Chapter Four: Announcements Without Explanations

"The backbone of surprise is fusing speed with secrecy."
- Carl von Clausewitz

Jade sat on the couch of the sitting room in the Order. She quickly looked at the clock that told her it was one in the morning. She wasn't sleepy at all it just evaded her. She was beginning to think it was mocking her by making her feel tired but not allowing her to sleep. When she had told Hermione this she had give Jade a small frown. When questioned about it Jade had not answered. The little girl seemed lost in thought. The memory of what had happened previous to that made Jade shiver and she grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch before laying down and curling up. She let the anger wash over her with the memory.

~The Previous Day~

Jade had wandered around the whole building to find out what else was there along with the kitchen and sitting room where she spent most of her time. She missed her mom and she wanted to find something to keep her occupied. She didn't feel like staying in the nursery. The other children all knew each other all ready. She felt left out of their tight knit groups. Jade also didn't feel like talking to anyone really. She mentioned things every once in awhile but otherwise stayed quiet.

During her walk she found out that the first floor contained a large kitchen two dining rooms the sitting room a playroom and the nursery along with a laundry room. The second floor was mostly off limits as it contained the Order meeting room and Dumbledore's room. Along with a bathroom and the library. Jade swore there was also a secret room but she hadn't been interested enough to find the entrance. The third floor contained ten bedrooms and a second bedroom. All the bedrooms contained the nine families that were staying there including the Weasleys.

After her walk she had arrived at the door to the Order meeting room. She knew they were in that room right now. Not all the Order. Just those that were concerned about her mother were in that meeting. Except for her. She didn't think it very fair that they kept her mother's fate was being hidden from her. Jade suddenly sat down with her arms crossed and glared at the door. She knew she was being stupid but she didn't much care anymore. She was acting much like her mother right then. When the door opened an hour later she was still glaring.

Ron opened the door looking quite surprised at what he saw. When Dumbledore had asked him to answer the door he had expected someone else. He opened the door wider and invited her in. Jade stalked into the room her arms still crossed. She kicked a chair back from the table and sat down roughly. She didn't bother to look around just glared at the table.

"Jade would you like to tell us why you are taking your anger out on the door?" Dumbledore asked calmly.

"I want to know what is going to happen with my mom." Her answer was brusque.

"Nobody knows what will happen. We shall have to wait for an owl from Mr. Malfoy," replied Dumbledore.

"Well maybe I don't want to wait." Jade's anger didn't abate. She didn't want to wait anymore.

"As soon as I receive an owl you shall be informed," Dumbledore promised.

"Fine." Jade pushed back from the table and slammed the door on her way out. She didn't bother apologizing or worrying about her actions. She just wanted her mom back telling her everything was going to be all right.

After storming up to her room she lay down in her bed as silent tears travelled down her face. She didn't even notice her Uncle Charlie come up behind her. Not until he sat down on the bed beside her. He let her think for a while just rubbing her back. Then he spoke.

"Ginny used to throw temper tantrums just like that when she was little." Jade turned to face him eager for a story of her mother's childhood. "She would yell and push and throw things before locking herself in her room. I would always go up and calm her down afterwards. I remember once when she had gotten into a particularly large row with your grandpa. She had gone and followed Fred and George into the forest behind our house and lost them. About six hours later we found her in a tree fast asleep. It was the first time I had seen him so angry because he was scared we had lost her.

"Anyways I went up after and calmed her down before I gave her this." Charlie pulled out a small stuffed toy. "It is a Chinese Fireball. It is a beautiful species of dragon and very temperamental. That stuffed animal is about twenty years old. But your mother took very good care of it. She left it at home when she moved away and I thought you might like it."

Jade smiled through her tears and gave Charlie a hug. "Thank you Uncle Charlie."

Charlie had wiped her eyes and taken her back downstairs to her usual perch on the couch where she clung to her Dragon. She said goodbye as he left on some business for Dumbledore. That's where Hermione found her around eight when all the other children were going to bed.

"Jade its time for bed" she said tentatively.

"I am not tired. Sleep is teasing me" Jade replied.

