Chapter 8: "It's like I just kissed my Prince or something..."

"You what!? Oh my gosh, no way. You and him, you guys kissed! This is the coolest thing ever!" Ginny gasped excitedly.

"It's really no big deal," Hermione replied modestly.

"Oh, yes it is! My jack of a brother kissed one of my best friends! What are you talking about Herm. this is HUGE!"

"It's not huge," Ron said turning red.

"I KNEW IT!" Constance cheered, she was sitting next to Harry.

"Hey, I was the one who gave them the idea, remember on the train."

"But, I was the one who gave you the idea, remember on the train."

"But, I said it verbally to them."

"Well, how do you know?"

"Because I have a very good memory."

"I don't remember getting that out of your memory."

"Because you... have a bad memory since you're downloading them into your on memory."

"I don't download I just get flashes for a second or two that's all. I can do it to myself if you want me to."

"No," Harry said shortly.

"Ok, I guess we'll never know."

"But, I do know."

"No, you don't."

"Yes, I do."

"No."

"Yes."

"GUYS, would you stop already? You forgot the matter at hand," Ginny snapped. She was sitting opposite Neville who was sitting next to Harry.

"Gin, don't be such a poodle," Constance said defensively.

"Don't you Gin me, Constant."

"MEOW, cat fight!" Ron laughed.

"Shut up ,Ron," Hermione said squeezing his hand tighter making it a bright red color.

"Ow! Ok, ok, just don't amputate my hand."

"Ok." Hermione loosened her grip.

"Anyways, this is great! I'm so happy for you guys!" Constance said reaching across the table with Hermione meeting her in the middle they hugged.

"Thanks."

"Guess what else is happening today?" Ginny said excitedly.

"What ,Gin?" Ron asked sarcastically.

"The results."

"No way, you mean to see if we made the talent show?" Harry jumped up in his seat with excitement.

"Yeah, I wonder if you made it Harry with your stand-up."

"Stand-up, but I thought you did-" Constance's mouth was soon covered with Harry's hand.

"Yeah, me ,too," Harry said grinning as wide as possible. "Excuse us, please." Harry dragged Constance out of the Great Hall.

"You're not supposed to mention that ok."

"But you're terribly gifted in-"

"No, don't even say it ok." Harry had covered up her mouth again. "I'm letting go now, ok, ok."

Taking a deep breath she backed away from Harry. "But, if you make it, they'll know then."

"I'm not going to make it."

"Yes you are, do you know how great that was?"

"They can wait if I do ok. Promise you won't tell anyone?"

"Promise. But, Harry, why don't you want them to know and you only told me?"

"I think this is something I've kept to myself for a long time, and you I don't know, I just did ok."

"Ok, so... who do you think will make it?"

"You, that's for sure."

"Oh thank you, I know I rocked!" They laughed, Constance was doing her prep imitation.

"And Hermione would of if she hadn't missed the try-outs," Harry said smiling.

"Ha, isn't that right. Hermione told me last night. I was supposed to act all surprised."

"Well, you're quite the actress then aren't you?"

"I guess so," she said proudly, then started giggling.

"We better get back, ow!" Harry tripped over his robes, something feel out, oh sheit!! Harry reached for it franticly, hoping Constance hadn't seen it.

"Harry, what's that?" Harry stood up wiping off his robes.

"Oh, just, a quill. An ordinary quill that's all," Harry said, quickly dusting it off with his hand and putting it in his pocket.

"I wish I wasn't so forgetful, I lost my favorite quill. You know that one with my name on it. Doesn't that suck?"

"Yeah, big. Let's go back into the Great Hall, they'll probably think we got lost or something."

"Right out side the hall?"

"You never know." Constance smiled at Harry, he had changed some this year just from being around her.

"Come on, hair, let's go."

"Would you stop calling me hair? I'm not on top on your head."

No ,but you the only thing on my mind. "Right," Constance grinned.

"Class is dismissed, before you all go rushing out though. Let me remind you the results are posted... now," Professor McGonagall dismissed the class smiling pleasantly.

"Come on, let's go see if you guys made it," Hermione said taking Ron's hand in hers.

"I still want to know how you guys kissed," Constance wrenched making the couple turn red.

"Fine, Ron was seeming rather upset ,so I went out to comfort him."

"Comfort me she did." Ron grinned widely.

"Shut up ,Ron. Anyways, after about an hour of talking he was finally ok."

