----------The Fat Muggle, Ten Years Later. chapter four, "The search for Malfoy"---------

I remember the day I was caught breaking the rules.

The day my freedom was taken from me.

The day You destroyed me.

My brain was playing Devils advocate and told me things.

I remember it as if it was only an hour ago it happened.

Time to run home, too late to run home, because the gates are closing.

In the depth of your heart you know the Hunters and the Dogs have caught up with you.

You turn around and you are trapped.

You hear the Dogs barking in the distance.

Yes, when it was your turn, you were alone.

You turned around and you were alone.

I would have gotten out even if he hadn't helped me.

It would just have taken longer.

I could have made it big.

If it weren't for You.

I hate You and I will do what You did to me.

I don't know how yet, but believe me; I'll destroy Your lives.

Harry opened the letter with trembling fingers.

He read out loud.

"Bet you didn't expect to hear from me. You are trying to find me, I know, but you won't find me. Unless I help you. Look out for the painted one and you might just find my trail. the painted one is just the first, but there will be more, I guarantee you.

Why give you clues? Why not?

Draco Malfoy, King of Pain."

Harry put the letter in his pocket and leaned against the wall.

"We have to show Hermione," Ron said.

"I'll tell Albus you won't be coming to class, Harry," Colin said and evaporated.

The trio left Hogwarts and Apparated to the Ministry.

"You called for me, Ms Granger?" Grindle walked into Hermione's office and closed the door.

Dudley, and Harry were sitting in the chairs opposite Hermione and Ron was standing in the corner.

Hermione levitated Malfoy's letter to Grindle and he read it through.

"Would you take that and get a Location Analysis on it so we know where it came from?" Hermione asked Grindle.

He nodded and was about to leave when she stopped him.

"I want you and your team to join up with Harry, Dudley and Mr Weasley in catching Malfoy."

"What? Why?" Grindle asked.

"Yeah, why do we have to work with him?" Ron said, clearly upset.

"Because even thought we four know Malfoy personally and could get him ourselves, Grindle's team is handling the case," Hermione said.

"So take him off the case! I don't want to work with him after our last co-mission," Ron shouted.

Grindle didn't look too pleased either.

"Well, that's just the way it is! So get used to it! You're dissmissed," Hermione shouted back.

They left the room, Ron storming out first, and Grindle left to analyse the letter.

Harry and Dudley walked around in Ron's office, in silence, waiting for the result.

After half an hour, Grindle returned.

"I notified Ms Granger of our departure, so let's get moving," he said and dissapeared from the doorway.

"Departure? Where are we going?" Harry asked as they tried to catch up to him.

"To the letter's origin," Grindle answered.

He was carrying a long suitcase with the Ministry's logo on it.

"Well, Duh! Where is that?" Ron said surly and pulled on his leather uniform as he walked last in the line.

"Sweden! It seems Harry's theory was correct. Malfoy must be hiding in one of the major citys in the south of Sweden, so we're just getting clearance for a Portkey and we're off," Grindle said and flung up a door to a circular room where there was a fat man with a blue beard in a small booth, eating a donut.

"'Ello, Ben! Where to today?" the fat man asked.

"Hi, Jules. South Sweden," Grindle answered stiffly and handed Jules his Auror ID card.

Jules waved his wand over it and returned it to Grindle along with a receipt.

"Yer due in seven minutt's. Ye kno' what to do," Jules said and handed them an old porno magasine and pointed to a small door to the left.

They walked through it and stood in a big circle in the center of the room and held the filthy magasine, in silence.

"I hope the dumb Scot remembered to get us a hotel room this time," Ron said, still pissed.

Grindle looked at the receipt and confirmed that he had indeed remebered.

Then the magasine flickered and they felt the tug behind their navels and they were on their way.

They landed with a thud on the floor of their hotel room.

It was big and had four beds already made for them.

"Where are your team, Grindle?" Ron asked.

"I didn't bring them. Too many of us would just give us un-needed attention," he answered and sat down on one of the beds.

He placed the suitcase next to it.

Dudley opened the balcony and looked out over the city.

There was a big statue of a man on a horse in the square below, and Dudley could smell hamburgers.

There was a McDonalds on the corner, next to a toystore.

What an excellent way to squeese money out of a family with small kids, Dudley thought.

"Which city is this, anyway?" Dudley asked.

"I think we are in Malmo, the biggest city in Skane, the absolute south of the country," Grindle said and started reading a newspaper, but it was in swedish.

"Fuck!" he said and threw it away.

"What?" Dudley asked.

"It's in swedish! I can't fucking read swedish!"

"Give it to me, I'll read it," Dudley said and picked it up/

Ron looked at him funny, so did Harry.

"You don't speak swedish," Ron said.

"No. But when we left school, I got to keep the Smartwatch and you can learn languages perfectly with it in a few minutes," Dudley said and pushed a button on the Smartwatch and started reading.

He didn't know what the words meant at first but as he kept reading, they made sense and soon he had learned the entire langauge.

"There! I now speak swedish!" he exclaimed.

Ron didn't believe him.

"Oh yeah? Then say something," he said.

"Like what?" Dudley asked.

"Anything!"

"Ok. Erh...Du ser vansinnigt sot ut nar du ar arg!" Dudley said and giggled.

"Blimey! What did that mean?" Harry said, impressed.

"Oh. not much. Just that the Smartwatch is incredible," Dudley lied.

"I didn't hear you say Smartwatch," Ron said.

"Oh..erh...Then you should have listned closer," Dudley lied again and began reading the newspaper; Kvallsposten it was called.

"Vadret ar varmt idag och imorgon, bla bla bla, politikerna aker pa semester pa skattepengar, blabla, Oj," Dudley sat and read and talked out loud.

"I found something," he said suddenly.

"Pojke hittades ihjalbiten och malad over hela kroppen!" Dudley looked at them. They looked at him as if he was stupid.

"In english, please," Harry said.

"Oh sorry. Boy found bitten to death and painted over the entire body," Dudley said.

Grindle jumped from his bed and ran over to Dudley.

"Where did this happen?" he asked.

"Erh...in Trelleborg!" Dudley answered.

"We got that bastard now! Come on!!" Grindle said and grabbed his suitcase.

They went downstairs and asked for a map in the reception.

They located Trelleborg and found it was only forty minutes east by bus.

But they werent' taking the bus.

They walked outside and followed Grindle in to the nearest alley.

Grindle opened the suitcase he'd brought along once they were safe from Muggle eyes.

The suitcase contained four broomsticks; all were the latest model, Thunderbird!

"Now, you who haven't flown on the Thunderbird before need to know this, hold on! We can travel a distance of five kilometres in less than a minute on these baby's and that's real fast," Grindle said.

"They are too fast for playing Quidditch with so they have been banned from the game and now only Aurors are flying them in the line of work," Ron added.

They mounted the brooms and rose into the air so fast that they were a good fivehundred yards above the city in a few seconds.

Ron took out a compass and pointed to the east.

They all shot off and were on their way to Trelleborg.

Where Malfoy was hiding.
