Ginny Weasley sighed frustrated as she sat up in bed. A glance at the clock told her it was midnight. Ginny entered the bathroom quietly trying not to wake anyone up as she took a quick shower. When she got back into bed she knew she would not be going back to sleep, so she concentrated on not thinking about the day's events. She wasn't all that successful.

Ginny had entered her sixth year hating Draco Malfoy more than usual if not just as much. Yet, now she was not sure about what she felt. She found herself thinking about him in a positive light before shaking herself mentally. Yet trying to get rid of her thoughts did not always work. Like a few hours earlier when she had bumped into him...

"Weasley, its against the rules to be out after hours. Let us see, how many points will Gryffindor lose over this?" Draco drawled from a corner.

Ginny ignored him and continued walking down the hall away from him. She was surprised at how hard it was.

"Weasley! I asked you a question," he sneered.

Having longer legs and being about six foot three gave him an advantage over her five foot five height and shorter legs. He caught up easily and grasped her arm. Even that light touch made her go rigid instantly.

She spoke calmly and coolly but she had begun to shake. "Let me go Malfoy".

She could feel the walls she had built around her slowly start to disintegrate. She mentally cursed herself as she began to weaken with his constant nearness.

"You do not like Draco Malfoy! He is a selfish, mean, unmoral, dishonest, pigheaded, waste of skin, bones and time. Get over this right now!" Ginny breathed deeply, searching for her courage.

Of course, she had been repeating those words since Easter. The first time anything had happened had been then. It had been the first time she had lost control in so long. She did not know how it had happened either. They had been so content with throwing insults at each other. But when they had gotten a little too close during a small disagreement a kiss had turned their perspective around.

They started to ignore each other and come in contact as little as possible. Ginny started hanging around with the trio more. She was confident that something of that nature wouldn't happen around her brother. They only spoke or even glanced at each other when one felt compelled to defend a friend or relative around the other. It hadn't worked very well though. Ginny found herself in the situation again a week after the first encounter.

She was not sure what got her into these situations but she had a growing suspicion and it was not all that comforting. Draco Malfoy could be a lot of things but totally repulsive looking was not one of them. She could not help but notice his muscular yet thin build or his pale but not sickly skin. She admired the silvery blonde hair that he did not slick back anymore. Then there were his eyes. They were a cold yet intriguing gray. It was like a wall blocking the way to a place you did not know you wanted to be but you are driven to find it and all you have to do is break down that wall. So Ginny chalked it up to curiosity and teenage hormones.

Draco let go of her arm only he did it after he spun her around to face him. She glared up at him while he just stood their smirking. Though when she met his eyes she regretted it. She found herself unable to look away.

"What do you want Malfoy?" Ginny finally ground out.

"A swimming pool, my own country, a throne covered in half naked women and my own brand of peanut butter," he said with a raised eyebrow.

She gave him a questioning glance and against her better judgment she let her curiosity take over. "Peanut butter?"

"Yes peanut butter that does not stick in your throat," he answered.

Ginny could not help but laugh. He has got to be joking right? She was surprised though when a second later he cracked a smile. Not his brightest smile but it was different enough from a smirk to be considered one.

"You go have fun with your peanut butter invention. Good luck," she said turning to walk away.

"You still haven't answered my question Weasley," he said before she could take a step in the opposite direction.

"Take off as many as you want. Just remember: what comes around goes around."

"Malfoys do not get repercussions," he sneered.

"Everyone gets repercussions. Its called karma," Ginny said as she turned back to face him yet again.

Draco took a step towards Ginny and leaned forward slowly. She felt herself bend back slightly to increase the distance between them.

"You can only have a repercussion if you have something to lose. If you don't care about anything you can't lose anything. So no, not everyone can have repercussions," he said with his mouth dangerously close to her ear.

Ginny breathed deeply trying to ignore his close proximity and his breath sending chills down her spine. He sensed her nervousness and her anticipation. It was written all over her face. While watching her he was careful not to miss her licking her lips. They both wanted it no matter how much they denied it. Even as his lips touched hers they tried to convince themselves it was wrong.