"What do you mean by that?"

Jade shook her head and turned to the window. She never even heard Hermione's footsteps walk away...

Jade still lay on the couch curled up with her dragon. Sleep finally came around two but it was restless and full of dreams.

~*~

Draco entered Malfoy Manor around eight in the morning and headed towards the dining room. He knew both his parents would be there with some guests. Sure enough when he opened the door Lucius, Narcissa and Blaise Zabini were sitting at the table.

"You'd think there as something kinky going on between the three idiots. Its like Lucius, Blaise and Voldemort can read each other's minds" Draco thought to himself. "Then again there was that time that I walked in on Lucius with that pink tutu..."

He gave his mother a small peck on the cheek knowing it was expected. Before nodding good morning to the two men.

"So have you the proof?" asked Lucius.

"Will this do?" Draco pulled out a vial of blood and a napkin with hair on it that was covered in blood also.

"I guess so" Lucius replied. "You have to prove it is her blood though."

"Sanguis erus." Draco waved his wand over the blood and hair and a gold ribbon drifted out of his wand and formed the words 'Genevra Weasley'.

Lucius seemed content after the spell and Draco banished the blood and hair to his apartment. The breakfast dragged on after that. Blaise and Lucius carried on about their precious Lord and Narcissa was quiet unless she opened her mouth to complain. Just when he thought he couldn't take it any more Lucius dismissed him. Thankful for the escape he said goodbye and Apparated to his apartment.

When he arrived he noticed the metallic smell of blood still hung in the air and the morning played back in his mind.

"Just cut me..."

"No I don't need blood..."

"Yes you do!"

It didn't help his current mood at all. The sound of the shower going soothed him though. It was a reminder that Ginny was still alive. Remembering Jade would be worrying Draco went to owl the Order. Then waited for Ginny to get out of the shower so he could have one as well.

Draco was half asleep when Ginny came out of the shower. She tip toed across his living room and tapped his shoulder lightly. She bit her lip as he turned and glanced at her.

"I was wondering if I could borrow some clothes as mine are covered in blood," she asked.

He only nodded and she followed him to his room where he showed her where his clothes were. After telling her to her to help herself he left for the shower. Getting in and adjusting the temperature to his preference he tried to banish Ginny from his mind. A picture of her in a towel soaked and biting her lip was etched there. She had looked entirely too appealing. This just wasn't the time for feelings. With that he turned up the cold and berated himself.

~*~

Ginny watched as Draco disappeared into the bathroom. She was till confused about everything. He had explained to her his role in the Order and everything else. Yet he hadn't touched on the subject of why he had brought her here and not the Order. She hadn't asked either. She was glad that he had seen Jade and made sure she was all right. Yet a nagging feeling was at the back of her mind. Why did he care so much? Surely he didn't know...

Shrugging she decided she would deal with that when the situation came. At the moment she had to concentrate on getting dressed. She grabbed a pair of boxers and her bra. Then she put a pair of grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt as well. Looking at the torn and stained clothes she had on previously she felt reminded of Blaise. She tossed them into a garbage can.

She wandered into the living room and glanced at a picture on the wall. It was a black and white painting of a girl lying in bed. The sheets covered most of her body except for a leg her arms and from her shoulders up. Her hair was fanned out over the pillow and she seemed sad. Her mouth had a small frown to it. She was clutching at the blankets as if clinging to something in her dream. Ginny thought she seemed very familiar. But couldn't be sure who it was. She looked at the picture for so long she didn't notice Draco come up behind her.

"Do you know who that is?"

"No" she replied.

He only nodded in response and sat down on the couch. She bit her lip again nervous for no reason at all. She wanted to ask so many questions but she didn't want to frighten him away either. She sat down on the loveseat opposite him. She waited for an indication that he wanted to talk. Anything that would tell her that it was ok to ask about everything. He didn't give her the chance.

"So does Jade know?"

"Know what?" asked Ginny confused.

"Who her father is" Draco clarified.

"Yes she does. Jade and I are the only ones who know" Ginny replied. She wasn't sure where this conversation was going.

