The Plan is set in motion. The staff indulges in high-stakes gambling and amateur psychoanalysis. Professor Snape starts feeling his age. A little more about the Feud is revealed.

The girls finalize their plans and come up with a few new ones. Ginny is confronted with her unstable mental state about Malfoy.

The night of the detention arrives, and the girls put the first part of their plan in action. Ginny deals with underwear issues and Hermione asks some questions nobody else thought to ask.

Ginny goes activist, Hermione goes inspirational, and some of the boys learn that they've got a few dirty-minded thoughts in common.

Safe in their circle, the girls finally cut loose, while the boys look on and try to figure out whether the girls are crazy...or they are.
