Harry slowly dipped his quill into his inkbottle and let countless tears fall onto the parchment.

He poured out what he'd felt in his heart and soul in the past month with his quill.

He watched his flaming tears mingle with the ink, until he finally shoved the parchment away.

A series of short small raps at his door turned his attention up.

Hermione stuck in her head, gave Harry a sympathetic look and then managed a grin.

He looked at her through his tangled, unmanageable hair. Hair that only a few days earlier...

Hermione opened the door a little more.

"Harry. There's somebody here. He wants to give you something." Harry pushed his glasses up on his nose.

"Tell. Him. To. Sod. Off." Harry mumbled and grabbed a blanket to wrap around himself comfortingly.

Hermione scanned Harry's face for a few moments before speaking again.

"Its not Draco, Harry." Harry simply moved a hand through his hair. He didn't care who in hell it was.

"Harry, did you hear me?" Hermione smiled.

"Yes, stop bloody smiling," Harry whispered as he itched his sock, making it fall down. A habit that somebody always thought was so cute...

Harry heard the door creak open even farther.

He saw a pair of big boots stumble into his room. Harry desperately lifted his head to look into the rough face of his friend Hagrid.

"Quite ter a mess ye' got 'ere Harry." Hagrid's forceful voice did nothing to stir Harry's mood.

"Um, well, somebody wanted me ter give yer this," Hagrid said quickly.

He thrust out his hand to give Harry a slim gold ring. After a few moments of careful studying Harry saw the words, "I love you until the ends of the earth."

Harry saw another pair of perfect feet enter the room. He knew those feet.

Harry wiped his nose and sniffed.

He didn't have to look up into the face of his love, his enemy, his fate. Harry saw the streak of silver-blonde hair kneel down and rest his head upon Harry's knee like a puppy.

He looked into the steel grey eyes of Draco, eyes that were now filled with tears, compassion and love.

Draco took a deep breath.

"I need you, Harry. I love you. I can't live without you. Its so strange waking, waking up and knowing, knowing, you're not there..."

Draco paused to follow the curve of Harry's jaw with his finger.

"And then I see you everywhere. In the innocence of little children, in the genius of mages, in the sadness of prisoners and in the love of newlyweds. Yes, this is our painful realisation that all has gone wrong but gone wrong for the good..." Draco's voice began to break.

"That, I, love, you. You, you are life...my life." Harry's vision blurred through his tears.

"Harry Potter, be with me, forever, eternity," Draco sobbed into Harry's knees.

"Yes Draco, eternity, with you," Harry lifted Draco's head and kissed him softly, on the cheek.

"Forever."

And Harry began to laugh, laugh out loud for anyone who could hear it, laugh.