"So who is it?"

"Are you sure you want to know?" Ginny asked feeling a bit hesitant.

"If I didn't want to know I would not have asked." Came his reply.

"You."

The room was silent and it wasn't all that comfortable. Ginny was worried about his reaction and angry that she couldn't keep her emotions in check. She didn't need the walls she had built around her to break again. She wouldn't deny her feelings but she didn't need other people to know about them. Or that's what she thought. She was busy denying she needed love. She was too stubborn to admit it. Jade needed a father as well. But where in the hell was she going to find anyone who fit that role. Nobody loved her like that.

"She looks exactly like you" he said after a while.

Ginny nodded her head in agreement. "She has your eyes though and your attitude. You should see her smirk." Her attempt to lighten the mood wasn't all that successful.

"I told Dumbledore that I would be your secret keeper as well as Jade's. Voldemort won't expect it at all," Draco mentioned offhand. "But Jade should stay at the Order for a few more days while things settle down."

"So how long will it be before I can see her again?" asked Ginny. She leaned back on the loveseat and looked at the ceiling.

"It depends on Voldemort and how much effort he puts into the search. He thinks you are dead so that makes things easier" he replied.

"Oh." It was all she could say.

They stayed there in the silence for a while before going to bed. Draco showed her where everything was and left her in the guest room before retreating to his own. Ginny fell asleep almost instantly as she was still tired from her encounter with Voldemort. The energy she had gained was gone. She slept a dreamless sleep and didn't wake for a long time.

~*~

Charlie smiled as Jade came up to sit beside him at breakfast. She was wearing green pyjamas with snitches on them. She held her dragon tightly in her arms as she yawned. When she made it into the chair she put her head down on the table and said a muffled good morning. Because she was crouched down beside Charlie, Ron didn't notice her in the room.

"I don't know why we trusted Malfoy in the first place. It has been twenty-four hours and no word from him at all. He is a bloody egotistical poncy git. Probably fixing his hair right now convinced that's more important than whether or not Ginny's alive" Ron muttered.

"You are just mad because he saved Ginny last night" Harry chuckled.

"Thas no' very nice Uncle Ron. I don' think Draco would say stuff 'bout you like that. Take that back" Jade said huffily.

"Jade you are messing with a childhood rivalry that just isn't going to stop" Ron said chuckling along with Harry.

"Only 'cause you 'sist on bein' a child" Jade replied her voice still thick with sleep.

Charlie started to laugh but quickly hid it by pretending to cough. Harry covered his smile with the coffee cup he was holding. Ron scowled but there was a small smile hiding at the corner of his mouth. Jade was beginning to wake up and smiled as they laughed.

"So Jade why are you so protective of Malfoy?" Harry asked casually opening up the newspaper that Charlie had just finished with.

Jade looked up as all three men took a sip of coffee. She smirked mischievously and told them. "Wouldn't you do the same for your dad?"

All three men spat out their coffee and stared completely shocked. That was how Molly found them seconds later. She put a plate of pancakes in front of Jade and looked around. Jade sat quietly looking completely innocent and ate her pancakes. Harry Ron and Charlie however were still staring open mouthed at Jade.

"What is going on here?" Molly asked suspiciously.

"Nothing at all Mom. Go into the kitchen and I will help you finish the dishes after." Ron was the first to recover.

Molly eyed them all and didn't buy the answer for a second but she left for the kitchen anyways. She still had a lot of pancakes to make. Charlie was the first to ask Jade just what she meant by her declaration.

"Draco is my dad" Jade answered.

"You mean he raised you more than Zabini right?" Harry asked.

"No he is my dad. Blaise has a girlfriend and she is really nice. Her name is Pansy like the flower" Jade explained.

"So Ginny cheated on Blaise?" Ron asked.

"Mommy got pregnant two months before she met Blaise" Jade said remembering the story Ginny had told her.

"Excuse me I have to go lay down. Maybe I will wake up from this nightmare," Ron said excusing himself.

"Wait Uncle Ron I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. Don't tell anyone ok? Mommy told me I have to keep it a secret unless it was an emergency!" Jade pleaded.

