Author's Note:
The information that Trelawney says about the palm's Loveline aren´t fiction at all. They are accurate as I´ve meddled in the arts of Divination with cards, Pyromantics and palms.

The following day was spent by Hermione in looking in as many books as she could find about Mares and sleeping spells to find out either what was wrong or if Harry's dreams could be because of something else. Last night's failure was still very fresh in mind and Hermione hated it when she was wrong.

Harry was still as tormented as before with the slight difference that now he felt even more beaten down about the fact that his dreams might not be what Hermione had told them they were.

Ron was freaked out, but in a good way, about Hermione's actions the previous evening. Harry and Neville, and even Seamus, Dean and Ginny, noticed a sudden change in Ron's behaviour and Ginny assured them that Ron only behaved this way when he was in love. This made the four of them laugh very evilly.

Neville spent the day in a dream state; he also seemed to be in love, but it was hard to tell.

Harry caught Hermione in the library reading the biggest book he'd ever seen. She was frowning and seemed to not be able to get a grip of anything.

"Found anything yet?" Harry asked her and sat down opposite to where she was sitting. She scratched her head.

"If it isn't a Mare then it isn't a ghost, semi or full demon, ghoul or any other spectral entity, as a Mare is the only spectral creature that preys on sexual energy," Hermione said in a big sigh. Harry didn't know what that meant exactly, but he let on that he did.

"So what does that mean?" he asked.

"It means that there are only three other options that could possibly explain your dreams," Hermione said and started searching for a specific page in the giant book. She ran her fingers down the page and showed Harry.

"Here. This is the first option. Someone could have put you under a spell just to mess with you and if that's true I think we are safe to say it is Malfoy who's behind it. No one else hates you as much as he to actually risk expulsion just for a mean joke," Hermione said. Harry looked on the page, but it said that this spell had to have been performed during the fullmoon and inside a cylinder shaped room and Harry knew he hadn't been in a cylinder shaped room in his life. And it hadn't been a fullmoon yet since school started again so this option was out of the question. Harry told Hermione so and even though she looked slightly taken down she knew it couldn't be.

"What about the other options?" Harry asked. Hermione flipped through the book again and found a page dubbed "Incantations".

"This. An incantation can be performed from anywhere in the world and the person that it is being cast on doesn't even have to be in the same country for it to work. But the whole point of these kinds of spells was created just because of that. If you use an Incantation close range it may backfire on you," Hermione said.

"What's the closest range you can safely perform an Incantation?" Harry asked. Hermione searched for the answer on the page.

"Eighty miles! So then we can rule this one out as well," Hermione said.

"That brings us to option number three," she said.

"A normal curse. There we have a solid answer. It could have been sent to you in a letter without you knowing it because it doesn't necessarily have to be cast with a wand directly on to you. It can be compressed and sent as a letter or a package. And the moment you open it you're struck by the curse without even knowing it," Hermione said.

"There we have it! That's just like something Malfoy would do, isn't it?" Harry said. Hermione nodded.

"How do you undo it?" Harry asked. Hermione flipped the pages looking for the counter curse.

"I'll have to get back to you on that one. I have to find the exact curse first before I find the counter curse," Hermione said. Harry was happy. He got up and hugged her.

"I have to run. I've got Divination in ten minutes. Good job, Hermione," Harry said and left the library.

Harry almost fell asleep in the fumes and hot air in Divination class. Ron had already nudged him several times to keep him from doing so, but Harry was really tired after his troubled nights. Trelawney had already eyed him three times.

"What's your problem Harry?" Ron asked quietly. Harry looked at him with slightly droopy eyes, frowning.

"Are you for real? Haven't you been a part of the past weeks events? If not then where is my buddy Ron Weasley and what have you done with him?" Harry hissed. Ron looked around him, quite miffed, as if he actually was looking for himself among the other students.

"Whu? Are you alright Harry? It's me, Ron," Ron said still not catching on to Harry's sarcasm. Harry rolled his eyes.