Ginny placed her arms at his neck trying not to trip as she walked backwards in to an alcove behind them. With his hands on her hips and his tongue at her mouth he deepened the kiss. Just as Draco made a move to sit down a sound at the end of the corridor made them both jump apart. Hearing Filch talking to Mrs. Norris made them both panicky. Ginny grabbed a borrowed invisibility cloak from her pocket. Taking the shrinking charm off of it she threw it over both of them.

"If you hadn't insisted on walking around after hours without the cloak you wouldn't be in this mess. Why did you borrow it anyway?'"-

"Well didn't think I'd be caught and I brought the cloak incase I heard someone"-

"You wanted to be caught you knew he would be on duty. You know he is Head Boy"-

"I did not want to be caught!"-

"Whatever helps you sleep at night hun" Ginny fought with the opposite sides of her conscience.

When Filch walked away Ginny grabbed the cloak and began to move away. Draco grabbed her arm lightly only to remind her he was standing there. She knew he was just as confused. He only hid it better.

"I can't do this," she whispered and left him there.

She made it to Gryffindor tower before she collapsed in front of a fire in the common room. The feelings and thoughts tumbled around in her head. Emotions tore at her and she felt they were ripping her in two. Torn. That is what she was. Torn between pride and shame. Delight and disgust. Happiness and sadness. Anger and calm. It was overwhelming to feel so much at once. A headache formed, putting more pressure on her head. She somehow made it to the girls' dorms before collapsing on her bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ginny had successfully avoided any more run-ins alone with Draco for the rest of the year. It was almost over and he would be graduating this year. No more would she have to deal with forbidden feelings. She was glad to be leaving behind the stress. She still remembered looking in the mirror the morning after the last encounter.
Ginny's hair, a fiery red colour, had been in a loose ponytail with hair falling out. Her fair porcelain skin was paler than usual except for the dark rings around her eyes from troubled sleep. Her eyes themselves were dull and half closed disguising the chocolate brown colour with golden specks. Her frame was hidden beneath her uniform that had bagged out while she had slept. The same frame which was said to be one of the best in Hogwarts. It curved in all the right places and was angelic looking with the lack of the Weasley height gene.
Now it was the last night she would be spending in Hogwarts of her sixth year. Not the best night as she was spending it looking for a book. She had left it there when she had come down for detention with Snape. Leave it to Snape to come up with a rule saying you were not allowed to wander aimlessly around the dungeons. You couldn't tell he was in a bad mood (*cough*). Nonetheless her night was about to change.
As Ginny left the classroom she passed an alcove that was apparently empty. She concentrated on where she was until a voice came form the alcove.
"Well if it isn't Little Miss Weasel," the voice drawled.
"Wow I have a full title thanks for spending that amount of time on me. I almost feel special," she answered.
Ginny turned to face him even as she told herself to keep walking and ignore her instinct but she was running on a spontaneous impulse for the time being.
"You should be in bed," he smirked.
"Thank you Doctor Obvious. Is there anything else you would like to point out that I already know?" Ginny said returning the smirk.
Ginny gained some control and turned away from him but he grabbed her before she could move. He spun her around once again. Effectively making her begin to lose the control she had just gained. She could tell he was enjoying making her nervous. His smirk had a slight smugness about it.
"Let me go..."
"Why would I want to?" he asked lazily.
"Let me go or the Malfoy line will end with you because you will not be able to reproduce," she threatened.
"Wow I'm scared to death," he retorted sarcastically.
Footsteps echoed down the hall and Ginny moved quickly to avoid them. She hit Draco with the leg locker curse before taking his grip off her hand and stepping away from him. She paused as the footsteps got closer.
"Come on Ginny it doesn't matter if he gets in trouble!"
No amount of coaxing herself helped. She went back to Malfoy and shoved him into the nearest classroom. Following quickly she cast a silencing charm on the door so they could hear out but no one could hear in. Turning around she took off the leg locker curse by pointing in Malfoy's general direction and lit her wand.