"I won't be telling anyone Jade. I am going to be too busy trying to forget myself," Ron told her with a weak smile before leaving.

"Oh no I have messed up again" Jade said sadly. "Mom will be furious with me."

"Don't worry Jade I think she will actually laugh when you tell her what happened. In fact I think you should spring that one on everyone at dinner tonight" Harry chuckled. "I would pay big to see the looks on everyone's faces."

Jade was smiling once again happy that her mother was ok and she knew who her father was. She just hoped she could see both of them soon.

~*~

Draco woke up to a tapping on his window. A glance at the clock told him it was six thirty. Groaning as he rolled out of bed Draco went to open the window. A barn owl flew in and perched on his headboard. It stuck out a leg and Draco untied the letter before giving the owl a treat. He watched it fly away before opening the letter.

There is a meeting and dinner tonight to discuss some things. Don't bring her as it could cause some damage to the plan. If someone saw her it may be the end. Get her to write a letter and leave it at that.

Draco looked at the letter a few times and frowned. This was not going to be easy at all. But then when was anything easy? He wandered into the kitchen and began breakfast. Ginny came in just as he was finished putting the food on the table. Ginny sat down with a quick thank you and started to eat the eggs ham and pancakes. Somehow she wasn't surprised he could cook well and with Muggle methods.

After a while he reached across the table and handed her the letter. He watched as she read it and her eyes darkened and her mouth curved into a grimace.

"So I can't see her?" she said distantly.

"No" he answered. "But you can write her a letter and I will help her write you one. That's the best I can do right now. I trust Dumbledore to know when the time will come to take the risk of bringing her here."

"Why don't I just go to the Order?" Ginny asked casually.

"There isn't a lot of room at the Order. If you wish to leave then I cannot keep you here. Dumbledore knows my apartment is as safe as the Order and I wouldn't mind having Jade here for a while" Draco answered. He didn't mention that he wanted her to stay. She wouldn't believe him anyway.

"I will stay here tonight but tell Dumbledore I don't think I can take much more of this" Ginny replied before retreating to the guest room.

~*~

Jade was quite excited about Harry's idea to tell everyone who her father was. She had said she wasn't going to but she was reconsidering it. She couldn't wait for dinner to come. She forced herself to wake up more and helped her grandmother with dinner. Finishing everything efficiently and properly. She also helped serve and clean up after everyone else's dinner. Then she set up for the dinner in the Order meeting room. When everyone finally sat down Jade grinned mischievously at Charlie Ron and Harry.

Molly had just brought in all the food when Draco showed up looking quite dishevelled. He said a quick word to Dumbledore before grabbing a chair and sitting beside Jade at the end of the table.

"Hi Draco!" Jade greeted happily.

"Hey Jade" he answered. "You doing ok?"

"Yes but I still miss mommy"

"I know you do. She misses you to" he comforted.

"So why can't Ginny come to the Order?" Fred interrupted. The room was silent and everyone looked to Dumbldore.

"I believe that right now it is safer for her to be away from the Order where nobody can spot her. She is supposed to be dead," Dumbledore answered.

"Why does she have to stay with a slimy git like Malfoy?" George pushed.

"George!" Molly rebuked.

"I think you will find..." Began Dumbledore but Jade interrupted.

"You take that back Uncle George or you gonna wish you was at Draco's" Jade reprimanded.

"Take it easy little one" Draco said with a small smile.

"There you go Malfoy has gone and brainwashed the poor kid" Fred sighed.

"Or maybe the poor kid has enough sense to think for herself" Angelina said dryly.

"Thank you Angelina" Jade said smugly.

"She even talks like him" George said amazed now.

"Well that makes sense since he is my daddy" Jade said before clapping her hand over her mouth. But her eyes still looked impish.

The whole room went quiet except for Draco's coughing fit Molly fainting and Arthur rushing to help her. Jade looked around at all the people looking at her and began to get a little nervous. Until she saw the twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes which gave her comfort. Charlie was the first to speak.

"Well anyone want some potatoes?"