"I said thanks ,but then, it just seemed so perfect, I took her face in my hands and simply kissed her."

"It felt like I was kissing my Prince," Hermione sighed nuzzling her head that against Ron's shoulder.

"Awe.... that's so... sweet!" Constance squealed.

"I think I have something in my eye, oh I do, an eyelash," Harry joked.

"Shut up , Harry. That's truly very romantic."

"It's like Romeo and Juliet, but look on the bright side you didn't die."

"Harry, honestly."

"I'm just saying," Harry shrugged.

"Come on Harry, the romance of it all IS the bright side."

"Not dieing isn't the bright side?"

"Yes, I mean no, stop it Harry you're confusing me."

"Whatever, anyways, we were wondering... Harry what you do for the try-outs?

"Nothing that you'd be interested in ,Ron."

"Well, lets go see if you guys made it or not."

"Ok, race you Harry," Constance teased.

"You're on."

"On your mark."

"Get set-"

"Go." They started running, but Constance stopped called her broom and jumped on.

" HEY! That's cheating!"

"Want a ride whinny?" Hermione and Ron had been walking slower then them and they were way behind, they didn't care though.

"Fine." Constance lowered her broom and Harry jumped on. "Nice ride you've got here."

"Thanks, hold on."

"Come on, I'm the seeker for heavens sake, you couldn't possibly go fast enough to where I needed to hold on unless I was driving."

"Ok, but remember I warned you." WHOOSH, off they went at the speed of light, almost, but they were going really fast! Harry hung on to Constance's waist for dear life.

"There's the results, slow down!"

"Ok," she yelled back over her shoulder. The broom came to a slick stop, they toppled off the broom.

"I said to slow down, not stop," Harry laughed while searching for his glasses.

"What can I say, the broom has a bit of an non- functioning function.," Constance said with amusement sitting up cleaning her robes off.

"Aha! I found you! You thought you could hide from Harry Potter ,but you were wrong my friend, so very wrong."

"Harry, who are you talking to?"

"My glasses, of course." Constance fell back over laughing. "What?" Harry asked with laughter in his eyes. He stood up and shook himself off. "Madam," he said offering her his hands.

"Sir, how pleasantly gentlemanlike you are," Constance smiled and took his hands, and he pulled her up. Their faces were so close, it was a shortest distance then they ever had been before.

"So," Harry said not moving his position, "where to madam?"

"Hey Potter! What are you doing?" Constance bit her lip at the sound of Malfoy's voice.

"Nothing you should bother with," Harry said through gritted teeth.

"You're not assaulting anyone are you?"

"No , Malfoy."

"Oh, were you in the middle of something?"

"Actually, Malfoy, I sort of was," Harry said fake smiling while facing him.

"Ha! You really had me going there ,Potter."

"Come on, Constance, let's go see if one of use made it."

"Ok, but can I do something first?" Constance whispered in Harry's ear.

"Sure," Harry shrugged. With a mumble of words, Constance list a spark of a flame on a laughing Malfoy's robes.

"Bye, Malfoy," Constance sang.

"Bye." Harry and Constance started laughing right when they got out of earshot of Malfoy.

"You daze him."

"What can I say, I have the touch."

"Hey, look, there they are." A piece of parchment hung on the wall with students hung around it either sighing or cheering.

"Congratulations!" A Hufflepuff they doubled with shook Harry's hand.

"What? NO! I..." Harry read the list, Potter, Harry, "Oh crap."

"I told you you would make it."

"Hey you're on here to!"

"WHAT!" She shrieked like a banshee, then she read , Miller, Constance "No way, no, oh my gosh, I made it!"

"You made it!"

"We made it!" She hugged Harry. "Oh my gosh, this is wonderful!"

"Let's go tell Ron and Hermione, where are they?"

"They fell behind earlier, I think they wanted us to go ahead. That reminds me where's my broom?"

"Oh no, we left it back there."

"Crap, now I have to call it all over again." Again, she called her broom. "There you are, now you're safe and sound with...ahem sorry." A silence was held ,but a moment then they both started cracking up.

"I think we laugh too much."

"I think we have a problem."

"Ok, on three will put on a poker face, one-"

"two-"

"three." They breathed in deeply and tried, the key word, tried to be serious. Harry tried to stop smiling, but they both ended up laughing again.

"Come on let's go find them."

"Ok," Constance wheezed.

"You know we're not supposed to be flying right now."

"Am I hearing what I just thought I heard? Harry Potter scared of a detention?"

