Chapter 1: Thinking of you, again

September 1st- We got back to Hogwarts today, though I'm not very egger to start. This'll be my fourth year at Hogwarts. The Rap or Try is back in my mind. I thought my childish love for him was over. Now I feel as if I need him to live. I had a dream about him last night. It was just like it has always been, but the end. Tom had kidnapped me again. But when he rescued me, he kissed me...he held me in his arms and kissed me. If only that had happened, I would know and so would he. I have to tell him how I feel and it needs to be soon.

The morning sun glared into her eyes, still early. Struggling out of bed, she remembered this was the first day of classes and lucky for her, she had potions, first thing this Monday morning. She struggled to the bathroom and started on her usual hour mission of looking nice. She got into her first day of school outfit, which she had to buy herself. The dress was a blue, not the childish sky blue, but like the dark blue of her eyes. She went off to fix her morning hair. The endless combing to make every strand lay flat and perfectly aligned took what would seem like a lifetime. She then did a simple charm that made her face light up with beauty. She wondered out of the bathroom, with her mind still set on the now continuous dream. Nobody else was awake in her room, so she silently walked over to her bed and gathered up her things for the next few classes. She creaked open the door and walked out to the sound of her roommates alarm clocks and the words 'ten more minutes' coming from all of them.

She walked down the girls' staircase to the few voices coming from the common room. As she made her way down, she noticed it was the voices of some of the new first years. They were probably too excited, or scared to get any sleep at all. As she walked by, they looked up and marveled at her beauty, their mouths gaping. She gave them a weak but joyous smile. She made her way out through the portrait hole, now having to duck since she had grown over the summer, and was startled to hear, "and where are you going off to so early?" But noticing that it was the high, snotty voice of the Fat Lady, she barely took time to turn around. She wandered through the halls with only the weak tapping sound of her shoes. Even the portraits that lay along the walls, seemed amazed by her and her graceful ways. She even remembered when a knight had asked her on a date on her way to Divination. She hit the portrait so hard with her book bag; it fell of the wall and skidded down the stairs. He never looked her in the eyes again.

She gracefully entered the Great Hall, seeing a few people sitting at their tables, eating toast and reading the Daily Prophet. She nearly screamed when he saw him sitting in the corner reading Seeker's Secrets. It was The Rap or Try. She came up with this name for him, but she never told anyone, in case they got a hold of her diary. She had learned that the hard way, when she caught her mom reading through her diary. For a couple weeks after, her mom wouldn't stop bugging her about it, but, by now, she had forgotten all about it. From that day forward, she used nicknames for everyone she talked about in her diary. She now, more then ever, wanted to tell him how she felt. She wanted to tell him how she felt since the day she saw him. She had missed many chances to tell him, but she couldn't. She was afraid he'd say no, that he didn't love her. This time was no different, still being afraid that everyone in the school might hear her and laugh. She had to get him alone to tell him and she so desperately wanted it to be soon.

"Hey Ginny, over here," It was Collin Creevey. Ginny broke her gaze from The Rap or Try and walked over to Collin, who was ecstatic about trying out as the new Chaser for Gryffindor's Quidditch team. But Ginny's mind was to full to listen to what he had to say.

September 2nd- Tomorrow, I'll tell him tomorrow. But I don't need him to know it's me just yet. I'll send him an owl to tell him, just so he knows there is someone there. I don't think I can take much more of these dreams. I'll have to tell him who I am sooner or later, I just hope he'll understand...I just hope he can love me too.

That morning was just like the last. Ginny had her mind focused on what she was going to say. All she wanted to say was, I love you, but she wanted it to be more then that. She wanted it to be enough for him to like her back. She was able to make it through her next two classes without saying a word, or even having to listen, which was lucky since she wasn't paying attention to the teachers at all. Her next class was Herbology, but since she had proved how advanced she was in it fro, last years test scores, she had a privet study. She was supposed to get through the first five chapters by the end of next week and report it back to the teacher. She slowly walked up to the Girls Dormitory, knowing she had plenty of time. She walked in the empty room and went to sit on her bed. She took out her Herbology book and a piece of parchment, still thinking about him. She didn't get two words into the book before she lost interest and started singing softly to herself.

To speak of you is like a sin
I see your eyes, your skin...you
Yet I speak of not for what you'd say
I'm so afraid to say it first

Then I think of what you'd say

It makes me want to say it less
For fear of you not there
Even as a friend
It's just
too much to bare
So I speak of none
And hear none back
I'd love to have you hear one day
But I cannot speak a sin
Yet
I speak
But I speak of nothing

If my sin comes out
I'll hear you too
I'll speak no more...no less
It's up to you
Just be true

She thought to herself for a minute, she had her words. She was going to give him a song. She took out her wand and enchanted the parchment to pick up her words, and started to sing again.

After she finished the song again, she picked up the quail and wrote a message.

Harry,

That was for you, hopped you liked it. I'd just like to tell you, I love you. I can't tell you who I am yet, but I will tell you one day. Hold back the owl and write back, it'll find me. I hope to hear from you soon.

-One's Secret Admirer

Ginny ran out of her room and out of the Dormitory. She quickly made her way up to the owl post. She grabbed the first one she saw, a white one with brown patches, and tied the piece of parchment to its ankle. She hastily told it told stay with the letter and, by surprise, it seemed to understand. She quickly through it out the window and watched it swoop around the castle and quickly fly into a window.

Now happy that she got it over with, she walked back down the stairs and through the halls. She then noticed that students were beginning to file out of their classrooms, and make their way back to their Dormitory. Ginny caught up with some of her friends and made her way happily back to the Dorm.
