Author's Note:
Hey all you peeps in FA! Nice to meet everyone, even if I have been a member for a bit. Just haven’t posted anything on here since joining. Eheh...

So this is Grasping Saturn, the crossover I had written for www.fanfiction.net but wanted to get more opinions on. What better way to do so than to submit it to other forums and sites? I hope people enjoy this, it’s my first time writing for HP fiction. Not that I’m using it as an excuse or anything, but I hope to get some good constructive criticism on my portrayals of the HP characters as I’m still working on their personalities and characters.

Grasping Saturn, for the most part, is Hotaru-centered. There are quite a bit of BSSM (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon) references in here, but in the post-fic notes I added a Japanese Dictionary section as well as a Sailor Moon: The Ins and Outs section for references that might confuse non-SM fans.

That said, have fun reading!

[.....] Thoughts

The Revolution.

The joining of the three worlds: muggle, magical, and cosmic. The bringing together of all three under two powerful leaders.

The Light. And the Dark.

Prologue: Firefly

~##~##~

Violet eyes that pulled something deep from within my breast.

Black hair as dark as midnight.

A smile tinged with loneliness and power that scared me witless.

[Firefly...]

She was special. Nothing more, nothing less. The very way she moved you just KNEW, you know? How else to describe the moment you realized that the person who was always hidden in Shadow, who was Darkness personified, was connected to you just because you might have glanced at her once on the train?

They say every contact you have with another human being, you are instantly tied to the other's destiny as if there were tiny threads of blood red strung along your pinkies.

[She is surrounded by strings of crimson.]

Because Firefly has a voice that is like the whisper of destruction and a joyful babe's cry at the same time. Her laughter tinkles like soft bells in the dead winter frost. She could catch your gaze in her deep violet eyes; never letting go because you=d feel like you were dying a slow painful death and growing into fresh skin like a newborn child.

[She changed everything.]

She was the Darkness. The accompaniment to Light. One of the joint-leaders that brought harmony to the three worlds of the Universe. My magical world, the muggle world, and the Cosmos were tied together by the will of the Light and the Dark...together. If it weren't for them...

"Ginny...those little brats of yours are tearing into the furniture again."

Startled out of her reverie, a young woman with fiery red hair and a light smattering of freckles snapped back into reality. She blinked for a second, before narrowing her eyes at her husband's icy tone.

"They're YOUR children too."

"Not when they're ruining a perfectly good sofa, they're not."

"Hff...Oh for the love of-"

Passing by the smirking man at the doorway with a huff, she halted in a small foyer. Her gaze traveled towards a small picture frame, the photo taken when she had been younger and in school. It was crammed full of happy, smiling youths who had somehow all managed to fit into the picture. The end of her sixth year, and the beginning of the Revolution that brought the trio of worlds together. She could still spot herself, towards the left mostly...her wild hair flying backwards with the summer breeze and her head caught under Neville's arm as they all scrunched up together to smile for her father, the photographer.

[We were so happy to have been free...]

That had been one of the hardest years she had faced, and that was saying something...especially when your brother had been best friends with THE Harry Potter, the center of the entire Dark War. But she had soon discovered the horror that was unleashed after the fall of the Dark Lord, and it had not been a pretty sight. She could honestly say that if it had not been for Firefly and her friends, the wizarding world would not be alive to this day.

[Well...I suppose everyone helped out in their own way.]

It took everyone's unique power to join the three worlds together and to stop the invasion of the youma that had terrorized the Earth. Ginny smiled at the photo, knowing the happy ending that resulted of everyone's hard work. And the true leadership she had witnessed in Firefly.

[Amazing.]

A soft voice sneered into her ear, "Are you going deaf Ginny? ...Your kids are screaming the house down while you're up here grinning like an idiot."

"I was just reminiscing..."

Her husband focused his intense stare at her, "You can do your reminiscing or whatever it was later, I want to sit down and read the newspaper but I can't if those damn kids don't sit down and shut up."

She did her best to glare at him, even with the height difference, "Cold as ever, I see. Well, Mister I-don't-give-a-damn-about-your-feelings-but-you-should-very-well-give-a-damn-about-mine, calm them down yourself!"

Finishing off with a delicate snort, Ginny turned her head upwards and flounced out of the room, the slamming of the door giving evidence to her annoyed exit. With the screaming of tiny children increasing in volume just down the stairs, her husband stood there-

And he smiled.

"Well," his voice was soft, "Feisty as ever, I see."

I’m guessing that the only familiar character here would be Ginny, correct? There’s a mentioning of Neville, and then there’s the mysterious Husband whom you all know but can’t guess at.