"For God's sake, Ron! I'm tired because of the dreams!" Harry exclaimed. Ron finally understood the conversation. He shrugged as if saying, "Oh, I knew that all along," before going back to reading Harry's palm. Trelawney flew from student to student like a hummingbird supervising them. She came over to Harry and Ron. She didn't even notice that Harry had yet again fallen asleep as she glanced in Harry's palm and then quickly grabbing it. Trelawney pulled Harry's hand to get a better look. Harry woke up and swinged his wand in a horizontal attack as if to fend off some invisible foe, but quickly realised what had happened.

"Oh dear Mr Potter! I see troublesome times ahead for you," Trelawney said. Her eyes grew even larger than they already were.

"What else is new?" Harry said lowly, still a bit dazed from his recent nap. Trelawney pulled on his hand some more and ran her fingers over Harry's hand.

"I see infatuation mixed with chemicals in your past, Potter," Trelawney said. Harry and Ron instantly pointed their ears. Trelawney usually foretold Harry's death, but this seemed like something different.

"You what? I'm not going to die a horrible death?" Harry asked. Trelawney looked further.

"There is uneasy sleep and lust in your present, I see. This must mean you've recently become active, Mr Potter," she said and winked at him with a slight smile. Harry frowned.

"Active?" Harry asked.

"Sexually active!" Trelawney exclaimed and all of the other students began snickering. Harry felt like smashing his head in with a gauntlet. But wait! Sexually active? That's not right.

"What? I'm not sexually active at all!" Harry shouted and immediately regretted it as everyone began laughing out loud.

"Oh yes you are!" Trelawney said.

"With these lines and those small 'X's' crossing them! Each 'X' means a sexual or emotional relationship over the Loveline in your right hand and the deeper it is the more passionate it is. Look for yourself," Trelawney said and shove Harry's hand into his face and true it was; one big "X" cut into the beginning of his Loveline and Harry could quickly calculate around what age on the line the X was. It couldn't be precisely accurate, but there was no doubt that at sixteen years of age, Harry would have a flaming hot romance.

"Oh shit!" Harry gasped. Trelawney flinched from his choice of words. Then she kept on scanning his palm.

"Well if you haven't started yet then you will within a very short period of time. Mark my words," she said. Harry actually believed Trelawney for once.

"Who?" Harry asked.

"Can't tell. Impossible really. But you will however have four children named Logan, Ben, Tristan and Rogue," Trelawney said. Harry and Ron's eyes grew enormous.

"No not while you're at Hogwarts! You'll be in your thirties when the daughter is born. But I do question your choice of name for he poor thing," Trelawney said and released Harry's palm. Incredible, Harry thought. He'd always had trouble believing in Trelawney's predictions, but that was when they were all about his gruesome death. This was way different.

Harry and Ron told Hermione about Trelawney's prediction, but Hermione merely shrugged.

"So? Don't tell me you actually believe her? You know she's a hack!" Hermione said.

"We know, but this was strange. How could she know about my dreams?" Harry said.

"But what did she mean about chemicals and infatuation in your past, Harry?" Ron asked. Hermione stopped sudden.

"Chemicals and infatuation? She didn't say chemicals mixed with infatuations, did she?&rdquoHermione asked.

"As a matter of fact, she did. What does that mean?" Harry asked.

"I'm not sure, but that might imply that we're not dealing with a curse at all. It could be a potion," Hermione said.

"A Potion? Aren't love potions very hard to create?" Ron asked.

"Yes they are. But a love potion works differently than to what is happening to Harry. It's his dreams that plague him and he doesn't even know who he should be in love with," Hermione said. Harry and Ron nodded in agreement.

"And when you're under the influence of a lovepotion you definitely know who you are in love with," she continued.

"Then it must be a different potion?" Ron said. Hermione nodded, thinking.

"Hang on! I think I remember seeing something about potions that has effect on the mind in our Potionsbook. But we haven't got to that part yet. I was just flipping through the book and found this chapter in the latter part of it," Harry said. Hermione seemed to understand something.

"Effect on the mind? The subconscience?" Hermione asked.

"Don't remember," Harry said.

"Then we have to check it out," Ron said. The three of them dashed away towards the common room immediately. But they had no idea that someone had heard everything they'd said. And that someone had plans on stopping the three from finding out what was happening. By all means necessary.
