opened her eyes, smiling. She wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling him closer.

Kiss the girl

Draco hugged her and felt her giggling. He pulled away and looked down at her. "What are you laughing about?"

"You're stalling," she teased.

"I am not!"

"Prove it."

Kiss the girl

Draco took Ginny's face in his hands and took a deep breath, savoring this moment. Ginny looked so beautiful, doused in the moonlight, her chocolaty brown eyes gazing up at him, wanting him. He couldn't believe he was actually about to do this.

"Stalling," Ginny whispered in a quiet sing-song voice.

She closed her eyes as he began leaning in again. Their lips finally met in warm, moist, sugary perfection.

Ginny wrapped her arms around Draco's neck and they stood there for minutes, draped in the shadows from the twinkling night sky, simply kissing each other.

They finally pulled apart and Ginny stroked Draco's hair, a fond smile on her face.

"I've wanted you to do that for so long, I knew you'd have sugar sweet kisses just like those sugar quills," she murmured against his ear.

Draco looked down and smiled, lightly kissing her on the forehead and chuckling. "Hush."

Ginny lifted her head and Draco kissed her again.

Go on and kiss the girl.
