Trust and Betrayal: A Prequel

This is the Prequel to the Harry Potter Saga. The Prologue finds Albus Dumbledore at the end of a Very Long Day, just before Hagrid is scheduled to bring Harry to Privet Drive. Chapter One finds our main characters and a critical moment in their lives, where the events leading to Halloween night 1981 are propelled forward.

Three moments captured in time. Offers are made and considered.

O.W.L.s are approaching and students are frantic. Peter has a flair for the dramatic; a career opportunity for Lily as well as an unfortunate potions 'accident'.

Seeds of doubt are planted in Peter's mind; After O.W.L. exames, Lily is upset by the lake; and Severus gets an unexpected gift.

Lily has... second thoughts about James. Severus gets an invitation. Peter discovers something... useful... about Sirius.

It's a Hogsmeade Day. A lot of things happen.

Lily, Sirius and James face off on the Astronomy Tower; Peter has it both ways; and Severus is a guest at Malfoy Manor for the holidays.
