Chapter 3
Katie woke up early the next morning and found that she was in her bed. Oliver must have carried her up to her dorm. "That was nice," she thought. "He didn't have to do that. Sod off Lilly!"
"Lilly!" Katie said. Nothing.
"Lilly? I'm not trying to steal Oliver, honest!" No reply. Katie rolled over and discovered Lilly wasn't back. Now she was starting to get worried. Sure, Lilly had stayed out, but she'd always been with Oliver. He said Lilly had gotten hacked off over nothing and run off. Lilly was a royal prat, but she was also Katie's roommate. "Oliver!"thought Katie, "I've got to get to Oliver!" and with that she ran from her room, down into the common room and sprinted up to Oliver's dorm. Unconcerned with the idea that she would be a girl breaking into a boy's dorm, shethrew open the door and rushed over to Oliver, who was still very much asleep. In her blind panic, Katie began to shake Oliver, frantically.
"Oliver! OLIVER! OY!" Oliver answered with a snore. "That's it," she thought, and grabbed Oliver's water basin.
"WAKE UP YOU STUPID SODDING GIT!" she cried, throwing a fair amount of cold water on him. Bolting upright, and glancing at his clock, Oliver sat, looking as if he was about to collapse from heart failure.
"Katie? Wha-...? HEY! It's six in the morning, and I don't get up until six THIRTY!" Realizing that Katie was in his dorm, a boy's dorm, he eyed her suspiciously.
"Why in the bloody hell are you in here, and WHY am I so bloody wet?" Katie looked at Oliver, trying to ignore the little voice in the back of her head telling her he looked really cute at six in the morning, when he was only wearing boxer shorts, and not to mention, soaking wet. Katie groaned inside. "That boy is gorgeous! Those boxer shorts (they were red with broomsticks on them)... didn't I get those for him Christmas last year? Hmm... that hair... those eyes... GOOD HEAVENS! Those muscles!" Katie stopped to wonder why she was thinking these things when she'd seen it all before when they had slept over and camped out almost every night in the summers when they were younger...
Katie snapped back to reality.
"Oliver, where did Lilly go last night after she got hacked off at you?"
"Oh Merlin... I really don't know. She just ran off into the main street of Hogsmeade."
"Oliver, she's not back yet!"
"WHAT? Oh, bugger! Bugger, bugger, bugger, bugger, BUGGER!"
"Oliver...you've got to help me." Katie's forced herself to look straight away into Oliver's eyes so she wouldn't stare at his godly body. "This is my roommate, and... though I despise her for it, Oliver's girlfriend."
"Right then. I've got to get dressed and you should change into your robes." Katie looked down to see that she was still wearing her running outfit, shoes, shorts, and all.
"Right."

Half an Hour later, Oliver and Katie were walking through the corridor towards the Great Hall. On their way, they passed Angelina and Fred Weasley, who, to their surprise, were snogging. They were clearly in their own little world, and Oliver literally had to pull them off each other before stopping to ask them if they had seen Lilly the night before.
"Yeah, why? Wasn't she with you, Oliver?" Angelina asked.
"Where?" asked Katie, anxiously
"Um... late. Fred and I saw her heading towards the Ravenclaw common room with that seventhyear, Jonathan Clearwater."
"Oh thanks," said Katie, rushing off, dragging Oliver behind her.
"Cute couple," commented Katie.
"They're well-suited." Oliver said. Katie didn't have time to reply because they had reached the Ravenclaw portrait hole. Katie said the password "Buzzing Bee" and Oliver's jaw dropped when the hole opened.
"How'd you know that?" Oliver asked.
"I'm psychic. Didn't I tell you?" The look on Oliver's face was a mixed expression of fear and amazement.
"I'm joking, Oliver. It's actually none of your concern, thank you!" Katie stepped into the common room and ran up to the boys' rooms. It didn't take long for Katie to find Jonathan Clearwater's room. She swung open the door and held her breath at what she saw.