They were in a small storeroom filled with boxes. It was so full that the only open space was a small area around the door that would probably only fit three people comfortably.
"So Little Miss Weasel, couldn't run away?" Draco smirked.
"I was being nice which is something I don't expect you to understand," she answered, irritably.
"Nice my ass. You shoved me into a closet and last Quidditch game you hit me so hard with the bloody Quaffle that I still have a bruise the size of London."
"Stop whining," she snapped.
"I am not whining," he protested.
"Yes you are."
"No I am not."
"Whatever you want to call it Malfoy."
They went quiet with neither acknowledging the other. Draco leaned against the boxes on one side of the closet. Ginny sat opposite him leaning against the door. Try as she might she couldn't get comfortable and was the first to break the silence.
"Whoever is out there has stopped in the alcove across from here and they were giggling. Do you know who they are?" Ginny asked.
"Parkinson is on duty tonight and she usually takes Goyle to help her on duty," Draco answered.
"Help her? Bullshit! Helping her remove her clothes more like it" Ginny snorted. "So if it is Parkinson and Goyle, why don't you just walk out of the closet and tell on me? They wouldn't get you into any trouble," Ginny asked.
Draco rolled his eyes as if he was really getting tired of sitting there.
"One, as we are leaving tomorrow there would be no point in getting you into trouble. Two, Parkinson is pissed off that I didn't take her to the ball even though she likes Goyle. Three, leaving this closet to find them making out or worse doesn't appeal to me," he said.
The closet became quiet again and Ginny tried not to concentrate on the heat. The fact that she was in a cramped closet with a cloak on in June was not helping. She took off her cloak and unbuttoned her few top buttons after loosening her tie.
"What are you doing Weasley?" Draco asked looking alarmed.
"Stripping Malfoy. Is that not all right?" she asked sarcasm dripping in her voice.
"Wouldn't be surprised after all the things I've heard."
"Its your problem if you listen to rumors," she shrugged.
"By the way Malfoys do not whine."
"Sounded like whining to me."
"It wasn't."
"Merlin help us all if you did decide to whine. Just lay down and pull up your shirt," she ordered.
"Why?"
"Because I want you so bad. Idiot, I'm going to heal the bloody bruise," she snapped. She looked thoroughly vexed.
Grumbling under his breath he did as he was told. He felt her hand cool against his skin as she gently touched the bruise. She repeated the action with her wand healing the bruise. Backing up from him, she waited a couple minutes as he sat up and leaned against the boxes again.
"Your welcome Malfoy," she ground out.
"Malfoys do not thank Weasleys," he replied.
"Well you are not leaving this closet until you do," she replied, stubbornly.
With that Ginny sat directly in front of him and sat on his legs. She ignored him as he gave her a surprised glance. They sat there for about five minutes when a giggle could be heard along with footsteps leaving the hall. She was determined to sit on him until he said thank you but the look he was giving her was making her nervous.
"The longer you sit there the less sleep we both get so I suggest you get off me," he said nonchalantly.
"I didn't hear a thank you," she answered.
"Bet I could get you off me," he pursued.
Silence.
"Well I guess if you don't think you're up to the bet," he pushed further.
"What are you on about?" Ginny finally snapped.
"I just said I bet I could get you off me," he repeated.
"I highly doubt it but feel free to try," she answered.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Don't say I didn't warn you."
Now Draco hadn't planned on being in that closet for much longer. His plan had been to shock her and then drop her and leave. He planned on surprising her by kissing her again. Not the smartest move. Ginny in turn planned to move away as soon as he got near her. But both hesitated and melted into the kiss that soon grew hungrier.
Draco pulled her into his lap so she was straddling him and ran his tongue along her lips. She opened her mouth willingly to him. She moaned slightly at the feel of his hands roaming her waistline. It was only after he made his way down her neck and slipped his hands in her shirt that Ginny came back to reality. She realized what she was doing and whom she was doing it with.
"Stop Malfoy," she said quietly.
