Author's Note:
This song belongs to AFI. They rock. I also want to thank my dear beta-ish person, Katja, and Katie and Jamie for just helping me get away with writing in history. This is the first fic that I'm posting, but I'm currently working on another fic with Katja. We will take forever to get that out. And I would finally like to thank all the little people I stepped on on my way up here. *wink*

I can remember a place I used to go.

Chrysanthemums of white, they seemed so beautiful.

Ginny was waiting. Waiting for that one person who could make her life complete. Harry Potter. She knew that she loved him. But he was with Cho. Cho Chang, overall ditz. **Harry, why? Why are you doing this to me? And her? Of all people?**

I can remember. I searched for the amaranth.

I'd shut my eyes to see.

Oh, how I smiled then, waiting so patiently.

Ginny had been Harry's girlfriend for a short, sweet two months. Then, she had come into his room, trying to surprise him, on their two month anniversary. Of course, Harry was making out with Cho. On his bed, where so many times before she had kissed him.

I knew they would appear...saw not a single one.

Oh, how I smiled then, waiting so patiently.

I'd make a wish and bleed.

~ Switch to Harry's POV ~

Harry knew that Ginny had been in love with him for months, even years! But he couldn't be with her. No, Harry was in love with Cho. And finally, Cho was in love with him. And Harry couldn't be with Ginny, so he purposely invited Cho up to his room so he could show Ginny he didn't love her. Cruel? Perhaps. But it got the job done. It was just a coincidence that it was their anniversary.

While I waited I was wasting away.

I can remember...dreamt them so vividly, soft creatures draped in white, light kisses gracing me.

I can remember when I first realized dreams were the only place to see them.

While I waited I was wasting away.

~ Back to Ginny ~

Ginny decided to breathe in, and work on getting over Harry. Was there even a "beyond Harry"? She knew the only way she could have Harry was in her dreams. In her dreams, where she could not fail to have him. But then... the nightmares came. Not your nice, evil monster nightmares. Nightmares where Ginny was with Harry, and then Cho came, all dressed up in a wedding dress. And Harry was the groom.

Hope was wasting away.

Faith was wasting away.

I was wasting away.

I was wasting away.

I never, never wanted this.

Harry... Why? She really truly did love him. But she could never have him. And then that fateful morning came. After Harry.

*Flashback to Seventh Year*

Ginny had been going about her classes in a stupor. Something like it anyway. She had thrown herself into her studies. Slowly, all her friends began to drift away. Then she got that letter. It was white. And it was covered in little flowers. Already knowing what would be inside, Ginny opened it with a heavy heart.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Cho Irene Chang and Harry James Potter.

Please come in black tie only.

Ginny right there decided that she could find love again. She didn't know who, she didn't know how, all she knew was that she would. Just to prove Harry wrong, and make him suffer for not choosing her.

*End Flashback*

I always wanted to believe, but from the start I'd been deceived.

I never, never wanted this.

Inside a crumbling effigy, so dies all innocence.

But you promised me...

Ginny then became a successful lawyer. And her first case was that of one Draco Malfoy against one Harry Potter.

**Well, things are certainly about to get interesting.**
