The Future Will Be Better Tomorrow

The Death Eaters have new recruits. Percy does an Anakin Skywalker, Marcus languishes in unrequited love all while making Nefarious Evil Schemes, and Adrian bakes muffins. Set mostly in 1994 to 1998. Occasional deviation from canon. To summarise with a quote from the Bard, "Fair is foul and foul is fair: Hover through the fog and filthy air." Beta-ed by Aefre, who declines to be named.

In chapter two: Marcus hates Scots. He really does. He hates them all and wishes England had killed all the Scots in all the previous clashes. Marcus really, really hates the Scots. And no, he's not in denial. Why would he be? He has no reason to be in denial. Of course he wasn't in denial. He was not in denial. Oh, wait. Is that Oliver Wood walking past? Marcus wisnae in denial.

A boring chapter deserves a boring summary. In this chapter, Percy learns more about the Death Eaters through lessons with Nott, and he gets a surprise visit.

Two little boys harass Marcus Flint. Marcus harasses Percy. Antonin harasses Marcus for harassing Percy. Voldie harasses everyone. Adrian is harassed the most.

Percy is so hitting on Adrian. But in a very subtle way of course, otherwise it would not fit his character.

Barty Crouch cameos! And so do the Hogwarts students! This is at the end of the school term in Harry's seventh year, and Draco is heroic! (Disclaimer: Exclamation marks used in summary are not an indication of the mood of this chapter, which is rather un-exclamation mark-y.)

And so we continue from the cliffhanger ending from the previous chapter. Every Hogwarts founder has a gift for students of their house, and author disregards the bias of J.K. Rowling towards Gryffindor.

And so the trials begin, and so begins the countdown.