"What? Afraid I'll give you a hickey?" he answered stopping.
"No..."
"Good because I already did," he said licking his lips.
"What? Where?" Ginny asked temporarily distracted.
"There over your left breast," he answered as if pointing out a spot on her blouse.
"You know this can't happen right," she said after awhile of silence.
"I think we both know that. Besides its not like either of us want this," he answered in monotones.
"Right" she answered.
She turned away to grab her cloak and hide the pain in her eyes. It was amazing how much you can care about someone who isn't good for you. Who isn't right for you in so many ways. Though the pain it caused seemed like it should be there. Like it was a normal everyday thing.
"So...we just pretend this never happened?" Ginny inquired.
"Its not like we haven't been doing that for the past few months," he answered.
"Right," she said again.
Ginny couldn't look at his face. The absence of emotion on the subject just hurt more. How he could have no emotion was just confusing to her. How can someone not care? That was the question going through her mind over and over.
"Why did this happen anyway?" she asked, pushing for an ounce of emotion.
She forced herself to watch his face as he answered. Looking for any trace of an emotion. Any emotion at all. There was a flash of something in his eyes but it disappeared in mere seconds.
"Who knows? Teenage hormones, being rebellious, or maybe we just felt like snogging a random someone and we just happened to meet at the right moment. There are a million different reasons. I however am not waiting to find out," Draco answered once again in monotones.
Draco and Ginny left the closet and went their separate ways wondering what exactly happened. They thought on it so hard and tried to deny everything that they were feeling. This caused them to miss the feelings settling in their hearts.
~~~~~~~~~ Five years later~~~~~~~~~

Genevra Weasley sat at a small corner table of the Leaky Cauldron with books and parchment spread around her. The books were to study for her test soon as she was training to become a Healer. It was eerily quiet at eleven with no one around. The fact that the only light source in the room was a few candles Tom had left for her did not make it any less disturbing.

Ginny paused her work and thought about her life for a while. It had changed so much. Tom had become a good friend during the years she had been working at the Leaky Cauldron. A part time job while she trained to become a Healer.

Everything seemed at peace almost like everything was in its place. Ron and Hermione were engaged. Harry was training to become an Auror along with Ron. Hermione was training to become a Healer as well but was ahead of Ginny by a year. It had brought them a lot closer and they usually talked about almost everything.

The rest of the Weasley clan was doing well. Of course, Mrs. Weasley often invited everyone for Sunday dinner. So the whole family could get together and keep in touch. It was a well-known fact that it was Molly's dream to have Harry and Ginny dating, though Arthur tried to tell her to let them be.

Bill, who had attained a desk job once Fleur had become pregnant, came around more often. As did Charlie though he still worked with Dragons. Ginny was convinced he was too attached to the dragons to settle down. Percy had moved to France after he realized what an idiot Fudge had been and apologized to the family. Fred and George said they reckon by his letters that he eloped with either Penelope Clearwater or Justin Finch-Fletchley. Speaking of the twins they were still extremely successful with their business. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes came up with new products almost every few weeks. Fred had married Angelina but George hadn't settled down yet. He chose to bring a date, usually a different one each time when he felt like it.

When Ginny thought about all the happy things that were in her life she couldn't help but feel guilty that she was not completely happy. She was missing something. She tried new things and different activities but could not seem to fill the hole. She did not want to know what that meant. The possibilities scared her. Insecurity was not an emotion she could deal with right now.

Sighing Ginny stood to lock up for the night. She closed all the windows and locked them along with the back door before making her way to the door. Just as she reached it the door swung open and Ginny had to jump back to avoid being hit. Someone in a hooded cloak burst into the room bent over and breathing heavily he barely got the door closed behind him.

