Linus Berowne is the cartoonist behind "Martin Miggs, the Mad Muggle." His satiric wit has been annoying the Ministry of Magic for twenty-five years. But things turn sinister one full-moon night at the height of Dolores Umbridge's power, when Linus meets a werewolf...

The Healers try to convince Linus he'll be able to lead an Almost Normal Life. He meets his new roommate, Arthur Weasley. Tonks has a friendly chat with a madwoman.

Linus and Remus discuss the Umbridge-era werewolf laws and the possible medical applications of the Entrail-Expelling Curse. Tonks trips over a Fantastic Beast and discovers a burglary.

Linus endures his first full moon as a werewolf and comes home from the hospital. He has an unexpected visitor.

Linus has an unexpected visitor and several increasingly unpleasant encounters with the Werewolf Registry.

Linus discovers that werewolves are not popular drinking buddies in the wizard world, and confers with Kingsley and Tonks about the circumstances surrounding his bite. Meanwhile, Healer McRae answers an urgent summons but arrives too late to save a patient's life.

Tonks and Kingsley confer about the suspects. Linus goes out on a date with Celia and receives a sinister letter from an old schoolmate.

Sirius is depressed, Remus is worried, and Linus and Celia discover that it's not a good idea to attend a class reunion with Tom Riddle without backup.

Having stumbled into a Death Eater ambush, Linus and Celia are looking for explanations. Remus provides them.

Linus has a suspicion about the werewolf who bit him. Moody and Tonks go to investigate, and interrupt a crime in progress.

Linus publishes a comic book about a werechicken. In the aftermath of their firechat with Harry, Remus and Sirius argue about which of them should confront Snape about stopping the Occlumency lessons. Fred and George flee from Umbridge and turn up at Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place.

Remus and Sirius confront Snape about his decision to end the Occlumency lessons. Predictably, the conversation does not end well. Tonks discusses Sirius' mental state with an Alienist and learns some new information about the Longbottoms.

Sirius hosts a dinner party. Hope McRae recovers consciousness, but is unable to say anything about her attackers. In the basement of St. Mungo's, Tonks makes a serendipitous discovery.

Linus tracks down the werewolf who bit him and the friend who betrayed him. The Ministry, however, is hot on his trail...

The Order prepares for the Department of Mysteries battle.

Linus goes to confront Umbridge, only to find that she's beyond the reach of justice. While keeping vigil beside Tonks' bedside at St. Mungo's, Remus notices something alarming on the wall.
