The Two of Us

Saturday finally came. Ron was quietly humming to himself as he got dressed into his best pair of jeans and his Chudley Cannons shirt, which had many stains on it. This was his favourite shirt that he owned (can you tell?!)

"Ron, what are you so jolly about?" Seamus said in his beautiful Irish accent.

"N-Nothing," he said, hesitantly "Can't a boy be happy? Is that too much for a guy like ME to ask?"

"S-s-sorry. You're just usually down in the dumps. I've never seen you like this before." Seamus said.

And with that, Ron puffed and headed towards the stairs to meet Hermione.

Hermione was waiting patiently for Ron in the Gryffindor Common Room. 'Boy, boys are so slow. What is he doing up there? Putting on makeup?' She thought to herself. Just then, Ron came thumping down the stairs.

"Ready?" Hermione questioned.

"Yeah, lets go."

The walked out the door of the common room and out the front doors. It was a beautiful day outside. The sun was blazing upon them, but it wasn't too hot out. It rained the night before, so a beautiful scent was in the air. To top it all off, the birds were chirping brightly.

"Lovely day, isn't it? Good day for a nice stroll in the park." Hermione said.

"Yah, yah." Ron said back.

The two of them decided to first go into Honeyduke's sweets shop.

"Yum, they've stocked up." Ron said excitedly. He grabbed all of his favourite sweets, paid for them, and started gobbling them as soon as they got out of the store.

"Honestly, Ron, do you always have to eat like a pig? It's a bit embarrassing, you know," Hermione said bluntly.

"I'm not eating like a pig. See you haven't bought anything," Ron bellowed, with a distinguished look on his face.

They then went into The Three Broomsticks for a Butterbeer. There, they had a lengthy conversation about them telling Harry.

"Hermione, we can't tell him. He doesn't even know that I have liked you ever since 1^st year. Oh my god. Oops, I didn't mean to say that," Ron said with his ears turning bright red.

"You've liked me since the first year? Well, I guess its only fair if I tell you," she suddenly stopped. A weird look came across her face as she stared forward.

"Hermione, you look like you are petrified again. Are you okay?.....Hermione, Hermione?"

Ron decided to turn around to see why Hermione was so star stricken. Ron turned around to find Harry standing there staring at the both of them in awe.

"Um-H-Harry. How long have you been standing there?" He pondered.

"Enough to know that you two are a couple," Harry said.

Just then, someone popped out from behind Harry. It was Draco Malfoy, their worst enemy.

"Ah, Ron and Hermione. Perfect couple, not," Draco said chuckling.

"For your information, Draco, we are just here enjoying a Butterbeer. No if you two don't mind, we'd like to be alone," Hermione stated.

Harry and Draco glared at them and walked off together.

"Hermione, you don't think...."

"NO. NO! Harry hates Draco. That will never happen," Hermione said.

"Well, you know that Harry never knew about us. So you never know," Ron said in awe.

They decided it would be best to drop the subject. They started talking about their favourite band, The Weird Sisters. After a lengthy conversation on them, the two of them started to head back to Hogwarts.