Before Ginny could say a word he collapsed to the ground. Ginny rushed forward and tapped the man on the shoulder. His was breathing was about steady but he was unconscious. Ginny rolled him onto his back and ripped the cloak off. She could see his shirt was blood-soaked. She immediately recognized him as Draco Malfoy. But at the moment she did not have time to care. She ripped the shirt off and winced at the gash across his lower abdomen. There was something else in the cut though. Before she could look properly Tom came bounding down the stairs.

"What's going on Ginny?" Tom asked.

"I don't know. He's hurt bad though. There is something in his cut too. I think it will have to be healed the Muggle way," she answered.

"Can you do something for him?" Tom asked, sounding worried.

"Yeah but I will need bandages and some cleaner. Maybe a room also but he can just use the one I'm using. I can grab a cot and I will pay for whatever I use," Ginny said.

"Don't worry about it just do what you can for him," Tom said, waving it away.

Tom summoned the bandages and cleaner and Ginny cleaned and dressed the gash before levitating him to her room. She set him down on the bed before using a quick cleaning charm and covering him with a blanket. She pulled out the cot in the corner and after changing got into bed. This had certainly turned into an interesting day in a few minutes. Ginny soon fell asleep and did not notice that someone else was awake.

Around eight o'clock Ginny woke to the sound of tapping. She first thought the sound was coming from her dream. When it got more insistent and annoying she sat up and noticed it was Draco tapping his wand on the bed.

"Would you desist?" she said drowsily.

"Well if I could move I wouldn't be so bored. Then maybe I could 'desist'," he answered.

"Well sorry. Next time I will leave you to die. Especially considering 'Malfoys don't apologize to Weasleys' so I won't be getting any gratitude anyway," Ginny snapped back.

Neither of them was in a good mood and they were most definitely glad to take it out on each other.

"Considering that it was a life or death situation I am inclined to show gratitude somehow. As I do owe you my life I give you permission to jump off a cliff so I can attempt and fail to rescue you," Malfoy retorted.

"I wouldn't bother because I would not trust you with garbage never mind my life," Ginny replied.

"Wow I am so hurt," Draco responded dramatically, "I may just die of a broken heart right here."

"Good. My wish came true. Please, feel free to drop dead now," Ginny answered.

Getting up Ginny stretched and left the room with her bag. Draco thought she might have left but she came back. She had changed and brought breakfast. They ate the pancakes and bacon in silence. Ginny was surprised he could last that long without saying something cruel. Then again maybe she was just being bitter.

After breakfast Ginny applied a salve to his gash but still did not look satisfied. When she applied the salve and frowned Draco started to wonder why she cared.

"So what's wrong with it?" he asked.

"I think there might be something in the gash that's slowing down the healing. Even with antibacterial. The only thing I could suggest would be a potion but it takes a half hour to make. I wouldn't be able to get around to it until tonight at home. So after I'm off work we can drop by my house. Then you will be on your way or you can go to St. Mungo's now and get it over with. Though I don't know how you will get there," Ginny explained.

"I'll just wait. I don't need bloody doctors asking questions," he sighed.

"Speaking of questions, how did you end up in Muggle London?" Ginny asked.

"That is none of your business," he answered coldly.

"Fine. How about this, I will answer five questions truthfully if you answer three truthfully. But I won't ask you about how you got here," Ginny proposed.

"Fine," he agreed.

"You go first," Ginny urged.

"What are you doing in Muggle London?" Draco asked, leaning back into the pillows of his bed.

"I work here in The Leaky Cauldron," Ginny answered.

"Are you married to Potter yet?"

"No," said Ginny.

"Do you want to be?"

"No, my relationship and feelings towards Harry are strictly friendly," Ginny said.

"So do you have any romantic feelings for anyone?"

"Yes..." Ginny answered hesitantly.

"Really who?" he asked almost sounding interested.

"That is not your business. Pick a different question," Ginny avoided.

"The question of the month: Are you a virgin?" Draco asked smirking.

"Yes," she answered.

"What? How? Aren't you like twenty?" he asked looking a bit taken aback.