"No, I'm not scared."

"Don't deny, if you are we can just get off this broom and I can send it back to my dorm. Now do you want that?"

"No."

"Well, to bad, I feel like walking and this is my broom," she teased.

"Well, I feel like walking to so, fine."

"Fine." Silence.... laughing. Constance mumbled something, and sent her broom flying back to her to where she slept.

"Well... now what?"

"We walk."

"We walk!"

"We walk."

"Oh, we walk."

"Yeah, we walk."

"Got yah, we walk, we walk , and we walk."

"Shut up, Harry."

Chapter 9: Heaven or Torture

"There's the snitch, he inches closer and closer, and there's Malfoy right behind him. Come on Harry, you can do it, grab the snitch," Lee Jordan cheered. "Oh no, a beater just hit Potter right upside the head, dirty Slytherin you-"

"Jordan."

"Sorry Professor, and Harry is fairly hit by a beater. He sees it, he's off again, Malfoy is just got what he deserved a nice hit in his thick head of his-"

"JORDAN!"

"Sorry Professor, Malfoy is hit by a beater. 10 points for Gryffindor, nice block by Constance. Ouch, that's got to hurt, Katie is hit by a beater, we all know Fred or George will beat the sh-"

"JORDAN DO YOU WANT ME TO DO THE COMMENTARY?"

"Yes, Professor, I mean no ma'am. Harry pulls up, higher, and higher, he's got it! HE'S GOT THE GOLDEN SNITCH! Ending the game and making Gryffindor the winner of the game." Harry held his hand up in triumph as he dove down to meet the crowd beneath him.

"We won! WE WON! How's that you dirty rotten Slytherin trash!"

"Katie?"

"Yes?"

"Ok..."

"WE WON!! Oliver will be so proud! He was always dying for this! We've got it in the bag for sure!" Angelina cheered. Fred and George started doing they're new victory dance. Harry could never have been happier, it was a week until the talent show, and they were in the lead for the Qudditch Cup and the House Cup. He couldn't believe how great this year was coming along. His life had never been so fairy-tale like ever before. After the day's festivities, the party back in the common room, Harry laid down looking at the ceiling and almost immediately fell asleep.

In the morning, a small tap on his shoulder waked Harry up:

"What?"

"Get up you lazy bum," a whisper in his ear told him.

"Why? It's too early."

"Not for practice," the whispering girl told him.

"Fine, fine, you win Constance, I'm up."

"Good, now hurry and get dressed. McGonagall will kill up if we're late again."

"It's not my fault we were late last time," Harry said sitting up smiling teasingly.

"Shut up," Constance said punching Harry playfully in the arm.

"What it was you who made us late," Harry said amused.

"Well, I had help. Like I could turn all of Snape's hair into snakes by myself."

"I just held the door remember."

"Whatever, come on." She left the room letting Harry hurriedly get dressed.

"Ok, ready."

"Good, let's go." Constance grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the common room to Professor McGonagall's classroom.

"It's about time you two got here, your guitar is over there," McGonagall pointed towards a shelf, "and expect you can find the piano." Harry rushed to grab the guitar and a chair and Constance to her piano. "Ok, you know what to do, start from the beginning until I stop you."

Constance started with the piano, "How can life be so perfect? Getting everything I wish for except what I wish for every night, you." Harry joined in with his guitar, softly then louder and louder Constance singing her heart out all the while. "How can you say love never happened, when it's going on here and now."

"Don't you get it, you're not alone. I know what you mean about love, my heart was broken a long time ago. That girl was so fine but I wasn't really into her mind. She seemed so right for me, but she couldn't make me laugh like you do. How can you say love never happened, when it's going on here and now," Harry sang smiling, a glint of light in his brilliant, green eyes. They were singing a duet for the talent show. Some how Professor just saw it as working perfectly, and it did. Constance had written the duet herself, music and all.

"Here and now, here and now, here and.....ooooh," they crooned in perfect unison. Harry's finished his last strings leaving the Constance and her piano.

"How can life be so perfect? Getting everything I wish for except, you..."

"You didn't stop us?" Harry looked away from his hands.

"No," McGonagall said grinning widely. "It was perfect."

"Thanks."

"Yes, very well then, I guess I could give you a break for the day. One thing of advice though, don't freak this week ok. You must be calm or else you won't be perfect."

"Ok, can we go now?"

"Yes."

"Thank you," they both said putting up Harry's things and leaving.

