When A Mysterious Package Delivered By A Mysterious Bird Comes For Harry Potter, Don't Open It
Snowflakes fell lazily past the front window of the Burrow, the Weasley home. Ginny curled up on the couch, staring moodily at the weather. Normally, the snowflakes would have cheered her, but these were not normal circumstances. Ever since the return of Voldemort the previous year, Ginny´s already over-protecting parents were smothering her. They forced her to come home from her fourth year of Hogwarts for Christmas vacation. Granted, her brother Ron had to come home too, but he was at least able to go out with his friends. At the moment, he and his best friends, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, were out shopping for Christmas gifts. Although Ginny had been invited to join them, her mum had put her foot down. Ginny was mindlessly moping, waiting for something to happen.
Suddenly, the monotany was broken as a large, black owl swooped into the Weasley´s front room. It was carrying a large package. Ginny took the parcel, and the owl flew off. She inspected the package, which looked quite ordinary. It was addressed to Mr. H. Potter, in large green letters. Must be a Christmas gift, Ginny thought. She got up to put it under the tree, but hesitated. It didn´t exactly look festive, done up in brown paper. She untied the twine, and looked inside.
The package was a large box, wrapped in green paper. She reached in to pull it out, when she felt a familiar pull on her navel. The box was a Portkey.
Ginny landed with a thud on a cold stone floor. Around her, she could see the glowing magic that was the portal. Where the bloody hell am I? Ginny thought. She looked around, panicked, but she could not see through the portal.
All of the sudden, a semi-familiar voice spoke "My Lord, I present to you your greatest foe, on a silver platter. Might I introduce Harry Potter?"
Ginny gasped. At that moment, the portal disappeared. Ginny was in a room, surrounded by Death Eaters in black robes. She gulped, too terrified to speak. Somehow, I think I preferred it when I couldn´t see anything.
Lucius Malfoy stood in the middle of the room, next to a tall, hooded figure. Ginny´s heart skipped a few beats. It was understandable when you faced the most evil being in your world. It was Voldemort. Lucius Malfoy´sface was a combination of stunned, horrified, and angry. Ginny cringed, as he looked upon her with an expression of absolute malice. But she held her ground.
"Who the fuck are you?" Lucius said.
Ginny couldn´t help but feel relieved. The last time Lucius Malfoy had seen her, she had been eleven years old. She liked to think that she had changed in the last three years, but she even couldn´t hide her distinctive Weasley coloring.
Lucius´s face had changed. He´d gone from a look of absolute horror to looking like he would Aveda Kedavra her at the soonest oppurtunity.
"I am not pleased, Lucius," said a hissing voice," You promise me Harry Potter, and I get a Weasley instead?"
Ginny was rooted to the spot. That voice, it sounded so familiar, yet so strange. Tom. No longer did he sound like her sympathetic friend, but like an evil monster, which was, all things considered, an apt description.