Ginny shrugged and tried not to laugh at the expression on his face. It was extremely hard to do. The smile on her face gave it away anyway. Draco just gave her a few looks before suggesting she start with her questions.

"So, you planning on marrying Parkinson anytime soon?" Ginny said enjoying the look of disgust on his face.

"No, I can't even count the amount of things wrong with that scenario," he shuddered.

"Are you a Death Eater?"

"No," he answered while showing her his arm. "Bet that's a surprise," he added.

"Nope. I bet Ron you wouldn't be before twenty-two," Ginny answered.

"That wasn't smart on your part," he challenged.

"I won the bet didn't I," she retorted.

"I guess. Next question?"

"If you could marry anyone in your year at Hogwarts who would it be?" Ginny asked, unable to think of anything else.

"In my year? I never liked anyone in my year that much," he answered. "I usually went for older or younger girls."

"Really that is interesting," she mused.

"What is so interesting about that?" he asked.

"Parvati and Lavender always talked about you dating Ravenclaw girls in your year. But then again they also told the whole school I slept with Marcus Flint for the password to Slytherin," Ginny shrugged.

"I heard about that. I felt almost sorry for you. It was bloody hilarious when he started to flirt with you," Draco chuckled.

"It was possibly the most disgusting and disturbing events of my life. I had to get Ron and Harry to deal with him. Even after that he didn't leave me alone he tried to stick his tongue down my throat. I ended up kneeing him in the groin and hitting him with the Bat Bogey hex. Of course, you know how that feels," Ginny said with a smirk.

Draco only regarded her coolly. It did not matter though. Ginny had to start her work for the day. She left the room to go around and do some wake up calls while cleaning any vacated rooms. She brought some tea and breakfast to room twelve before going downstairs to help with the morning rush.

When that was over she quickly went around doing the spot cleaning and checking the store rooms before heading up to greet the midday rush. Lunch was slower than usually and Ginny took a moment to bring something up to Draco. She told him to expect dinner a little late though; it was the busiest time for The Leaky Cauldron. Between lunch and dinner Ginny went out to grab anything they were missing and restocked the shelves before cleaning any left over rooms. Then heading down for the dinner rush. Around that time was when people began to ask for rooms. They filled up fast and Tom had to turn away a few people as the night went on. Ginny began to feel guilty as she was taking up an extra room.

The fourth time it happened Ginny interrupted Tom as he was turning him away.

"Its okay Tom. As soon as I'm done here I'll move out. I can come in early to do some work tomorrow. Besides our friend should be fine in awhile."

Ginny finished cleaning up after the dinner rush. She grabbed her stuff and said goodbye to Tom. She flagged the night bus and insisted they bring out a bed. She did not like the idea of Malfoy bending with his injury. Getting up and walking down the stairs was bad enough.

They made it to the Burrow in one piece. Ginny wasn't completely satisfied with the service as the jolting could not be good but she wasn't too worried. In half an hour she would have a potion ready and Malfoy would be gone forever once again. Not that Ginny was sure she wanted it this way. Molly and Arthur were both gone visiting the Order. That made the job easier.

"Come upstairs Malfoy. All my potions stuff is in my room. It will take thirty minutes to make and then you have to wait twenty minutes to Apparate anywhere," Ginny said while starting to climb the stairs.

Draco followed uncharacteristically quiet. He looked around the house wondering why it somehow appealed to him. When they reached Ginny's room he found it more familiar. It was similar to his mother's room. It was clean, organized and sophisticated. The room was filled with oak furniture including a bed desk dresser and nightstand. Her bed had white sheets and pillows but the comforter was a light coffee colour like the walls. The closet was opposite of Draco standing in the doorway. Ginny opened the door revealing a walk in closet with a mini-lab.

Ginny went straight to work on the potion, leaving the door open so she could see what he was doing. Though she got so wrapped up in the potion that she did not notice when he started to go through her stuff. As she was measuring the armadillo bile she was interrupted.

