The next morning, Draco was awoken at 8.30 by a house elf, who also informed him breakfast will be served in half an hour. He got out of bed and went to wash up and dress, remembering breakfast at the Weasley Mansion was a formal affair. He put together an outfit of black trousers, collared shirt, a cashmere sweater and a grey and green striped knit scarf. When he was satisfied with himself, he went through the door into Ginny's room. He was surprised to see that she was already up and dressed, and sitting on the bed reading a magazine.

"You're ready, already?" he asked.

"Yeah, I had the house elf wake me earlier, so I had more time to make myself beautiful," she said with a grin.

"Yeah, well, you look good. Gorgeous ensemble," Draco commented as he studied Ginny's outfit. She was wearing slim cut black jeans, a brown suede trench coat, a cream sweater, boots and a cashmere-silk scarf in shades of green wound around her neck, complementing her hair perfectly.

"Thanks, you too," Ginny replied, glancing absentmindedly at Draco.

They arrived at the dining room a little later, as Ginny decided to be 'fashionably late', as she called it. Before stepping in, they both switched to their 'we're a couple' mode - Ginny wound her arm around Draco's waist, and he draped an arm over her shoulders.

The long dining table that could have easily seated twenty was already filled with the Weasley family, Harry and Hermione. Plates of every breakfast food you could desire covered the table- eggs served in four different ways, bacon, sausages, toast, along with ten types of spread, pastries, cereals and more. House elves circled the table serving freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Ginny and Draco slipped into seats towards the end of the table, seats that were conveniently right across Harry and Ron.

"Morning, Harry, Ron," Draco greeted as he sat down.

Ron nodded as he had his mouth full of sausage.

"Um, good morning, Draco," Harry murmured, and Draco saw Hermione shoot Harry a little look he couldn't decipher.

"Good morning everyone!" Ginny sang out cheerfully, flashing her best smile in Harry's direction.

Draco started serving food onto his plate, feeling hungry after yesterday's exhausting journey.

Everyone chatted amongst themselves while eating. Ginny decided she wasn't getting enough attention from Harry and decided to feed Draco some of her scrambled eggs. Draco played along with her, knowing she would be pissed if he didn't.

"Have some more eggs, honey," Ginny purred as she held out another spoonful. "You know, I read somewhere they make your body look more toned. Not that you need it," she said loudly enough for the people near them to hear.

'That's complete bullshit,' Draco thought as he rolled his eyes mentally. 'I don't know how she makes up this nonsense.'

"Please, Gin, not over breakfast," Ron groaned as Ginny ran her hands over Draco's chest.

The action tickled Draco and he pulled his napkin over his face to hide his giggles. As he did so, he looked up and found Harry looking at him. Suddenly, he didn't feel like laughing anymore. He lowered his napkin and continued eating.

"So, what's everyone up to today?" Molly called down the table.

"Oh, Draco and I are going shopping at Diagon Alley," Ginny said. "Just some last minute Christmas shopping."

"That's sounds great, you don't mind if we come along, do you?" Hermione asked, motioning to herself, Harry and Ron.

"No, of course not. The more the merrier," Draco answered.

When breakfast was over, Draco and Ginny went back up to their room to get ready for their shopping trip. Draco lay down on her bed, while Ginny packed some of her stuff into her handbag.

"Oh my god, that was fun down there. Did you see Harry looking at us when I was feeding you?" Ginny laughed.

Draco did notice how Harry was looking at him, not them, but decided not to say anything.

"Yeah, guess your plan must be working," he said. He felt a funny feeling when he said that, but couldn't figure out what it was.

"Of course it's working. Okay, listen, when we're in Diagon Alley, if I ever point to something and say I like it, you have to buy it for me. Just to show everyone what a perfect boyfriend you are," Ginny said.

Draco sat up.

"What?" he asked. "Everything you like, I have to buy?"

"Don't worry; I'll pay you back for everything. It's part of the plan," she replied.

Draco wanted to tell Ginny just where she could stick her bloody plan, but kept his mouth shut.

Soon, Ginny, Draco, Harry, Hermione and Ron apparated into Diagon Alley. They began browsing around the stores. In a jewellery store Ginny pointed to five different pieces of jewellery, said "I like that", looked at Draco pointedly, and he pulled out his wallet to pay. The same thing happened in a clothes store and Draco soon ran out of money. Then, Hermione dragged everyone to the bookshop, Flourish and Blotts. Draco spotted on a bookshelf, a first edition copy of his favourite book, the novel The Golden Seeker. He was about to take it up to the counter when he realised he didn't have any money left.

"Damn that Ginny," he groaned, and put the book back on the shelf, sighing.

The group decided to go to Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour, next, and found a table inside. Ginny and Hermione started looking through Ginny's packages and bags, Hermione admiring the items Draco had 'bought' for her.

