Chapter 5 ~ Plural

"You shouldn't rely on your dreams to tell you information, Harry. You killed more than two people in the future the moment you listened to that dream. Look into the orb and tell me what you see."

Harry complied, his stomach feeling heavier than ever. The image of Neville Longbottom appeared within the orb. His eyes were completely blank - expressionless. He had scratches across his face and he looked like he had gone through a lot of pain.

Harry let out a shuddering breath. "Why-"

"Shh. Watch."

A man's voice spoke, "As I walk through the valley in the shadow of death-"

"No!" Harry screamed as the screen showed three caskets being lowered into deep holes in the ground. He didn't want Neville to suffer even more. He had too much to deal with. His parents, tortured until the point of breaking, at St. Mungo's not able to recognize him when he goes to visit them - that was horrible. Now, losing even more. . . .

"Yes, Harry."

The image faded out and a house with the Dark Mark floating over it appeared. "Anias, Enid, and Algie Longbottom were attacked two nights ago by Death Eaters. They were trying to receive information on the Order of the Phoenix and murdered them for their silence. Neville escaped with a few scars after Bellatrix Lestrange used the Venustas curse upon him. That lucky, lucky boy."

"But what does that have to do with me?" Harry asked wide eyed.

"After the Department of Mysteries incident, the Dark Lord had confirmed that the Order of the Phoenix was re-assembled, for most of the members had come to your rescue during said incident. Would you like for me to show you more?"

"More?" Harry asked his eyes wider than ever.

The orb turned a blinding white and the face of Percy Weasley came into view. "Take a look at his arm." She paused. "More specifically - his left forearm," she said calmly.

Harry shook his head in disbelief. "No, not-" He paused when he saw it. The Dark Mark was prominent against his pale skin.

"Would you like to know why, Harry?"

He didn't answer - he didn't want to speak.

"Percy always had a never ending quest for power and riches that were beyond his reach. Last year he returned to the Ministry and met Lucius Malfoy. Lucius had heard about him disowning the family through a few friends and offered his hand in friendship. Percy, after all, is family - third cousin, once removed. Did you know that Percy had stayed at the Malfoy Manor for a few months?"

Harry shook his head, in shock.

"I didn't expect so."

"How do you know all this? Who are you!?" Harry yelled madly.

She laughed wildly. "I know things beyond your wild imagination, Harry. I see all. I hear all. You don't know me per se, but you've seen me and that will be the last time I'll repeat that."

"If I know you then how come I have never heard your voice before? Don't talk much?" Harry was starting to get horribly angry.

"Oh, I speak but only when it is required."

Harry growled. "You seem very talkative now," he said sarcastically.

"The sarcastic tone doesn't suit you, dear," she said in her calm voice "remember whom you're talking to."

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked. He was completely fed up with her and her calm annoying voice - and he thought that no one could beat Umbridge on his list of annoying people but she takes the cake.

"The sarcastic tone is not to be used with me, Harry dear."

Harry rolled his eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes at my or I'll roll that little head of yours on to the floor."

Harry's eyes widened, and he looked around. How is she watching me?

"Just kidding - I wouldn't want to do that until I get what I need."

"And that would be?" Harry asked holding back his frustration.

"You'll see what you're here for soon enough."

Harry sighed. "When will that be?"

"I said soon enough. Don't you trust me?"

He shook his head. "No! How could I trust a kidnapper?"

"Simple, little boy; I'm not a kidnapper."

"Then what are you?" Harry held back his anger.

"Call me a lesson - so to speak," she said with a small laugh.

Harry glared. "A lesson. Great so am I to call you Professor Annoying Voice?"

The orb glowed a blinding white and Luna's face materialized inside. "I wouldn't call me that if I were you, Potter, or you'll have to suffer the consequences if you do. Now, apologise!" she spoke in a menacing tone.

Harry's eyes widened. Right, like she would. Yet, he was a little bit unsure about that....

"You have three seconds. Three. Two-"

"Alright sorry!" Harry said, his eyes widening.

"I do hope you meant that, Harry." She paused. "Look at Luna; do you see anything different?"

"What did you do to her?!" Harry yelled. "You better-"

"Don't worry, I've done nothing to her, but do you see the shadow on her forehead?"

Harry's eyes widened even more and his throat tightened - he never wanted to see that shadow upon her face ever again - not after...

"I'm aiming at her now, do you think she knows?"

Harry didn't answer.

"She doesn't, Harry, I could hit her with a curse - want to see?"

Harry shook his head profusely. "No, don't. Please, don't," he said, trying to sound calm but inside he was panicking. His heart was pounding against his chest and a drop of sweat dripped down the spin of his back.

The image of Luna zoomed out and showed her reading the Quibbler outside next to a willow tree. "So happy - I hate people who are always happy - they get on my last nerves," she said steadily.

Harry's breathing elevated. "Don't hurt her! Please!" he pleaded when he saw a thick, black, shadowy dot upon Luna's nose.

"Wow, I've never seen a Potter beg before. Do you know how empowered that makes feel?"

"You're a sadistic bitch, you know that, don't you?" Harry said angrily through gritted teeth.

"Temper, temper, Harry, - and my name isn't sadistic bitch - just call me Belle, dear," she said sweetly.

Harry's eyes widened. Belle? Bellatrix Lestrange! His eyebrows furrowed slightly. She doesn't sound like Bellatrix but it has to be it just has to be - "You're Bellatrix, aren't you?"

She laughed. "Would that scare you if I was?"

Harry didn't answer. She has to be! Belle - Bellatrix! It makes sense.

"You don't think that Bellatrix is scary?"

Harry sighed exasperatedly. She's starting to get on my nerves again. "No, just answer the question!"

"Temper, once again, little Harry. If I were Bellatrix I would already have killed you and your friends. She has no patients whatsoever when it comes to dealing with people - but she enjoys torture. Making people suffer is fun for her and she wouldn't clown around if she didn't like you. With her, it's straight to the point."

"You sure know a lot about her, how do I know that you aren't her?" Harry asked, crossing his arms.

"Want me to show you?"

"Are you going to come out from hiding?" Harry asked in an irritated tone.

"I'm not hiding, Harry - I told you, I'm everywhere."

The orb glowed a deep shade of red and Bellatrix Lestrange's face came into view. "-ormtail has certainly done that much so far," Bellatrix said, nodding.

The lights flickered off only leaving enough light from the orb to show Bellatrix's face.

"See, that isn't me. I'm here in the flesh."
