While I wish I had written it, because it's an awesome song, the lyrics of "Far Longer Than Forever" belong to the writers of the movie, "The Swan Princess"

Lucius Malfoy stared out the window of his Azkaban prison cell. He couldn't believe that all of his escape attempts had failed. Most of his fellow Death Eaters had escaped. Lucius knew that he was expendable to the Dark Lord, and he could not count on his master to save him. As Lucius rested his arms on the windowsill, the light of the moon glanced off a ring on his finger. Lucius looked at the ring and smiled. It was his wedding band. His thoughts flew to Narcissa.

Far longer than forever

I'll hold you in my heart

It's almost like you're here with me

Although we're far apart

In the Malfoy Mansion, Narcissa was thinking about Lucius in return. She twisted her wedding band around her finger as she stared at the stars, remembering how much their relationship had changed over the years. Their marriage had been arranged, just like all Malfoy marriages are, when Narcissa was 5 years old. Until she went to Hogwarts, she had never met Lucius, whose family was much richer and well-off than hers. Everything changed the day he saved her life. She closed her eyes, remembering the feel of his arms around her as he caught her out of the air, her broomstick soaring away from them. She could almost feel him behind her: until she opened her eyes.

Far longer than forever

As constant as a star

I close my eyes

And I am where you are

Everything had changed for Lucius the day he saved Narcissa. She was gorgeous, but he'd had no idea who she was. Since he was a Malfoy, he had to keep up with the name, cold and ungracious. He'd unceremoniously dumped Narcissa off of his broom when they were close enough to the ground and flew off without saying anything, though he missed the feeling of her warmth against his chest. Narcissa's feelings had been hurt, and she had ignored him since. Neither was too pleased when they discovered their betrothal, and it was with great reluctance that Lucius placed the ring on her finger at their wedding.

Lucius was brought back into the present by the clanging of a cell door. He saw the sun begin to rise and remembered the morning he had realized he loved Narcissa. The day she went into labor with Draco, all he could hear was her screams. They chased him through the corriders of his home, echoed throughout the grounds, banging around in his head as he gulped shot after shot of Firewhiskey. When Narcissa had finally stopped screaming Lucius had thought she was dead, and raced to her bedroom in time to see the nurse place a small bundle in the silver cradle. Narcissa had given him a boy, but it had cost her a lot of blood. For three days she lay unmoving, and if she had died Lucius never would have forgiven himself. The first thing he told her when she woke, with the sun rising in the sky, was that he loved her. They had been practically inseperable since. They became Death Eaters together, though Narcissa was rarely asked to serve her master. Their bond was undestroyable

Sure as the dawn brings the sunrise

We've an unshakable bond

Destinied to last for a lifetime and beyond

Lucius and Narcissa both knew that he would die if caught. Now he had been. Narcissa looked deep in her heart, and knew she could never love anyone else. She would never betray Lucius.

Far longer than forever

I swear that I'll be true

I've made an everlasting vow

To find a way to you

Lucius turned as the door to his cell opened and two Dementors came in. One grabbed him, the other lowered it's hood. Lucius looked out the window at the sun one last time. Narcissa, I will always love her, he thought as the second Dementor grabbed his face and pulled it away from the light. Lucius braced himself as the face came closer and closer. Finally, he knew no more. Suddenly, the Dementor drew back. A bright pink light had risen from Lucius Malfoy's empty body. It hovered by the ceiling for a moment, then flew out the window.

Far longer than forever

Like no love's ever known

And with your love I'll never be alone

Narcissa felt all of the light go out of her at once. She knew he was gone. She buried her head in her arms and sobbed. Suddenly, she felt warm arms lifting her to her feet. Looking up, she saw a bright pink cloud in front of her. The cloud extended thin pieces of itself that wrapped themselves around her in a warm embrace. She heard it whisper her name, and when it let go she discovered it had Lucius' face. The face smiled at her, and then disappeared.

Far longer than forever

Much stronger than forever

And with love I'll never be alone

"Mother?" came a voice from the door. Narcissa turned to face Draco, who was looking at her with a questioning look on his face. As Narcissa watched in bewilderment, the pink cloud reappeared above Draco, slowly circling. Narcissa realized that as long as she had Draco, she knew she would always have Lucius. She smiled and pulled her son into a hug. Somewhere above them, Lucius looked down and smiled.
