What Love Has Done

Chapter 1: The Plot

On the island of Seriphos in the Aegean Sea there was a small village of hoodwinks. All together there must have been thirty, the hoodwinks were as smart as the centaurs. But the most important hoodwink was named Selene. Why Selene was so important was because of her parents, they were the leaders of the hoodwinks. Their names were Circe and Themis, her father died when she was just fifty years old; another thing about hoodwinks is they live to at least 300 but their appearance never changes. Her mother is still living but not capable of leading the hoodwinks, so Selene told her mother she would take Circe's place.

"Selene! You have gotten a message." Tethys, her servant, came running up to her.

"Is this true Tethys?"

"Yes it is."

"From who?"

"The Dark Lord." Selene was shocked.

"What does he want?"

"He won't say, but you must come immediately."

"Where is he?" Tethys and Selene went to the small cave by the West Coast of the island to find the Dark Lord, when they got there Tethys was to stay outside and wait for Selene while she came in.

"Selene, I have called you because I need your help." Selene was shocked at this, the Dark Lord has never needed help from a hoodwink.

"I am in your service, and may I ask what need my help for?"

"Yes I need your help by getting Harry Potter for me."

"And how will I do that my Lord?"

"By using your powers of course, now what I want you to do is this: to become a transfer at Hogwarts--"Selene cut him off by saying, "Hogwarts? The wizard's school? A hoodwink go to Hogwarts?"

"Yes, now back to what I was saying. You go there and put your spell on him and lure him to me. I'll tell you more when you get there. That's all I need of you, you may leave."

"And what will you have me change to when I get there?"

"You'll be a human of course, but I know what you mean. I'll tell you when you get there."

"Yes my Lord." And with that she left the cave.

Selene decided she better tell her mother about what she was about to do, so she walked into her mother's room. "Mother?"

"Is that you Selene?"

"Yes, may I talk to you?"

"Of course child, come in. What is it you want to talk about?"

"I have taken an offer from the Dark Lord."

"And what is this offer?"

"To help him get the child Harry Potter."

"Oh yes, little Harry Potter, and how will you do that?" So she told her the story, "It is a great opportunity for you, now why did you come to me?"

"Because I don't know who will run things with me gone."

"Well...what about your brother Grendel?"

"You think Grendel is qualified to run the village?"

"Don't you Selene?"

"No! You saw how he ran your other village!"

"Well how about your sister Mnemosyne?"

"Yes she would be responsible enough."

"Good, well when are you leaving Seriphos?"

"As soon as I get my letter to Hogwarts."

"Very well I'll send word to Mnemosyne when you leave."
