~Chapter One~

Silent Understanding

The tears swelled up in Blaise's eyes as she looked around Platform 9 ¾. The summer had been hard on her as she remembered the horror that she found in her parent's bedroom the morning after Death Eaters had killed her parents. She had gazed upon their mangled bodies as it occurred to her that no one was safe from Voldemort or his servants any longer.

Blaise's parents were ex- Death Eaters and thought that they had finally gotten away from him, but over the summer he had risen once again. It hurt her more then anything in her life because they were the closest people to her, despite her six years of schooling at Hogwarts. No one there probably knew who she was because they knew what her parents used to be and the fact that if you crossed her path the wrong way she would probably hex your head off, but that wasn't true at all.

She was overly secretive and reserved and very scholarly because that the way that her parents had raised her to be. They had placed many rules and boundaries around her because of what their past contained, but since her fifth year she had been merely bending the rules a bit.

Blaise walked onto the train with her cat in her arms and found herself a compartment in the back of the train where she knew that nobody would bother her even if they heard her sobbing loudly for her parents to come back, then again no one would know who she was because she had changed so much over the summer. It was only her gray eyes that had stayed perfectly the same.

After sliding into a compartment she made herself comfortable for the long ride ahead. She pulled out the latest issue of Witches' Weekly and slowly tried to comprehend what was on the page while her mind battled to relive her least favorite memories of what had happened. But along the way a few happy memories reoccurred. They started back in her fifth year when she had been asked to tutor Draco Malfoy, a gorgeous blonde haired Slytherin with gray eyes just like hers except for the slyness that permanently lived in them.

They both knew each other only because they were in the same year and House, so they took a lot of time to get to know each other a little more intimately. They became best friends throughout their 5th year and secretly began to get a little closer, but every time Draco tried to make it happen, Blaise had pushed him away.

He thought that it might've been because of her insecurities or something when it was really her parents. They always had her on a collar and she never got to experience life more them what was described in a book and he wanted her more then ever to let herself surrender to him and let him show her what he knew.

A smile crept onto Blaise's face as she sat reading an article on the always boring Flobberworms as she heard a slight tap on her compartment door. The door slid slowly open and it was the blonde hair that she saw first and then the gorgeous face that belonged to it as well.

She stood up and Draco slid his arms around her and they pulled into each other regardless of what the other really wanted because every time they embraced they melted into each other. It was an innocent love that they had, but neither of them had really given into it yet when they both knew that they wanted to. Draco whispered into her ear while she rested her head on his shoulder, "I just wanted to tell you that my father wasn't there when your parents died because I begged him not to do it. I couldn't bear the thought that my father would be responsible for something that horrible."

Blaise pushed Draco away from her and reached around him and slammed the glass door shut. The she grasped the collar of his shirt with her porcelain hands threateningly as if she meant him physical harm. "Draco, why didn't you ask him to stop the whole thing from happening instead of having him find someone who was just as cold as him to go and do it for him instead? Why didn't you? He would've listened probably. They were everything to me. You knew that! How could you do that? I thought we..I thought I- I thought-I." Blaise couldn't think of anything else she could say without crying so she gave into to the emotion and slumped down onto the floor of the little room that wasn't in the least bit comfortable and began to sob.

Draco didn't know what to do because he never knew Blaise to ever cry in front of him or anyone, or cry at all. He didn't mind it though because it made her even more beautiful to him. Why did I say that to her? I shouldn't have. She is too fragile right now and plus she has a horrible temper. He looked down at the beauty sitting on the floor crying her eyes out in front of him without a care in the world because the only people that she truly cared about except for him were gone.

He sat down in front of her, but didn't try to stop her because he knew that she would just start yelling and resist him. She wasn't the type to run to her loving best friend for comfort or consolation. That just wasn't where their relationship was at yet. "Blaise...Blaise. Talk to me Blaise, I can't stand seeing you hurting like this. It breaks my heart." Blaise raised her a little to look at her best friend's eyes that were pleading for her to let him hold her.