"Yeah over here Charlie" came Harry's reply as he tried not to laugh.

"I'll have some too," Ron said looking a little amused at the looks on Fred and Georges faces.

"When did this happen?" Bill said addressing Draco.

"Well it all started in my seventh year..." Draco replied carefully. "But the pregnancy part didn't start until two months before she married Blaise."

"So you guys just had a casual fling?" Tonks asked intrigued.

"You could say that but that isn't how I would describe it" Draco said evasively.

"How would you describe it then" George asked not sounding at all amused.

He paused thinking about that night. He seemed a million miles away. "It was goodbye." He then quickly shook of the memory.

The subject was put on taboo when Molly came around and the rest of dinner was spent discussing non-Order business in a tense atmosphere. When Dinner was over they had dessert before coffee or hot chocolate. Draco was just finishing off his coffee when Jade crawled up beside him and fell asleep. He picked her up but lost her stuffed animal as he stood up. Charlie grabbed it and followed him to her room.

"She can't sleep without her dragon" Charlie explained when they got there. Draco was tucking her into the blankets and placed the dragon beside Jade.

"Thanks Charlie" Draco replied. They both knew he was showing gratitude for more than carrying a dragon.

Charlie had been the first to accept Draco into the Order besides Dumbledore. He was the closest thing to a big brother Draco had ever had. Charlie had shown him around the Order and told him the rules as well as how to break them. He had helped lighten the load of ridicule that Draco received especially from the other Weasley brothers. Charlie was the first person that Draco had trusted besides Ginny. It was quite ironic that they were both Weasleys.

"So did you care about her at all?" Charlie asked as they left the room.

"Who?" Draco asked distracted from his thoughts.

"Ginny" Charlie said plainly.

"Yeah but I never told her that." Draco sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Did she care about you at all?" Charlie urged.

"She told me she did. She told me she was in love with me."

"She did what?" a surprised Charlie asked.

"I have no idea what was going on and I was denying every emotion that night. Or I was trying to at least. Then she went and told me she loved me and I don't think she even meant to" Draco said not sure where he was going with that particular explanation. "I don't even know what I am doing now never mind what was going through my mind then."

"Do you love her now?" Charlie hesitated.

"Yes I do. It just isn't a good time to be dreaming about puppy dogs and happy endings. Life almost never works out that way. Especially for those people who have to pay for indiscretions" Draco calmly. Charlie could tell he was regretting past decisions.

"Love is always hard though. You don't just wake up one morning and decide that you love someone and then you instantly end up in a no problem carefree relationship," Charlie said. "Take me and Carmen for example. She transferred to my camp and right away I knew I was attracted to her. The dragons however are my top priority. I don't like getting into relationships and then breaking them off because of a transfer or work interfering. So I denied my feelings till the bitter end. It didn't help at all. It only caused us both pain."

"What happened that made you change your mind?"

"Carmen came into my tent one night and started yelling at me. Everyone else in the room ran for it but I just stood there amazed at how fluently she could curse. She accused me of leading her along and not caring about her. Man I tell you in that moment I fell in love with her all over again. She is beautiful as hell when she is angry. I waited about ten minutes for her to shut up before I grabbed her and kissed her," Charlie said smiling a bit.

"I think Ginny would slap me If I tried that approach" Draco joked.

"Most likely. She was always the subtlest out of all of us. I was actually surprised she didn't end up in Slytherin or Ravenclaw in school," commented Charlie.

"I don't think I will be trying for any romantic relationships anytime soon" Draco sighed.

"For some reason I don't think you can resist. Just one thing Draco if you hurt her you'll wish you only had Voldemort and your father to deal with," Charlie promised cheerfully.

Draco only smiled slightly in response not bothering to answer. He knew Charlie was probably correct.

~*~

"Lucius, the plan is falling apart around our heads" Voldemort hissed.

"I know, Master. What would you like me to do?" Lucius replied.

"We need the girl. If we can convince Harry Potter's child to come to the Dark Side then he will crumble. Since her mother is dead it shan't be very hard to do" he said. "Where is Blaise?"

