True Love at Hogwarts
By Star-Heart
"I'll never break your heart
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die, then live without you
I'll give you all of me
Honey that's no lie"
The lyrics of her and Harry's song flew through Ginny Weasley's head as she thought of her boyfriend. They had only been together for three months ever since the past summer before they returned to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry was now in his 6th Year and she was in her fifth, but she had loved him ever since she first laid eyes on him the year before she started at the school, when she had accompanied her mother to see her older brothers off on the Hogwarts Express.
She was very jealous of her brothers that day not only did they get to go away to school but they also got to go away with Harry Potter - the most famous boy in the wizarding world.
Ginny chuckled to herself as she remembered how normally because she moaned so much and made so much fuss about not being able to go her mother didn't allow her to see the boys off on the train. However, that day there hadn't been anyone for her to stay with so she'd had to go - she'd been excited at the prospect of seeing the Hogwarts Express and maybe being able to sneak in and start school a year early. Except then a dark haired boy with glasses and a lightening shaped scar had come up asking how to get on the platform and the world had stopped spinning for a split second.
From that day on, she had had her first crush - she had fallen for The Boy Who Lived.
She cringed inwardly when she realised how much like a star struck child she had acted around Harry to begin with. Actually, the same could be said for the first few years she had known him. However she had slowly fallen out of love with the boy who defeated He Must Not Be Named as a mere baby, became friends with Harry, Hermione Granger and with her brother Ron, and became an occasion part of the dream team. Then slowly, but surely as she got to know Harry Potter she fell in love all over again, not with a legend but the real boy behind the stories, the boy she had never known...
For a year after she had realised it she had kept in secret and not told a soul. However, when Hermione came to stay with the Weasley's for the summer she had managed to worm the information out of the younger girl she looked on as an honorary sister and with gentle encouragement had slowly managed to convince Ginny that she should act on her feelings and tell Harry.

She had been so nervous that night and so worried about being rejected, that he would laugh at her, that she was only "Ron's little sister" and that there was no way him, the greatest wizard she had ever met could ever love her - a poor little girl who had never achieved anything even slightly near the greatness he had. He had defeated the Dark Lord more times then she cared to remember and who had inadvertently and unwillingly won the Triwizard Tournament the year before. What had she done? Nothing. Who was she? Nobody. How could he like her? He just couldn't, she knew it. He would laugh at her and tell Ron and all the rest of her older brothers and everyone would laugh at her. It would be her first year all over again, but much worse!
Luckily Hermione wouldn't let her listen to any of the many doubts and had forced her out of the portrait hole and down to the lake where she had arranged to meet Harry.

She moved from her dormitory into the common room in Gryffindor Tower and sat by the tower's central fireplace. It was late and it was cold but she wanted to wait up for her lover and see him one more time before she retired for the night. Ginny shock herself, she knew it was stupid but she worried about him every minute when he wasn't with her - even, in these times of deep trouble in the wizarding world, when he was just elsewhere in their school.
She loved him and she didn't feel safe if she didn't tell him that at least five times a day if not more.