They were more then best friends, they were soul mates in a way, but they never truly admitted it to each other because it really didn't matter to them. They knew every little dark secret about each other and they didn't let it bother them one bit. Draco was hypnotized by how beautiful she had become over the summer. Every second that he looked at her, he regretted not ever becoming friends with her when they were younger. He had always thought that she was breathtaking, but he never went out of his way for anybody when he was younger. Not until his parents were sent to Azkaban, then he had grown up and become a man for himself because his father was not a man that he wanted to be like.

Her long auburn hair shone deeply under the train cabin lights and it set her eyes in an eerie glow that made him remember why he loved her so much. She was pure in an out and he was sure that he was the only that saw that when he looked in her eyes. Blaise lifted her hands and put them in his. He rubbed them lightly with his thumbs until her sobbing went away. Every time he saw one her crystal tears slide effortlessly down one of her cheeks, his broke more for her. He hurt badly for her, but she knew that he couldn't have stopped what had happened.

But he knew that Voldemort wouldn't be after her now, but would be back to chasing Harry Potter once again. Nevertheless, he felt sorry for the guy. He didn't hate him, but he felt really really bad for him.

At last the silence was broken and Blaise looked right into his eyes and he felt himself lose control of what he had planned to do, instead he went with his instinct., "Draco, I'm so sorry for yelling at you. I know it wasn't your fault. But right now I'm hurting a lot and the person I have in this world is you." He held her hands tighter as he felt the anticipation of what he knew what she was going to say next. Her eyes softened and she tried so hard not to smile, "I need you Draco. I will always need you because I love you."

Draco let go of her hands and he saw her eyes change drastically because he knew that she thought that he was pulling away when in fact he was trying to get closer. He slid towards her until their knees were touching and he put his arms around her and looked into her eyes and said, "I love you too."

The words between them finally were said, and that was even before their first real kiss. Funny how for some people things go out order, but there isn't order in life when you really think about it. He leaned into her body as she brushed her dark pink lips against his. He didn't dare rush things with her fragile heart, but she was the first to make it faster.

She kissed back a little more passionately because she felt that is what she truly needed at the time to heal her pain. He gave in a little as she barely bit his bottom lip. They both let their tongues slide slowly into each other's mouths as they both felt their love like never before. Blaise wanted him to hold her like this forever, but she knew that it wasn't possible because reality sank back in and they obviously have school, but now wasn't the time to let academics drown out her lovely thoughts of Draco loving her.

He moaned quietly into her mouth as she ran one of her hands through his hair while the other rested on his lower back. He knew that she wanted more of his so he wrapped his arms around her a little tighter and she lifter her up and it surprised her a bit as he gently pushed her up against the windows. The glass was wonderfully cold against Blaise's hot back as Draco let his hands carefully wander around her body, but he didn't place them anywhere he shouldn't, well not until she said so. He slid his hands up her thighs slowly under her skirt, but not up to a inappropriate height, but he did it long enough for her to gasp and moan a little loudly.

She was kissing his neck and he couldn't help but shiver from her soft kisses. He smiled slyly as she moaned every time he rubbed one of her legs or the top of her shoulders and he secretly hoped that somebody would hear them. She had a button up white blouse that he unbuttoned slowly so he could get to her collar bone. He slowly kissed along it while she held onto him tighter with every pleasurable moment between them.

For two years the sexual tension had built between them and now that they were finally expressing it, their minds were racing with undeniably wonderful thoughts of what they wanted to do to each other. The thoughts were produced faster then the wheels turned on the Hogwarts Express as it made its way through the darkness to the one safe place in all of the wizarding world.

For the last two hours of the ride, Draco and Blaise comforted each other in a way that was wonderful for the both of them, just slight kisses that made each other tingle with delight, but they had plenty of time to do this when they got to school, but for now they just wanted to do it cause they could. As far as they could tell, without a bit of Divination involved, it was going to be an interesting year for the both of them.

This is my first story on here so please write me and let me know what you think because I'm not the typical lovey dovey romance type author, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