"Can you believe it?" Constance asked ecstatically.

"Not really, I never knew McGonagall could grin. I've seen her smile but grin and that wide? My lord!"

"Harry," she tisked.

"Yes, I can believe it, you're the one who's done everything possible to make us what we are."

"Harry, come on. I never would have been able to do this stuff without help!"

"As little as mine was."

"You have to give yourself more credit, if you hadn't told me for some weird reason that you played the guitar I could never have been in the show on my own."

"Yeah right."

"Harry..."

"Fine, I helped ok."

"At least you're giving yourself some credit."

"Come on, you wrote the song and the notes."

"Only the for the piano, you wrote your own and you edited the words so it could be duet."

"Fine," Harry groaned.

"Ok, now, can we go-"

"There you two are, what are you doing here?" Ron said listlessly.

"Er... nothing," Constance lied.

"Oh well, come on, I need help beating up Malfoy."

"How come?" Harry asked though not reluctant to help Ron for whatever reason it was.

"He made Ginny cry."

"What?!" Harry wasn't going out with her anymore ,but he still cared about her in a friend to friend way.

"Yeah!"

"How, what, when, where?"

"They got in a bit of a fight and he slapped her! Come on, let's not waste time."

"Ok, coming." The trio ran down the corridor to where in front of the Great Hall was a big lump on the floor crying.

"Go on, cry like the worthless brat you are," Malfoy screeched while laughing.

"Come off it Malfoy," Harry yelled at him.

"Oh, so the Potter boy is coming to save you isn't he, just like he did Tom Riddle. I bet he thinks you can't take care of yourself because you're a worthless traitor-blood."

"She is not worthless!" Constance screamed, darting towards Malfoy faster then Ron and Harry, " You're the one who's worthless here Draco!"

"Oh, now, Potter has to be protected too. And what's this, by a girl?"

"Come off it Draco." Malfoy raised his wand fixing it on Constance. "STUBEFY!" she yelled at the top of her lungs. Malfoy froze on the spot. "ACCIO WAND!" Malfoy's wand flew out of his hand into hers. Malfoy's eyes went wild, he never been beaten at his own game. "Draco, you really should watch what you say." Taking his wand she broke in in half. Malfoy's cruse was getting weaker, he could move his mouth and a few toes and fingers.

"Dirty Gryffindor blood-traitor!"

"I AM NOT A BLOOD-TRAITOR!"

"You know what I mean then."

"SHUT UP DRACO! STUBEFY!"

"What's going on here? What is Mr. Malfoy doing in a bind? Who did this?" Snape asked looking around as in hoping it was Harry, everyone was silent. "Tell me or you'll all have detentions for the rest of the week."

"I did ,sir," Constance stepped forward expressionless.

"Very well then, fifty points from Gryffindor." Constance looked down at her feet where Malfoy's wand lay slowly it came back together.

"Here's your wand, Draco," Constance said coldly. Malfoy gave her a dirty look.

"Now off with you before you hurt anyone else," Snape hissed.

"Yes, Professor," Constance said meekly backing away.

"Stop staring go!" They crowd scuttled into the Great Hall. Constance cursed under her breath. The rest of the week was long and full of excitement, most of the teachers seemed in a better mood ,but Snape , as usual, loaded them down with homework. The night had come the night for the talent show.

"Oh god, I can't do this," Constance said looking rather sick.

"Calm down, we're going to do great," Harry said massaging her shoulders to loosen her up.

"But, the last act, come on that's a big part."

"We're going to do fine ok."

"I guess." Constance had her hair in a million braids, no make up, and black pants, white shirt, with a sparkly over coat thing that reached to her ankles.

"Are you ready? We're going to be on soon."

"Gosh no."

" Just breathe, remember, just breathe in and out and you'll see that there's a rainbow in your mists?"

"That song gets on my nerves."

"Constance, you have to calm down."

"Ok, ok, poker face. I'm calm."

"Harry, Constance you're on!" Fred and George called.

"I'm not calm, I can't do this Harry. I'm not great, I'll end up blowing up the piano. I can't do this."

"Yes you can," he said, standing on his knees in front of her, "you have friends who believe in you, I believe in you."

"Really?"

"Yes," Harry said a playful smile in his eyes.

"COME ON, your on."

"Ok, I'll do it but-"

"No buts ok."

"Fine."

