The Wedding
Morning blossomed early that cold December day. It was as if even the day couldn't await the momentous happenings that were to occur; the marriage of Severus Snape to Morwen Boehme.
"Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzt." Slapping wildly Morwen managed to halt the horrendous noise of her demon alarm clock. "Gah! Why am I getting up so early?" she said scowling at her alarm clock. She was never very cognitive at this early of an hour. "Ten more minutes," she said pulling the covers over her head.
As soon as these words were uttered the door was thrown open and a very excited Sree bounded into the room and onto her bed. "Up! Up! Get up! You can't sleep all day or you will miss all of the fun," goaded Sree to an unresponsive Morwen while trying to pull off the covers. "Ducky will give you detention if you miss your own wedding!"
Wedding? Today was her wedding to the snarky, scowling, greasy Potions Master of Hogwarts. Upon realizing this she grabbed Sree by the shoulder. "I am getting married to Severus today!"
"Wow!" said Sree sarcastically, "How ever did you figure that out? Oh wait I distinctly remember telling you that.
"Oh yeah," said an abashed Morwen. "Well now that I am up lets get some breakfast."

"You know I really miss the water. Too bad Filch had to drain it, eh?" said Sree doling out porridge and adding liberal amounts of cinnamon.
"It's a tragedy. I will really miss the boats rides and swimming," Morwen added tucking in to a huge plate of eggs.
"I can't believe you two are tying the knot. This is so exciting!" said Sree between bites.
"I know, I can't believe it either. It seemed just like yesterday I was trying out new pick up lines on him."
"It was just yesterday," said Diamond sitting down next to Sree and licking her. "So how are you holding up? Not anxious are you? I hear that some people have anxiety attacks on their wedding day."
"I'm fine. How could anyone be anxious on their wedding day? They are getting married to the person they love."
"I wasn't anxious. Were you, wifey?" asked Sree.
"Not the slightest, I think it is just a Muggle thing anyway."
When breakfast was over Morwen left Sree and Diamond so they could find Remus, and then went to the exhausting task of getting herself ready for the nuptials. She was the bride and if anyone were to show her up it would have been a major faux pas. So she ran up to her room only pausing to slip a note under the door of Professor Snape's private study. She knew he would be there that morning.
After washing, she towel dried her hair, and set at the task of making it presentable for the wedding. This was no easy task seeing as how the unruly mass always did the opposite of what she wanted. "GAH! Stupid hair!" she yelled trying to comb through a difficult knot. While cursing her hair Morwen thought of how she came to be betrothed to such a great man.
It was in detention that their love grew. Over sixty-six pages they had argued, watched movies, transformed first years into kickballs, transformed the Great Hall into all sorts of different things, and had numerous parties. All of these things meant so much to Morwen, and she held them dear to her heart. She would give up those pages for anything in the world.
When she was done reminiscing about how much fun they had had her hair was transformed into a graceful waterfall of dark brown ringlets which cascaded down her back. Pulling it back with a black satin ribbon, she announced, "Perfect, now on to the dress."
This was the best thing about the wedding aside from getting married, of course. The dress was a dark green strapless, backless, flowing work of silk art. The bustier was decorated with silver and black flowers, which outlined the top. The flowing skirt had two stripes of flowers that descended from her hip to the bottom of the dress.
"By Merlin, I look good in this dress," she said twirling to see every angle on it. She was very satisfied that it had only taken a small amount of inhaling to get the thing zipped up. "If Severus doesn't marry me in this dress he doesn't like women."
Now it was Diamond's turn to barge in. Morwen was in the act of putting on her makeup when the door was flung open.
"Morwen, are you ready? It is about time to start," said an out of breath Diamond. Apparently she had to walk around half the school because the stairs had changed direction halfway through her climb and she had to backtrack quite a way.
"You know they should add another course to the Hogwarts curriculum," said Morwen huffily.
"What class is that?"
"Door Knocking 101. Do you people not know how to knock?"
Diamond just shrugged and said, "Well, come on then or you will be late."
"I'm coming," Morwen said stepping into her shoes. "Blasted thing!" she cursed. "Dia, can you put this necklace on me?"
"Humph! You are useless!" said Diamond deftly clasping the necklace that Snape had given Morwen the night before.
"Ain't it perty?" asked Morwen totally lost in the gift. It was a silver chain with a black Horntail dragon pendant on it. Dragons were her favorite magical animals.
"Gorgeous. Now let's go," said Diamond. And she grabbed Morwen's hand and dragged her all the way down to the little tent by the edge of the Forbidden forest. This was where everyone was to wait until his or her time to proceed down the isle.
"Here is your bouquet," said Dia stuffing the assortment of lilies into Morwen's hand. "Now remember don't rush, or drag your feet or you will fall on your face. Got it?"
"Thanks, Diamond. You are the best Maid of Honor ever!" said Morwen huggling Dia.
"You are welcome, but I have to go and get to my place." So saying she rushed off to join Remus and Sree who were walking together since they refused to be separated.
So she was left alone in the tent to wait until her turn. So she waited at the end of the isle waiting for Sree to start singing, cueing her to walk.
There it was, Sree picked up her wand muttered, "Sonorus," and began to sing "If you're not the one," by Daniel Bedingfield. As soon as Morwen walked down the aisle her eyes locked on Severus' and she smiled.
"I'm getting married," she whispered.
