Snape stared at the assorted seventh year Slytherins and Gryffindors. Then he looked at the letter. "I have urgent business to attend to, but when I return I want to know who wrote," he paused for effect, "this filth. If no one confesses, then you will all be in serious trouble." Then he swept out of his Potions classroom, leaving the letter on his desk.

Pansy got up and walked to the front of the class, snatching the letter from the desk. A smile began to creep up on the left side of her mouth. "About last night, it meant so much to me. I never imagined that making love could be so beautiful," Pansy smirked. "Oh dear, maybe I shouldn't have read that out to everyone? My mistake." Her eyes fell on Crabbe.

"What are you looking at me for?"

"No reason, I just thought you might have dropped it on your way to see Hermione last night."

Crabbe scraped his chair back from the desk and Hermione looked up in horror.

"She was just helping me with Charms. Flitwick asked her to tutor me and I asked her not to say anything."

Harry and Ron stared at Hermione waiting for her to laugh off the claim. She didn't.

"Was she tutoring you in Charms or were you charming her with a different kind of magic?" Asked Pansy mischievously.

Hermione started to get annoyed. "Stop it Pansy, just sit down."

"I see that I've rattled some nerves," Pansy replied grinning.

Draco laughed. "Nice one, Crabbe," he winked.

"Draco," said Pansy quietly, "how did Quidditch practice go last night?"

Harry looked at Draco. "There was no Quidditch practice last night."

"But then where did Draco go?" Pansy asked innocently.

"Pansy you know I didn't write that letter. I'm not a you know what."

"Writer?" Pansy laughed. "The question remains, where did Mr. Malfoy wander off to last night?"

"He needed help with Transfiguration."

Draco shot Hermione an annoyed look.

"Busy girl, Hermione," laughed Pansy, "I hope you are getting something in return!"

"Grow up. It's not what you think."

"Just leave her alone," Harry glared at Pansy.

"So, does the famous Harry Potter have anything he wants to share with the class?"

"Apart from my on-going dislike of you, I can't think of anything."

"Oh, no! You've hurt my feelings," said Pansy with a look of sadness, which quickly broke into a smile. "I'm all better now."

"You really are a piece of work."

"I'm a challenge, what can I say?" She scanned the class who were struggling not to meet her eyes. "Blaise, remember that hat you lent me? Well before I dared to wear it there was a rather unattractive blue flower pinned on it. I couldn't help but notice that Goyle sent his mother the same blue flowers after he was almost expelled. Now, either someone here shares Goyle's excellent taste in floral arrangements or the flower in your hat was the master work of Mr. Goyle himself."

Blaise blushed a deep shade of red. "That letter has nothing to do with me," she mumbled.

"Oh, sorry! It was an easy mistake to make." Pansy turned her attention to Harry. "I would suspect you, honestly I would, only I think you're too pathetic to even talk to a girl."

"I'm a girl!" Hermione argued.

"Oh yes. It's so easy to forget."

"Hang on a minute," said Harry, "Where were you last night, Pansy?"

Pansy looked startled but kept her composure. "I was on my own doing my Potions essay."

"No you weren't," Blaise piped up. "You asked to copy from mine this morning."

"I just wanted to compare them," she replied, a little flustered.

"It's your letter," said Hermione, suddenly.

"I didn't write it."

"Then who did?" asked Blaise.

Pansy looked at Ron and the others followed her gaze. Hermione looked horrified.

"Stop playing games, Pansy," said Harry.

Ron didn't speak.

"Ron?" Harry nudged.

"Well, well, well, Weasley! Who would have thought it?" Draco smirked.

Hermione stood up and headed for the door. "I'm not staying here and getting into trouble with Snape when it is obvious who is responsible for the letter."

Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle quickly followed after her. Draco hovered in the doorway, "Pansy, you could do so much better," he grinned.

Harry looked at Ron . "Are you OK?" he asked.

"Just go. It's fine," Ron replied quietly. Harry gave one final glare at Pansy and left the room.

Pansy stood unsure at the front of the class, the letter still in her hand. Ron moved towards her and snatched the letter away. Taking a pen he scribbled 'But the kissing was even better' then he put the letter on Snape's desk. "Let him find that," he said as he took Pansy in his arms and kissed her. They left the room laughing, hand in hand.