"God, Draco, you're such a good boyfriend," Hermione said.

"Yeah, Ginny, you're one lucky girl," Ron said, grinning. "Isn't she, Harry?" He elbowed Harry.

"Um, yeah, yeah, she sure is," Harry said, grinning quickly at Draco, before looking back down at his sundae.

Draco noticed that Harry had perfect teeth. He quickly shook his head, getting rid of the thought.

When they arrived back at the Weasley Mansion, everyone returned back to their rooms to get some rest before dinner. Ginny started putting away her shopping while Draco lay on the bed, feeling jet-lagged.

"Well, you really drained me. I don't have a single knut left," he murmured, eyes half-closed.

"I said I would pay you back!" Here," Ginny said and counted out the right amount of money, handing it to Draco.

"Okay, I'm going to take a shower. Go get ready for dinner," Ginny ordered.

"I can't. I'm too tired. I'm still on New York time," Draco said, starting to fall asleep.

"Draco! Get up now! You can't go to dinner in the same outfit you wore all day! Get changed!" Ginny said, pulling Draco off the bed and pushing him into his room.

Draco quickly changed, then fell onto the bed and went to sleep. What felt like two seconds later, he felt someone shaking him.

"Wake up! What the hell are you doing?" Ginny yelled in his ear. "Argh, look, your outfit is all crumpled!"

"Gin! I want to sleep..." Draco yelled back, pushing her away.

"You can't! Dinner is about to be served," she said, pouting.

"Just tell everyone I'm jet-lagged."

"No, I won't."

Draco sat up and stared at Ginny. She had changed into another expensive, branded outfit, done up her hair, and still looked as wide awake as ever.

"How do you look so awake? I'm exhausted," Draco said, rubbing his eyes.

Ginny snorted. "Coffee, what do you think? I had three cappuccinos for lunch."

"All right, let's go. But we've got to stop by the kitchen first for some coffee," Draco said.

He went over to the mirror, straightened out his outfit and raked a finger through his hair, making it messier, but somehow he looked even more handsome.

"Hello, gorgeous," the mirror purred.

Draco and Ginny made their way to the dining room, stopping by the kitchens first, where they had a house elf make some strong expresso coffee, and they gulped back three shots each. Draco felt more awake, but knew it would only be enough to tide him over for a couple of hours.

At dinner, he found himself seated opposite Harry again, and knew it was Ginny's doing. They were served a delicious three course meal, and thankfully Ginny didn't try to feed Draco anything, although she did make up an elaborate story about how Draco had surprised her on her birthday.

"...and he had set up a million candles on the roof, with white roses, my favourite flower, everywhere, and he had someone do a special spell where the stars spelled out I love you..."Ginny told the whole table, who were listening intently.

Draco blushed silently and cut up his steak. When he looked up, he saw Harry looking at him intently. The two of them stared at each other for several moments. Draco never noticed before how green Harry's eyes were...'because he was always wearing those nerdy glasses', Draco thought.

Harry's mouth quirked up into a little smile, and Draco found himself smiling back. A cough from Hermione broke their gaze, and they both looked back down.

After dinner, everyone retreated to the informal living room. Fred and George set a fire going in the fireplace, and Ron suggested toasting marshmallows. Arthur switched on the wireless, and Christmas carols played softly in the background. Draco found himself sitting in front of the fireplace a short while later, with Ginny cuddling up to him on his left and Harry on his right. Draco found himself oddly happy whenever Harry's and his knees happened to touch. 'Weird...'he thought.

Ron and Hermione returned from the kitchen with an enormous bag of marshmallows, sticks, and house elves in tow carrying trays of hot chocolate.

"Oh, Draco, do you remember the last time we toasted marshmallows?" Ginny asked.

"No..." Draco replied, momentarily distracted as he watched Harry's knee inch closer to his own.

"Silly! Remember, it was after we took a walk through Central Park, and we came home all cold and wet, then you made the fire, and we toasted marshmallows, and then we...you know, on the rug, in front of the fire..." Ginny said suggestively.

Draco felt his face grow red, and tried to subside the blush...red was a very unattractive shade on his complexion...

"Thank you very much for that image, Ginny, but I do not need to know what my little sister and her boyfriend does in front of the fire on a cold day!" Ron said.

Draco stole a look at Harry, who seemed to be frowning at Ginny.

'Huh, guess Potter didn't like that image much either...' Draco thought, 'Well, neither did I...'

The effect of the coffee wearing off, Draco felt himself starting to nod off again, and the warm fire or the hot chocolate did nothing to help. Most of the Weasleys had drifted off to bed, and only him, Ginny, Harry and Hermione remained. Then Hermione went off to her room, and Draco couldn't fight sleep off any longer. He drooped sideways onto Ginny's shoulder, and closed his eyes. The last thing he felt was a pair of warm, strong arms lifting him up...
