Author's Note:
This is just a fixed up version of the original. Still, read and review, let me know what you think! I'd like some feed back as to what should happen next, and I'd love to know what you like/dislike, and what you want to see happen.

Ginny Weasley put down her book for a moment to move her leg. She winced as she felt the numb pain in her leg. Her leg was a little more than just broken, and though she had been in the hospital wing for three days, it would take more than just a few days to heal. She was usually quite alone in the infirmary; she rarely got visited by anyone except Colin Creevey, who brought her daily homework, and her brother Ron, who would checkup on her each day. She hadn't yet been visited by Harry, which was a great disappointment, yet she kept telling herself that he was probably just busy. Hermione had come with Ron the day before, but other than that, nobody seemed to care.

It was just before noon, and classes were in session, so Ginny was shocked when the door opened, she was even more shocked when she saw who had entered; Draco Malfoy was standing just inside the infirmary door clutching his right arm. Ginny saw a bandage made of white cloth wrapped around his arm, and red was seeping through it.

Wow, I would have thought Malfoy bled green blood, she thought, who knew he was human?

Madam Pomfrey hurried over to Draco Malfoy, and Ginny couldn't quite hear what either was saying. But she did know that she'd finally get the company she was longing for, although, she'd rather be alone than with a Malfoy, she shuddered remembering her first year, when the thoughtlessness of a Malfoy had almost killed her.

Ginny spent the next few hours reading her book, Roald Dahl's "the Witches," a muggle book written by an author who thought witches were evil beings. Well, not all of us are evil, thought Ginny.

After a few hours, Ron and Hermione entered the hospital wing smiling.

"How are you doing?" Ron asked. "Is your leg any better?"

"Oh yes," Ginny lied. "What have you been up to?"

"School and homework, of course," Hermione replied.

Ginny smiled. She had rather been hoping that she'd see Harry today, but he hadn't come.

"The Yule Ball's coming up," said Ron, "you'll be all better by then, won't you?"

Ginny shrugged, "only time will tell..."

"Oh! Excellent news!" Hermione cried. "Harry asked Cho Chang to the ball, and she said yes! Isn't it wonderful?"

Ron gave Hermione a look of warning.

"It's all right Ron, really. I'm happy for Harry and Cho," Ginny lied once more. "But isn't Cho upset about Cedric anymore?"

Hermione shrugged, "well she has to move on, doesn't she; I mean what kind of a girl would she be if she spent all her time crying over her dead boyfriend?"

Ginny shrugged, and looked over to the infirmary door, where Colin had just entered, a stack of books in his hands. "Hi Colin," she said glumly. Colin wasn't Ginny's favourite person in the world, in fact, she didn't like him at all.

Colin smiled brightly.

"We should get going," said Ron, and he and Hermione left Ginny alone with Colin. Or so Ginny thought. She had forgotten about Draco Malfoy, until Colin suddenly took a picture.

"Colin! I do wish you wouldn't take pictures of me in here!" she yelled.

"I wasn't taking a photo of you!" he said.

"Then what were you taking a photo of? Madam Pomfrey?" Ginny snapped.

"No, Draco Malfoy," he replied.

"Oh," said Ginny, slightly embarrassed.

"Harry will really like that one," said Colin, "he would love to see Malfoy hurt."

"Harry's not like that!" snapped Ginny.

"Well, anyway, here's your homework, Snape says he hopes you get better soon," said Colin.

"Did he really?" Ginny asked.

"Actually, he said it serves you right for being such a failure at potions, and you'd best get better quick, or you'll be failing his class this term," Colin replied with a polite smile. He dropped her homework on her bedside table, and bid her goodbye.

Once he had left, Ginny heard the cold drawl of Draco Malfoy. "Why do you lie so much? I thought Weasleys were meant to be all honest and everything," he said.

Ginny jumped at the sound of his voice. When she got her breath back, she asked, "what are you talking about Malfoy?"

He smirked at her, "Only, I could have sworn you told your brother you were happy for Potter, when we all know, you aren't."

She glared at him.

"And you also said that he wouldn't want to see me in pain, which is a lie," he continued.

Ginny continued to glare.

"So why did you lie Weasley?" he asked.

"Because us humans aren't constantly trying to hurt each other's feelings," she replied.

"What a pathetic answer," he sneered. "Ah, Blaise, so nice to see you."

"What the -- " Ginny began, but she was cut off by a girl who had just entered the room.

"Draco, I have your homework, and it really is terrible to see you so hurt," Blaise cooed. She was very pretty, with long black hair, and dark brown eyes.

Draco snorted. "You weren't feeling that sympathetic when you put that severing curse on me."

"Well, you certainly deserved it, and besides, I was only practicing for Pansy," she smiled, and a very evil smile it was.

"If you don't start getting along with Pansy, and Millicent, and all the other Slytherin girls, we may have to evict you and send you to Ravenclaw, and you certainly would fit in there," Draco retorted.

"Speaking of Pansy," Blaise said, "she asked me to give you this." She leaned over and kissed Draco lightly on the lips.

Draco smirked. "I'm glad it was you and not Pansy who delivered that, er, would you call it a get well soon present?"

Blaise shrugged. "But I'd better get going," she said. "I'm meeting Terry Boot in the astronomy tower. Yes, Terry Boot from Ravenclaw."

Draco raised his eyebrow. "You're meeting him in the astronomy tower this early?"

Blaise shook her head. "First I have a few, ah, things to do... Just the usual, pull Pansy's hair out, strand by strand, using my bare hands... Rip Millicent's nails off her big fat fingers... Perhaps torture Morag's cat?"

Draco smirked. "Well have fun," he said, as she exited through the door.

Suddenly, Draco moved his attention to Ginny. He smiled politely. "Can I help you with something?" he asked.

Ginny looked down, she hadn't realized she'd been staring at him all the time Blaise was in the room.

Draco got up out of his bed and walked to Ginny's. "Will you still follow Potter around, even if he is with that Ravenclaw girl?"

"Leave me alone Malfoy."

"Answer the question."

"No"

"Are you answering the question, or protesting?"

"Both."

"So you'll stop following Potter around?"

"Yes. Will you leave me alone?"

"Good. He's not good enough for you. Even if you are a Weasley."

Maybe having Malfoy for company wouldn't be so terrible after all...