"Here, sir." Someone spoke from behind a mask.

"Where are you on that damn charm?"

"I am sorry sir. It is not working, as I am not her biological father. The one with Potters hair is not ready yet sir" Blaise said.

"Yes it is ready" someone entered the room.

"Bring it here then, Wormtail," he demanded.

A silence descended on the room as Voldemort muttered a spell and waved his wand over the bracelet. Nothing happened. Voldemort flung the bracelet at the wall where it broke. He glared around at the Death Eaters present. In a moment of unchecked rage he threw the Cruciatus curse at Wormtail.

"Why doesn't it work?" he screamed.

"My Lord it could be that we do not have any hair left of the mother. Please give us a chance to redeem this mistake," Blaise murmured. Voldemort nodded and dismissed them all with a wave of his hand.

~*~

Draco Apparated into his flat and looked around. Ginny was not in the living room nor was she in the kitchen. He wandered into the guestroom to find her sitting on her bed staring into space. She looked sad and lost. He saw she had a hand over the mark on her arm. It was where she had cut herself to put blood in the vial for proof of her death. When she had healed it there had been a small scar left.

"Ginny?" he asked hesitantly.

She looked up then and noticed he was there. She tried to smile but failed miserably. Instead a tear fell down her face and onto her shirt.

"Is she ok?" Ginny said quietly.

"Yes but she misses you. I left her your letter and she told me to tell you that she loves you" he replied.

This caused Ginny to cry harder and Draco sat down beside her and rubbed her back. She calmed down a while later and finally managed a smile.

"She told everyone," he said. "About me."

"So my whole family knows?" Ginny asked bewildered.

"Everyone but the kids. All your brothers and your parents know. As well as Tonks, Dumbledore and Harry" Draco clarified.

"This is just not my week," she muttered.

"I think they took it quite well," Draco said with a smirk.

Ginny snorted. "How did Jade announce it?"

"She just sort of came out with it. Your mother fainted. I think Ron, Charlie and Harry all ready knew."

"Well that's encouraging" was her faint reply. The tears stared to trickle down her face again.

Draco didn't know how much more he could endure of this. Crying women scared him. They were irrational and moody. Sighing he sent an owl to Dumbledore before going to bed himself.

~*~

Blaise paced in his room glowering at nothing. That damn girl had cost him a lot. It was a shame he couldn't have killed her himself. Then there was the little brat out there somewhere. This was going to send him down back to square one. He was losing the respect he had gained in the Circle. The door opened and he turned to glare at whoever it was but stopped when he saw her.

The love of his life entered and closed the door behind her. Pansy walked across the room and stood in front of him without moving or making a sound. She just stared into his eyes and he didn't look away. He knew that she could read him like an open book. Just like he could her.

"You are entirely to stressed out and you need to relax," she told him.

"How am I supposed to do that?" he asked.

Pansy only smiled and pulled him over to the bed. She took his shirt off and told him to lie on his stomach. When he obeyed she straddled his back and began to massage the tension out of his shoulders until she could tell he was relaxed. Then she crawled off of him and stretched out beside him as he turned to face her. They were content with laying there in silence for a while.

"I love you" Pansy said.

"I love you to" Blaise responded.

Blaise leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Then he placed another on her nose on her cheeks then finally as she let out an impatient huff her lips. She forced her tongue into his mouth and engaged him in a passionate kiss. After a while they fell asleep in each others arms content with just being together.

~*~

"Its impossible and completely disgusting" Ron said. The Weasley boys were gathered in the sitting room having a chat. Carmen and no one else joined them.

"I think it's absolutely adorable" Carmen smiled.

"That is because you don't know Malfoy. He is annoying arrogant and a complete git," said George.

"An annoying arrogant and complete git that knocked up our sister" Fred ground out.

"I have to agree with Carmen guys. Malfoy has changed a lot and I trust Ginny's judgement" Charlie said with a smile.

Fred let out a cough that sounded suspiciously like whipped.

"I don't know what to think. I don't know Malfoy but just because he has changed doesn't mean he deserves Ginny" Bill put in.