"So you got pretty fancy knickers," he said, holding a black lacey thong.

"Glad you think so," she answered, taking the article from his hands and putting it in her drawer.

"I have to go grab some coffee while this simmers. Do not touch anything and do not go near the bloody potion," she instructed before leaving the room.

Ginny entered the kitchen and had just put the coffee on when her parents came in.

"Oh, hello dear. How are you?" Molly asked her daughter.

"Fine. I thought you guys were out for the night," Ginny answered.

"We are but we just stopped by to grab our bags. We are off to Bill's to help with the baby. Newborns are a handful," Molly informed her.

Arthur and Molly bid their daughter goodbye before Apparating. Ginny sighed relieved they were gone. If they had seen Draco it would have been quite interesting. 'Hey mom and dad this is Draco. You know him, Lucius' son? Well he was hurt really bad and I am healing him... which is why he is sitting in my bed.' Yeah that would have gone over well.

"What took you so long?" Draco asked as she entered the room again.

"My parents were hanging around. I couldn't exactly tell them the son of my dads most hated rival was sitting on my bed so I had to go," Ginny said wryly.

"Your point being?"

"Never mind. Why aren't you wearing your shirt?" she snapped.

"I spilt ink on it," he answered.

"Smart one," she said tossing him a guy's muscle shirt from her drawer.

Ginny returned to the potion and finished it off. She handed him the cup she had filled and watched making sure he drank all of it. He spilt some of it on the muscle shirt he had just put on. Ginny muttered to herself wondering if it would stain. Finally deciding the bile would stain she took it off him and threw another at him. When she came back from soaking the shirt she found him with no shirt on laying on her bed.

She didn't suppress the glare she gave him even though his eyes were closed. She walked over to the closet and began to clean. It was almost successful at getting the image of him with no shirt on out of her head. Yet the fact that he was sitting within her eyesight did not help.

"Would you put a bloody shirt on? Its not like you're trying to seduce anyone," she finally snapped.

"I will just spill something on it anyway. But as to that the only person here to seduce is you," he answered. "Are you seducible?"

"No I am most certainly not," she insisted.

"I beg to differ."

"Believe whatever you..." Ginny began.

She did not get to finish because suddenly Draco was behind her. His presence was making her heart rate increase. He pulled her hair away from her neck and made a soft trail of kisses up her neck. As he turned her slowly and pressed his lips to hers his grip was all that was keeping her standing. After a long while he pulled his lips from hers to breathe.

"You know this can't go past tonight right?" he asked breathing heavily.

"I was trying not to think about that," she whispered.

"I'm sor..." He started.

"No," she silenced him. "Don't say sorry. Just make it worth the pain."

"Are you sure you want this?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure its worth the pain?"

"I hope it will be," she whispered.

"Then promise me," he requested.

"Promise you what?"

"Promise me that whatever happens you will never regret anything that happens," he finished.

"I will never regret this decision because that would mean I have no feelings for you. No matter how much I have tried I could never get over you. Those feelings will always be with me," she answered.

Draco knew he wasn't supposed to acknowledge what she had let slip so he chose to ignore it and slowly lead Ginny to the bed. She knew this was what she wanted. She was ready to give what she hadn't given to anybody else. Ready to give her body and soul even if he wasn't going to return or even want them.

Draco would always remember the smile on her face when she said those words. It was the saddest smile he had ever seen. As if it held all her pain. Nor would he forget that night or the morning after. Her sleeping, still tangled in the blankets with her hair fiery red in the sun, spilling through the window. The way she had whimpered in her sleep as if she knew he was leaving. And he would never forget how soft her skin was when he kissed her forehead before he left.

To the day he died he could never understand how he had left that room. How he had left her. He just didn't know where the strength had come from. When he mentioned this to Ginny years later she just smiled that same sad smile and answered 'your heart Draco. It came from your heart'.
