Author's Note:
This is my new changed version so Hermione isn't dead. I like Hermione, but I didn't want her in my story.

Ginny Weasley walked through the barrier to Platform 9 and ¾ and nervously fingered her curly red hair.

She had grown taller during the summer before her sixth year and was now five-feet-five.

Ginny was getting more and more nervous as she made her way through the crowded platform, making sure to avoid Harry and her brother Ron.

She passed Seamus Finnigan and he whistled rather rudely.

"Looking good this year Ginny!" His eyes raked up and down her body inappropriately.

"Sod off Finnigan." Ginny said, then laughed and blew him a kiss. He jumped and pretended to catch it in his hand.

This was the fifth time someone had made a comment about her changes, though they usually added that she was no longer a stick thin fifteen-year-old, she was a mature sixteen-year-old with 'curves'.

Ginny had changed a lot over the summer, not just her appearance, but her personality. She was more cautious, yet not as shy as she once was. She was upbeat and outgoing and found herself not obsessing about Harry Potter. This was new to her and she needed some time to get used to it.

Ginny found that many of her friends didn't even recognize her.

She enjoyed this freedom as she roamed through the Hogwarts Express and finally picking an empty cabin at the end of the hall.

* I'm going to enter Hogwarts as the new Head Girl! I can't believe it! * Ginny thought as she put on her new robe.

It was full length because in sixth and seventh year girls were ordered to wear new robes that were more dresses than robes. Boys got to keep standard issue.

The new robes meant that if you unclasped one clasp you would probably be able to see the outline of her bra.

* I can't believe Hermione transferred! *

Hermione had transferred to a school in America. Lervoc's School for the Gifted and Talented Witch. It was an all girls school.

When Hermione told her devastated friends, she mentioned something about it being a wonderful learning experience for her.

Everyone was glad to hear she would be coming back to London after she graduated so she could join Harry and Ron in Auror's training.

Ginny's train of thought was interrupted by the sound of the door opening.

White blond hair.

Piercing silver gray eyes.

The arrogant smirk.

It was the annoying git Draco Malfoy.

She noticed that he too had changed over the summer.

His hair was no longer it's usual slickness, it was spiked. Emphasizing his 'bad boy' look.

He was now about six feet tall and towered over Ginny.

"Hello, I'm Draco Malfoy," he drawled, assuming she was a transfer.

"Don't you recognize me Draky?" Ginny said innocently, making sure to use the nick-name Pansy had dubbed him the previous year.

"Weasley? I should have known. Red hair, but for once you have a new robe!" he laughed cruelly.

** It seems Mini-Weasel's grown up a bit. Probably still as shy and pathetic as she was last year! **

"I hope this is not the only compartment left,' Ginny spat, disgust written all over her face.

"I'm sorry to say that it is Weasley." He said the last word like it was toxic waste. He sat as far away from Ginny as he could and stared out the window.

Ginny surveyed him from the corner of her eye.

He was very muscular and had obviously been playing Quidditch throughout the entire summer.

Draco looked at Ginny's chest and she realized he must be looking at her Head Girl Badge.

"Yes, I'm Head Girl."

Draco jerked his head up and felt his cheeks go slightly pink.

"I'm Head boy." He frowned, "I guess this means we'll be spend way to much time together."

Both Ginny and Draco's shoulders sagged.

"It'll be hell on Earth," he muttered.

"You can say that again," Ginny said, and as Draco started to open his mouth she quickly added, "But don't!"

He beautiful gray eyes drew into slits.

"I can't believe they mad a bloody Weasley Head Girl!" he said, venom dripping with every word.

"And I can't believe they made a moronic, self-centered, disgusting git Head Boy!" she retorted with equal malice.

Ginny glared at him with a dangerous look on her face.

Before they could pull out their wands and do some serious damage to each other, the train stopped.

Ginny started walking to the door but tripped on her robes and went careening for the floor.

Surprisingly, Draco caught her before she hit the carpet.

She looked up into his stormy gray eyes, which were now inches from hers and stuttered a thank you before rushing out.

Ginny ran off the Hogwarts Express and caught the carriage where Parvati, Lavender, Padma, and a few other girls were seated. There was room for one more so Ginny sat down in between Parvati and Padma.

They talked about various things such as boys, classes, teachers, couples, boys, more boys, even more boys, etc.

When they reached the castle, Ginny ran to catch up with Ron and Harry.

She walked up to a green-eyed, black-haired, five feet, five inch tall sixteen-year-old boy, and her red-haired, blue-eyed, six feet tall sixteen year old brother.

"Hello," the black-haired boy said, "I'm Harry Potter. Are you a transferee?"

*** She's a hot transferee, *** Harry thought.

Ginny laughed.

"Hey Gin," Ron said, he looked at Harry. "You don't recognize her?"

"Ginny?" Harry said in disbelief.

Ron laughed and slapped Harry on the back.

"You look...wow...I mean..." Harry bumbled his speech, blushing.

"You do too!" Ginny said and smiled. Both of the boys' ears turned pink. Harry's from embarrassment and Ron's from laughing so hard.

"So..." Harry said, trying to make conversation, "What's new?"

Ginny grinned. "Well..." she drawled, "I'm Head Girl!"

"Wow! I wonder who's Head Boy?" Harry began pondering this question.

"Unfortunately, it's Malfoy," said Ginny glumly.

As they walked slowly to the Great Hall Ron and Harry said what they would do to Malfoy if he did or said anything to Ginny. She tuned out of this and kept on walking, thinking about her and Draco's exchange.

When they finally reached the Great Hall Ginny left Ron and Harry and went to sit at the Head Table. She would only be doing this on the first day back though.

After the Sorting, Dumbledore made his usual announcements and introduced the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Jonvair.

After this introduction Dumbledore motioned for Ginny and Draco to stand up.

* This is going to be the best year! Even Malfoy can't ruin it! *

"And our new head Boy and Girl! I do believe they deserve a round of applause!"

The Slytherins were applauding Draco, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff were applauding Ginny.

She set her face into a dazzling smile and scanned the crowd.

There was Colin Creevy, her admirer, clapping like mad.

There was Ron, smiling and clapping but also looking like he knew a pleasant secret.

There was Harry, looking...amazed.

He stared at her.

They made eye contact.

Harry blushed and looked away.

A/N: I will have the next chapter up in less then two weeks. I hope. If any of you who bother reading this are also d/hr shippers, then I was wondering if you wanted a story like this with Draco/Hermione instead of Draco/Ginny. It's the same story, same plot, practically same summary. If you want this, then say it in your review!

Thanks A bunch!

Much Love To All d/g and d/hr shippers!
