Chapter 7

Epilogue

It was a beautiful Wednesday morning and although the sun had risen a couple of hours ago, it felt as if the day had just begun. The sun was filtering into the cosy room through a small gap between the curtains. Hermione slowly opened one eye when she felt the sun's warmth on her cheek. For a moment she forgot where she was. She felt a slight weight pressing down on her, and when she saw Harry bending slightly over her to reach his watch that was on her bedstand, she remembered the events of the previous evening. He felt her wake up and looked down at her with a goofy smile. She laughed and kissed him passionately for quite a while.

"Now tell me... how did my watch get on your bedstand, love?" Harry asked, fastening the clasp of his watch.

"Hmm...I think you know... or don't you remember? Do you want me to refresh your memory a bit?" Hermione said teasingly, flashing him an evil grin.

Harry and Hermione have been living together for the last 6 years and they've never been happier. Ron and Julia have been married for 5 years and have a lovely daughter, aged 4 and a half, named Jessie. Ron and Julia had come back from Christmas Break with the good news that Julia was pregnant. Harry and Hermione were surprised at first but were very happy for them. Julia had given birth right after graduation and they had married shortly after that. Harry and Hermione are both Aurors and love their work. Ron is a professional Quidditch player for the Chudley Cannons and Julia teaches Herbology at Hogwarts while Jessie mills around the school grounds with her best friend, Dobby.

Harry kissed Hermione passionately and she ran her fingers through his hair. Harry's hand traveled down to her navel and crept slowly up again, taking Hermione's breath away at the wonderful things he did with her body. Hermione started to moan but realization soon dawned upon her and she pulled away sharply. Harry looked at her with a face that said, "And now?" and gave her a full blast of his puppy-dog eyes. She looked into his eyes and smiled.

"Harry, we have to go to work."

"Why?" His voice was very whiny and he sounded exactly like a 3-year old.

Although Harry had defeated Voldemort 3 years ago, evil still lurked around most of the corners. Hermione laughed and Harry looked at her with lust-filled eyes.

"What about a shower?" he asked.

"Sure!"

After about 20 minutes, Hermione was zipping up her skirt at the back. She turned around to get her earrings when she saw that Harry was standing on one knee in front of her. She gasped slightly, bringing her hands to her mouth quickly.

"Hermione, my baby... will you marry me?" Harry asked and presented a beautiful white gold ring with a huge cluster of diamonds on the top. A tear rolled down one of her cheeks.

"Yes!" she said, practically jumping up and down from excitement. Harry slipped the ring on her finger and stood up. He looked at her for a while and then kissed her with such love that her knees almost gave in. When they pulled apart, they looked into each other's eyes and she hugged him tightly.

And they lived happily ever after!!
