Chapter Nine: Seamus + Cho

It was only a week after and Harry and Draco's small deal was only beginning to be put into effort. Seamus and Cho had finally gone public and with all the giggling girls of the Ravenclaw house and the pissed off girls and boys of all the other houses, everything was going just as planned. Even though, truthfully there wasn't a plan at all. Draco and Harry - so far the only thing they had been doing was glaring at the couple from afar. It was quite stupid, since a lot of other people were doing the exact same thing especially the girl called Lavender. Draco had gotten word that she was Seamus's last partner before he'd admitted his feelings for Cho and then cheated on her.

"Draco!"

"What the hell is he on?"

"His eyes are stuck narrowed."

"Who's he's possibly glaring at this time?"

Blaise and Goyle were both trying to get Draco's attention. Draco could hear them; he just didn't feel like answering them at the moment. His eyes were locked precisely on the target of his devastation. They were all at breakfast on a Saturday morning. There was chattering and a lot of giggling going on. It was nearing the end of it and the whole time - he was glaring towards Seamus who was smiling like he'd just shagged a goddess. Then the thought struck Draco like lightning. He could've shagged Cho and Draco wouldn't have ever known! He felt then an arm coming into his own arm, hurting him with a tight force.

"Damn it, Malfoy!"

He turned and found Blaise Zabini's dark eyes looming straight at him. "What are you staring at?" Blaise took a look around and then looked back at Draco, confusingly.

"Nothing," Draco replied.

"Must be something extraordinary."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because whilst you were staring off into wonderland, we ate your breakfast," Blaise laughed on. "Which was quite exquisite, by the way."

Goyle, Crabbe, and Blaise laughed on with each other as Draco looked down to his plate to find his breakfast eaten. He sighed and then set his fork down. Excusing himself from the table, he tidied his hand with his table towel and walked out of the Great Hall. Saturdays were free days and he felt like catching the chariots to Hogsmeade. He could still hear his three friends laughing behind him. Sighing them off, he walked down the corridor, walked up to his common room, grabbed his cloak and then headed to the Entrance Doors to go wait for the chariots to Hogsmeade.

Once he had gotten out there and fastened his cloak to his robes, he looked up and saw a striking beauty walking towards him. Cho's brown eyes were glistening as her bright white smile glittered at him. She was waving in her hand a notebook and to Draco's shock and pleasure, Seamus wasn't at her side. He smiled to her and waved slightly as she walked towards him. Her cheeks were glowing with an off sunset pick colour as she came to a halt just before him.

"Here, it's your notebook," she started. "I must have picked it up whilst we were studying and stuck it into my bag."

Draco took the notebook from Cho and smiled happily. "Thank you."

"Uh huh, anytime." Cho stopped for a moment and her eyes passed Draco to somewhere behind him. Draco turned around and saw a smiling sandy-haired Seamus waving at Cho. Inside himself, Draco could feel the flame of jealousy growing once again. Cho turned back to Draco as Draco turned back to her.

"You and Seamus?" Draco asked softly. "Since when?" He asked again trying not to sound too straightforward or too jealous or too surprised even.

"Curiosity, again?" Cho asked, sprouting a small smile. Draco smiled weakly, feeling that they were sharing a moment. "Seam is such a nice guy and he comforted me on that day...you know the letter and everything...that was the day...Ced...I mean Cedric first told me he loved me."

"How sweet," muttered Draco, applying no sense of tone for his voice whatsoever.

"I know. Don't have to sugarcoat it. I mean you're a Malfoy, I understand." Draco got suddenly enraged. What was this girl talking about? What gave her the right to even assume that, Draco thought.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked her, quite defensively.

"I'm only saying that you're a Malfoy, what's love with you anyway?" With that she turned away, making her way to get to Seamus. Draco turned around, his nostrils flaring. What was it in her that gave her to courage to speak to him, about him like that? He watched as Seamus pulled her into a soft embrace. He heard the soft pattering of horse hooves coming just behind him. Turning around, he came to find himself standing just before the eyes of Harry Potter. He glanced back behind him, watching Seamus and Cho getting into a chariot on their own. Already feeling quite nauseated, he turned back to face Harry. Just behind Harry, he noticed the boy's two friends, Ron and Hermione, holding hands as Ron lifted her into the chariot.

"Weasel and Mudblood finally together?" Draco asked as he crossed his arms. Harry rolled his eyes and then nodded with a short sigh.

A chariot pulled up beside them and Draco looked to it as an invisible hand opened the door for them both. Draco looked to Harry and then raised his eyebrows. He turned around to check if anyone was watching and then turned to look back at Harry. Harry had his arms crossed and a very bad-boy attitude on his face.

"Get in, we've got things to plan."

Draco looked at Harry, his eyebrows rising even higher. He waited no more time, given a smirk; he lifted himself into the chariot and sat himself down. He watched as Harry surveyed the surroundings, making sure that no one was watching. He then picked himself up and settled himself in the chariot on the seat just opposite of Draco.

"Plans, eh, Potter?"

"I'll do the talking," started Harry. "You just listen."

And that's exactly what Draco did.