"Yes but you see that is the point. It is Ginny's decision as to who deserves her or not" Carmen said happily.

"I still don't like her choice one bit" Ron muttered.

"Look at it this way" Charlie said, "They might not even get back together. So you can still hope."

"I don't think you believe that bullshit for a second Charlie." Fred stood up and yawned "its time for bed."

Everyone left the room until only Carmen and Charlie remained. She went over to sit on his lap. He kissed her forehead and they sat thinking. After a short time Carmen looked over at Charlie and grinned at him.

"Do you remember when we met?" she asked him.

"Yes I recall coming into the dragon enclosure and seeing a beautiful girl feeding one of the Romanian Blue Backs. Took my breath away especially in that uniform" Charlie grinned. "I always did have a thing for girls in leather."

"You didn't look too bad in those dragon hide pants either" she smiled back at him.

"Do you remember when you came into my tent yelling at the top of your lungs?" Charlie asked her.

"Yes I recall coming across someone wearing only a pair of flannel pyjama pants and nice stomach muscles. Of course he was in a lot less later on that night" she answered flirtatiously.

Charlie captured her lips in a tender kiss. Then they heard someone talking frantically coming down the stairs. Ron entered a few minutes after the noise stopped gasping for breath.

"Carmen we need your help upstairs. Hermione is in labour and the hospitals aren't safe do you think you can deliver the baby or at least help? I can't find Dumbledore anywhere," Ron said

Carmen rushed up the stairs without answering and Charlie took a moment to talk to his brother. Ron was still in the same place he was and he was paler than a vampire. Charlie chuckled and Ron snapped out of his daze.

"Your about to be a dad Ron! Look alive" Charlie said before summoning a couple glasses and a bottle of Ogden's Old Firewhiskey.

After he gulped down his glass a bit of colour returned to Ron's face and he headed upstairs with Charlie. When they arrived Carmen refused to let anyone in but Ron and only because Hermione had asked for him. After two hours of waiting Carmen opened the door and ushered Harry and Charlie in.

"Harry I need you to calm Hermione down and help her with her contractions. Charlie could you help your brother?" she demanded.

Charlie glanced at his brother who was lying on the floor unconscious. He smiled took out his wand. After reviving him he helped him stand and they stood on the opposite side of Hermione as Harry. Hermione was crying and pushing as another contraction hit her and Ron paled again but managed to stay standing. They waited for another hour before the contractions began to intense.

"Come on Mione you can do it" Ron said kissing the side of her head she smiled at him but it disappeared as the final contraction hit her. A few minutes later she could hear Ron laughing out of happiness.

"Mione look we have a baby girl" she heard Ron's voice. Opening her eyes she saw him standing over her with a baby in his arms. He leaned down and placed the babe in her arms.

"She is absolutely beautiful" Hermione smiled.

"What's her name?" asked Harry.

Hermione looked at Ron. "Don't look at me you birthed her. You deserve to name her."

"Jennessa Carmen Weasley" Hermione replied looking at Carmen.

"How about you take Jennessa out to see the rest of the family and I am going to clean Hermione up a bit," Carmen said as she hugged Hermione.

Everyone in the hall was sleeping except for Jade who jumped when the door opened. She smiled as her Uncle Ron came out with the baby. She rushed over and he knelt down so Jade could see the baby. Jade smiled and hugged her uncle.

"Congratulations" she said in his ear.

Everyone else stirred as Jade began to coo at the baby. Molly promptly burst into tears as Ron came over and gave the baby to her. She was definitely a happy grandmother. After the baby had been passed around to everyone Ron took her back inside to Hermione so she could feed her.

Author notes: Hey please review and tell me how horrid this chapter is ;). Hope the delay wasn't too too bad and I am going to go through chapter three in a little while when I get through some plot bunnies of mine. So maybe both chapters will come out soon. That also means there will be some delays later but we shall cross that bridge when we come to it.
Anyways thank you all so much for reviewing. Any questions or anything an be asked in your review or by email. If you wish to look for when I might submit a chapter I post them in my livejournal:
