Chapter Six

"You think that these love charms are the Negaverse's next attack?" Hermione whispered as the girls sat up in their dormitory while Paravati and Lavender were sound asleep.

Anna nodded firmly. "I'm sure of it," she replied. "Most wizards don't even bother with love charms anymore. Wizards know that stuff doesn't work. So why the sudden opening of a love charm place that specialises in that stuff? It's a bit dodgy to me."

"I have to agree with Anna on this one," Artemis agreed, scratching his white whiskers. "But they've just ended an attack. How could they have gotten regrouped so fast?"

"Don't think so hard on it, Artemis," Anna said with a smile. "You've got enough white hairs as it is."

Both of the teenagers laughed and Luna suppressed a smile. Artemis, however, barred his teeth at the girl.

"Peace, Artemis, peace," Anna said in mock terror, falling dramatically onto the bed.

Hermione shook her head and glanced at the other two girls in the dormitory. Thankfully, there were sound asleep, despite the racket the two Sailors and their guardians were causing. "So what about these love charms?" she asked Anna. "How do you suppose we should handle it?"

"Just like we always do," Anna answered simply. "We should investigate the place but keep it casual."

"Sounds good, but I always go with Ron and Harry to Hogsmeade," Hermione explained and Anna frowned. "I suppose I can get Ron to go, but Harry's another story."

"And that Harry doesn't seem like the type who will go to a place like that, especially with it's reputation," Luna agreed. "I suppose the best plan is for Hermione to go with Ron and Harry but be on alert. Anna, you and I will go to the love charms shop and see what we can come up with. Artemis, you stay with Hermione."

"Can't you guys come up with some gadgets or something?" Anna grumbled to her. "Like communicators or something like that?"

Luna looked at her, surprise in her eyes. "Well, of course we have communicators, Anna," she said. "I forgot about them. There was just no need for them when it was just you."

With a soft meow, Luna leaped into the air and two watches dropped onto the bed. One was pink and had the crescent moon on it and the other was indigo and had the symbol of Mercury on it.

"These are your communicators," Artemis said proudly as he looked at them. "You're right, Luna, we did forget about these. All you have to do to activate it is to tell the watch which Sailor you want to talk to and then talk into it."

"Cool," Anna said, slipping hers onto her wrist. "You know, these gadgets make the superhero stuff worth it."

Hermione raised her eyebrows and shook her head. "The saving peoples lives thing doesn't?" she asked, but Anna only grinned at her. Hermione sighed, rolling her eyes. But somewhere deep inside of her, Hermione thought that this fighting against the Negaverse was only beginning.

Jedite smiled as he poured dark energy into the charms. The charms sparkled to life as the Dark Mark glowed on them only for a moment before vanishing.

"It won't be long now, master," he whispered delightedly. "Soon the pathetic humans will come flocking in here and be under our control. The minute they leave the store with one of our charms, they will be controlled by the Dark Order!"

"Not a bad plan, General," a voice spoke up. Jedite turned to see a boy with white blond hair standing behind him. He was around sixteen with silver eyes reminiscent of one of the Death Eaters, Lucius Malfoy.

"Lucius Malfoy's son, Draco," Jedite said carelessly, returning to his work. "I don't have time to play with you, boy. Just bring some of your classmates tomorrow when we open. I'd suggest buying one yourself, but I doubt your father would be pleased by that."

"Probably not," Draco replied with a smirk. "My father sent me here to inform you that the Sailor Scouts had better be wiped out this time. Otherwise even if you get as much energy as you say you will with this plan, you're out."

Jedite stood up and turned his attention to Draco, who leaned against the doorway. "What makes you think that I won't get rid of them, Mr. Malfoy?" he asked, dark eyes narrowing.

"Well, that Sailor Moon has outwitted you several times before, General," Draco pointed out simply. "And now she has that friend of hers to help. If you ask me, you've got your work cut out for you. They beat you good last time, didn't they?"

"Oh and you could do better?" Jedite asked, glaring at the boy. This Death Eater-in-training was driving the end of his patience.

"Didn't say that," Draco replied, shaking his head. "I've got enough to worry about with Potter and his friends. Speaking of which, I'm going to try and make sure they come tomorrow. If you can get them out of the way, you'd be doing me a favour."

"Why would I want to do you any favours?" Jedite sneered at the younger boy. "You're not my ally and I am certainly not yours."

"But I have pull with the Dark Lord," Draco pointed out. "As of now, I am on his good side. Get rid of Potter and I might be able to pull a few strings with him and get you out of the mess that you've gotten yourself into. But this has to work both ways. You get rid of Potter, I'll help you. What do you say, General?"

Jedite stared at Draco, considering the matter. "Bring Potter to the shop tomorrow and I'll see what I can do," he replied. "But I'm going to have enough trouble with just the Sailors. And I've heard Potter is just as much a problem as they are."

"That is why you've failed so many times, General," Draco replied smoothly, walking back out the door as quietly as he had come in.

He was having the dream again. Harry looked around through the thick fog in which he could never see through.

"Here again," he whispered, looking down at himself. Sure enough, he was in the same tuxedo that he had worn the previous trip to this dream. "Why do I keep coming here? Why am I always dressed like that? And where's that girl?"
He had no sooner spoken than a voice came from out of nowhere. "My prince . . ."

Looking around, Harry saw the castle and the same girl with long hair was standing on the balcony again.

"Find the Emperium Silver Crystal," she begged him. "Find the Emperium Silver Crystal and set me free."

"But who are you, anyway?" Harry yelled at her, but she didn't seem to hear his questions. Would she ever? Would he ever see her outside his dream world?

"My prince . . ." the girl whispered, her voice fading as it had before. "Find the Emperium Silver Crystal."

His eyes flew open and Harry found himself lying in bed, looking up at the ceiling of his four-post bed. Letting out a sigh, he sat up, rubbing his hands through his hair in frustration.

Enough was enough. He was positive that this dream was no ordinary dream. Even if it wasn't sent by Voldemort to lure him into a trap--which he was certain it wasn't, since Voldemort had stayed out of his mind since Harry forced him out of his mind last June--Dumbledore still needed to know about it. It could be important.