"Lady's and gents, please welcome our final act: Harry Potter and Constance Miller in a duet they call, Wishes." Harry and Constance had already seated themselves, the Great Hall had been turned into an auditorium , and the curtain came up. There were whistles and shouts "GO HARRY!" "CONSTANCE ALL THE WAY!!" Constance stared at her piano keys, then something clicked, the moment seemed perfect, and she started to play.

"How can life be so perfect? Getting everything I wish for except what I wish for every night, you." Her heart pounded harder and harder, but her voice rang out angelically "How can you say love never happened, when it's going on here and now." Harry's guitar joined in

"Don't you get it, you're not alone. I know what you mean about love, my heart was broken a long time ago. That girl was so fine but I wasn't really into her mind. She seemed so right for me, but she couldn't make me laugh like you do. How can you say love never happened, when it's going on here and now," Harry sang smiling, staring over at Constance.

"I said I've loved for long ,long time, how can you say this isn't love when I feels so right." They started soft but got louder and louder until the unison came as soft as a rose petal:

"Here and now, here and now, here and.....ooooh," they sang in unison.

"How can life be so perfect? Getting everything I wish for except, you..." Constance finished smoothly with her piano. Silence fell, Oh no we did awful, they hate us. Then the crowd erupted in cheers, everyone stood up, even the Slytherins. Constance's eyes looked as if they were going to fall out of her head. Not paying attention to what her hands were doing she vanished. "CRUMBLES!" she bellowed, the hall froze in the still breathing kind of since.

"Constance? Oh gosh, Constance come on," Harry called.

"I'm fine, right here, sorry about that," Constance said reappearing. Everyone stared at her in aw except Harry, Ron, and Hermione, they had seen her do this before. "Sor-ry," Constance said looking as if she would burst into tears. No one could comprehend what this girl just did since Dumbledore wasn't there to cut into the silence, he had to take a quick bathroom break. She disappeared again, this time she had Apparated.

"Constance! CONSTANCE!" Harry shouted as if she could hear him. Putting down his guitar he ran out of the Great Hall. "Where are they going?" He heard a voice saying as he ran. Ron and Hermione ran after him, but he lost them . "Ok," Harry gasped for air, he finally had stopped to catch his breath.

"Young Mr. Potter? What are you doing here?" It was Nearly Headless Nick.

"I'm," Harry panted, "looking for Constance. Have you seen her?"

"Oh, the young lady with the beautiful voice?"

"Yes! Where is she? Which way did she go?"

"I'm sorry Harry but I haven't seen her since she did her disappearing act." Harry cursed and started running , he didn't know where he was going but he'd find out when he got there.

"Oh, no it's going to happen," Hermione cried.

"What is?" Ron asked dumbly.

"Oh, god no!"

Harry slammed open the door, where was he, how long had he ran? "Constance! I know you're in here!"

"How can you be so sure of yourself all the time?" Her voice echoed through the corridor.

"Where are you?"

"In here of course, what do you want? Why don't you go find some girl to comfort you?" Where the crap did that come from?

"What are you talking about?"

"Never mind. Why did you come after me? "

"Why did you run?"

"Did you see the way they looked at me?"

"Yeah, like you're the best singer they have ever heard, so?"

"Ha! They looked at me like I was some freak show."

"What?"

"Some people's eyes were almost falling out of their head. The Slytherins are going to have a hay-day with this one."

"Who cares what the Slytherin think?"

"What do you want? Why are you here?"

"You ran so I chased, is that such a crime."

"You have to have a reason to chase after me. So what is it?" That had Harry stumped, she was his friend? No there was something else, it wasn't - oh my gosh, I do! "So?" Constance stepped out of her hiding place. Harry turned around , there she was just a foot away from him. It was time:

"I think I'm in love with you."

"WHAT!"

"I think I'm in love with you."

"No, you... but... she can't be right."

"What's wrong?"

"But.. but-" She stepped closer to him a kissed him, "NO!" She backed away quivering, touching her lips with her hand. She was crying. He stood there, eyes closed, how could she have done this to him. "I'm sorry."

"For what? That was perfect." She shook her head, poor Harry.

"I wish you hadn't had the courage! Why! Why!" She screamed building to the top of her lungs.

"Constance, it's ok, we're fine."

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." With a flick of her wrist, he flew against the wall knocking him unconscious. She bent down over him, kissing him one more time, she snapped her fingers and she was gone.

Chapter 10: Daddy's Little Girl

"Harry, are you ok mate?" Ron said, pulling Harry to his feet.

"What happened? Where is she?"

"Who?"

"Constance, she...I, she's gone?"

"You were some how knocked unconscious, Constance is gone, and god forbid, did you kiss her?" Hermione said putting his other arm around her back.

"Yes, what's wrong with that?"

"Did I ever tell you what her real last name is?"

"No-"

"It's...Riddle. I'm sorry Harry, I would have told you soon ,but if she had made it into Gryffindor I didn't think she would do this. I'm sorry."

"By choice, she chose her house by choice. That's why she got in- no! How could I be such a fool! That's why, she said that- oh my gosh, I have to find her."

"Harry, she's gone."

"No she's not."

"What?"

"She's still here, she's waiting."

"For what?"

"She's the daughter of Voldemort, who else do you think she's going to let in? Why do you think she knocked me out after she kissed me? Why else would she some how just knocked into me in Diagon Alley? Why else can she do things some wizards can't?" Harry started marching to the dungeons.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see."

"Harry," Hermione asked timidly they had been walking for the past 10 minutes.

"Yes," Harry said crossly.

"Where are we?"

"Don't you see it?"

"See what?"

"Isn't that the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets?"

" I thought Dumbledore destroyed that?"

"No."

"What makes you think she's in there?"

"Never mind that, just follow me ok?"

"Fine."

"Constance? Are you in here?" Harry called, they were now in the chamber.

"Harry?" A voice said high with fright. "You're not supposed to be here. Get out of here, now!"

"Constance, what's going on? What are you doing in here?"

"Go, I'm warning you, you're putting yourself in danger."

"Constance, what are you talking about?"

"Harry Potter?" A high, luminous, scratchy voice. A tall, skinny figure was hidden in the shadows with its red eyes gleaming. "The-boy-who-almost-defeated-Lord-Voldemort Potter? What a pleasant surprise to have you here! Constance has told me so much about you."

"I... I..," Constance stuttered, her eyes staring into his apologetically.

"Constance?" Harry's eyes looked confused and disbelieving.

"You were right, my last name isn't Miller, it's Riddle. My mother is in Azkaban and my- father is Vol-"

"-demort. You're his daughter, you were using me all along? You never even as much as liked me. There I was falling so hard for you when all the time you were plotting against me. You-"

"You weren't supposed to fall in love with me! You were supposed to be as god awful as my dad made you out to be! He never told me you'd be this wonderful! Harry, I'm sorry."

"Sorry! SORRY!"

"Don't you yell at my daughter!" Voldemort said coming out of the shadows.

"Daddy, don't!" Tears started rolling down Constance's cheek.

"Why not?"

"I LOVE HIM!"

"Love him, HIM, the one meant to defeat your father? Have you gone mad child?"

"No, Daddy, I haven't gone mad! I'm 15 years old and I'm sick of you treating as if I'm a child. I know too much for my age, you're driving me to a breakdown Dad!"

"YOU IDIOT, YOU IN LOVE WITH THE ENEMY!!"

"YOU'RE MUGGLE BORN AND YOU'RE KILLING YOUR FAMILY! YOU'RE OLD FRIENDS! WHY DO YOU WANT THEM ALL DEAD? WHAT DID THEY EVER DO TO YOU?"

"DON'T YOU YELL AT ME YOU BRAT!" Voldemort slapped Constance, she fell to the floor. "NOW IT'S TIME TO BE THROUGH WITH YOU! AVADA-" Voldemort said fiercely pointing his wand at Harry.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!" Another voice screamed. Voldemort froze and fell over. There she was, Constance, sitting up both hands pointing to where her father had been standing. She was shaking and crying at the same time.

"I thought that didn't work on him?" Hermione couldn't resist asking.

"I- I," Constance said looking at her hands. She put her head in her hands, "No, NO!" Constance looked up at him, "My eyes aren't amber."

"What?" Constance started messing with her eyes.

"Contacts," Constance said looking up at Harry, her eyes were a piercing red color.

"You're eyes-" Ron stuttered backing away.

"I'm sorry Harry," Constance stood up. "Avada-"

"HARRY GET UP! We're going to be late!" Harry's eyes fluttered open, he was in his dormitory room.

"I-it- but," Harry said sitting up strait in his bed. "Where, am I?

"Don't be stupid, come on. We have a D.A. meeting this morning remember?"

"Yeah, right," Harry's eyes ran wildly around the room.

"Come on then, you know Umbridge has been on to us, we have to get going."

"Yeah, right." Harry got up and dressed.
