Chp 6: Moment of Sobriety

They were then suddenly slamming into the ground of a dark room. Ginny´s hand still clutched the box that held the ring. She looked over to Draco who was not by her side but instead kneeling behind a huge armchair that was beside a roaring fireplace. She looked around and desperately try to grasp her surroundings. `Where the hell was she? And what the fuck was Draco doing kneeling there,´ She touched the ring again, but it didn´t take her back to Hogwarts like it should have so she pocketed the box with the ring secure in it, into her pocket.
Her head was hurting rather badly at the fact that Draco had somehow led her here to this strange place and he had left her side leaving her alone!
"Draco!" she hissed but she didn´t even get a flinch from him, "Draco! What the hell is going on?" she cried out to him.
Draco couldn´t, he masked his face with a hard cold look and just looked straight ahead. Awaiting for the commands of his father.
"Draco-"
"Silence child! You´re whimpering is giving me a headache," Lucius snapped at her. He got up from his chair and stood up and looked down at her; a mass of Weasley red hair and tattered robes.
"Draco, lead her to the east tower. She will meet our master and if as you say your plan goes well, our special guests."
Lucius then watched as his son violently grab her by the arm with a sneer. He watched with amusement at the tortured look on her face as Draco did this.
"Not too close to my robes now Weasley. Don´t want them to be ruined now do we?" he snarled as he dragged her along.
Ginny felt hot tears ravage her eyes and fall, one after another. Her head was hurting and so was her arm. Draco betrayed her. She was foolish enough to think that Draco had really liked her. Her brother was right, he was very right. `No, No!´ her thoughts screaming, echoing painfully. `This can´t be true! This can´t be true!´
Her breath hitched in her chest and she let Draco drag her along. Draco was pained by this; she should be screaming at him, hitting him but all she was doing was being painfully quiet. Even her tears were silent.
When they reached the East tower he pulled her into the chamber and locked themselves in.
"Draco, what is this? What is going on?" she pleaded with him to let her in, to what was happening but he couldn´t. She might get hurt if she knew. Ginny might even die. Better she hate him then lay six feet under.
`Let go,´ Draco willed himself and sneered at her.
"I never knew I was such a gifted actor but then again you´re just a Weasley. You were easy, like putty in my hands," he walked around her, willing his eyes to portray his true feelings. He stepped closer facing her eye-to eye. "Did you enjoy what we did?" he asked softly, his breath tickling her ear.
The next thing Draco felt was Ginny´s hand giving him a hard slap across his cheek. It simmered with pain and his cheek flushed an apple red. He looked up at her and saw her lip quiver but she bit down into it hard to stop and it started to bleed.
His hand by reflex wanted to make it better but she took a step back.
" Tell me Draco. What is going on! Stop playing games with me! Tell ME!" she yelled.
"Nothing that you need to know!" he snarled back at her.
"So, this was all just a ploy? Letting silly little Ginny Weasley be the bait to Draco stinking Malfoy´s great plan!"
"I resent that! I do not, as you say, stink. I have very good personal hygiene thanks," Draco deadpanned.
Ginny, so used to hearing his jibes when they argued, continued. "It was all a game? Is that right Malfoy? Answer me Draco! Tell me now! You have one more chance; don´t let it go! Don´t blow it!" she eyed him squarely in the face searching his silver eyes, which looked as if they were scared and angry. It looked as if it held a tinge of guilt.
Then in a flash it disappeared and all that stared back at her was this cold lifeless silver orbs and he gave a dry laugh.
"How pathetic," Draco said shaking his head, he was about to turn away when Ginny looked away from him and let her hand go to her neck and break lose the clasp of her necklace and held it out to him.
"I hate you. I hate you so much Draco Malfoy. You are truly you´re father´s child. Leave me be," she said in a thin voice and walked over to the corner of the room.
"You haven´t been listening to me Virginia," he whispered to her. When Ginny heard this she turned and looked at him with hurt eyes. She wanted to tell him that she loved him so much but she stubbornly bit it down and just glared at him. He clutched the pendant in his hand and walked out of the room and out on her.

Harry, Hermione and Ron and Lavender were enjoying the cosy atmosphere of the Gryffindor common room in blissful silence. The sun was just setting comfortably and they were all waiting before dinner started.
Ron was rather worried as he hadn´t seen Ginny the whole day and he voiced them out.
"Oh Ron, their probably shagging as we speak," said Hermione lazily as she lay on Harry´s lap.
Ron immediately went the colour of a beet-root and was about to have an apoplexy over the mere thought of that.
"Calm down Ron, she was only joking! This is Hogwarts you know, a really huge castle with many floors and many rooms. They might be anywhere," Harry said smiling, hoping this would placate him, but it didn´t.
"Alone, my baby sister and," Ron made a face before continuing "Malfoy. Not a good combination. Believe me."
"She´s not a baby anymore Ron. She´s only a year younger than you," Lavender said gently.
Ron gave a pout but kept quiet until he heard a screeh of an owl. Ron looked up and thought maybe it was Hedwig with a reply from dear old Sirius, but it was an Eagle owl, with a letter in its talons.
It flew over Harry and released the letter. Harry caught it in mid air and the owl swooped out the way it came in.
He looked over at the letter carefully. He looked at the front where his name was scrawled simply and looked to the seal at the back. It was an M.
He opened it carefully and the first three lines made him drop the letter he had in one hand.
Harry´s eyes widened and his breathing became laboured. All he could get out was "Ginny", "kidnapped" and "Portkey".
Ron gave a roar and Hermione´s head furiously started working; trying to think of what to do.
"We should go to Dumbledore with this!" Lavender shouted her face suddenly looking aged.
"We can´t, we´ll be wasting time! We just have to go by ourselves!" Ron said totally flying off his handle as usual.
"Yes, but that might be someone´s plan! We could be playing right into their hands," Hermione said smartly, with her forehead creased with lines as she frowned.
"She´s right Ron. I´ll get my invisibility cloak," Harry ran at top speed and grabbed the shimmering material that once was his father´s possession.
When he came down, Ron and Hermione had asked Lavender to go to dinner and cover up for them.
He emptied the envelope and out came a quill. All three of them clutched at it and were transported to their uncertainty.
Leaving the half read letter to the floor.
