Ginny and Draco had arrived at the Weasley mansion, finally. Draco was dead on his feet, and didn't even want to think about what time or day it was. All he wanted right now was a bed. Ginny on the other hand, managed to look wide awake by throwing back two expresso shots before leaving the London airport. She fixed up her hair and makeup and smoothed out her outfit in the cab.

RIIING!

The doorbell rang out shrilly and the door flew open almost at once, revealing Molly Weasley, dressed in an expensive looking cream suit, with her red hair done up in an elegant upsweep.

"Mum, why are you answering the door? Where are the house elves?" Ginny asked as she stepped inside, giving her mother a kiss on each cheek, leaving Draco to bring in her Louis Vuitton luggage.

"I'll answer the door whenever I want, darling. Oh, Draco, sweetheart, leave those, the house elves will get them," Molly said, waving Draco in and giving him a hug.

"Good to see you, Mrs Weasley," Draco said, returning the hug.

The rest of the Weasley family, along with Harry and Hermione, who were staying at the mansion over the holidays, came down the stairs, and everyone exchanged greetings. Ginny smiled to herself and thought quickly as she spotted Harry. Slipping over to Draco's side, she reached down and weaved her fingers through his. Molly spotted this right away, of course, and raised her eyebrows, but remained silent.

"Mum, is it alright if Draco stays here too? His parents are in Paris, and he doesn't want to be alone in the Manor," Ginny said, smiling prettily at her mother.

"I know perfectly well where the Malfoys are, darling. Narcissa has informed me she'll be back in time for the Christmas Ball we're co-hosting. You're welcome to stay anytime you want, Draco, dear. We have plenty of room," Molly said.

"Actually, Draco will stay with me, in my room." Ginny replied.

Meanwhile, everyone had wandered off, and only Harry, Ron and Hermione remained.

Ron noticed Ginny and Draco's linked hands and asked in a shocked tone, "You two are together?!"

Ginny looked up at Draco, urging him to answer with her eyes. He cleared his throat nervously and slipped at once into 'actor mode'.

"Yes, that's right, we've been together for two months," he replied smoothly.

"Congrats!" Ron exclaimed, slapping Draco on the back.

"That's great, guys," Hermione said, smiling.

A strange look crossed over Harry's face, but he quickly recomposed himself and congratulated the pair.

"Ginevra, darling, I'm very happy for the both of you, but you know the rules," Molly replied in an undertone to Ginny. "No wedding ring, no sharing rooms."

"Mum, Draco is staying with me in my room," Ginny repeated evenly.

Molly, sensing a tantrum on the horizon, decided to just give in.

"All right, sweetheart," she answered, and summoned a house elf to take Draco and Ginny's luggage up to Ginny's room.

"Shall we proceed to the parlour for some drinks?" Molly asked.

"Actually, Mrs Weasley, I hope you don't mind, but I'm pretty tired, so I'd rather..."

Draco was cut off by Molly.

"Of course, dear. Go get some rest. I'll get an elf to wake you up for breakfast tomorrow morning," Molly said, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I think I'll go to bed too," Ginny said.

They bid everyone goodnight and she grabbed Draco's hand and led him upstairs. Hermione watched Harry as his eyes travelled to look at their linked hands, and her eyes narrowed suspiciously.

Upstairs, as soon as the door closed, Ginny flopped down on her enormous four-poster bed decked out in the finest Egyptian-cotton sheets. She grinned up at Draco.

"God, you were amazing down there! I didn't know you were such a good actor!" she said.

Draco loosened his tie and sank down on the bed.

"I don't really have to sleep in your bed with you, do I?" he asked, trying to speak through his yawn.

"Nah. I have a little room through there with a bed. My friends used to sleep there whenever I had sleepovers as a kid. I hate sharing beds with anyone," Ginny said, pointing to a door. "And, don't worry; the house elves won't say anything about it."

Draco picked up his bags and went through the door, revealing a smaller room, which was not decorated as nicely as Ginny's, but luxurious all the same, even including a small ensuite bathroom. Draco sighed in relief, thankful he didn't have to share a bathroom with Ginny. He knew she spent about two hours in there every morning, doing god knows what. He quickly changed into his pyjamas, and climbed into the bed, which had been deliciously warmed with a hot water bottle. He was asleep within two seconds.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Hermione had made an excuse to escape drinks with the Weasleys early, and dragged Harry with her to the guest room she was staying in. Once inside, she pushed him down on the bed, and then sat down in an armchair.

"What's up, Harry?" she said, looking him straight in the eyes.

Harry was an accomplished liar, but Hermione was one of the few who could tell when he was lying. He heaved a big sigh and decided to come clean.

"So, you noticed, did you?" he said.

"Yes! Harry, what are you thinking? Draco Malfoy? You fancy Draco Malfoy? The one going out with your best friend's sister? Straight Draco Malfoy! Oh my God, I didn't even know you were gay!" she exclaimed in one breath.

"Yeah, well, no one knows. I just figured that out myself about a year ago," Harry said.

"How long have you fancied Draco?" Hermione asked.

"I had a little crush on him in school...then again when we worked together in the Ministry. But then he moved to New York, and I kinda forget about him, but now...."Harry trailed off. "Don't worry, Hermione, I won't do anything."

Hermione gave him a small, sad smile. "Sorry, Harry, but I think it's best if you don't. They look happy together." She seemed distracted for a moment, and then said, "You know you're going to have to tell Ron you're gay."

"Can it wait til after Christmas? Let's just keep it between ourselves for now," Harry told her.

"If you're sure," Hermione said.

She gave Harry a hug.

"Don't worry, it'll work out," she told him.

Harry wished that were true.
