When I close my eyes I can see him. When I dream he is all that I see. I breathe just for him. He is my world; and I am his.
Entering the great hall my eyes search for her. My body does one thing, whilst my eyes watch her. I cannot show my love, my lust for her.
They have known each other since she was eleven and he, twelve. He did not know what his heart had in store for him. She would be just like her family, all muggle lovers. All against what his family secretly stood for. And she was.
She knew that he could not be like that. It wasn't within him to do something like that. To act like that. To be false. He acted as he felt. And she had found something he felt passionate about. Her. To her he was sweet, kind, gentle, loving. He was passionate and sexy and wonderful.
To him she was beautiful, an angel from heaven. She was his equal, she could best him.
It was the Halloween feast; the tables were overflowing with food as students hungrily waited for Dumbledore to conclude his speech.
"Hogwarts will always be a home for any student that wishes it. You will forever be safe here..."
Everyone listened, since he was talking about the latest attacks by Death Eaters; well almost everyone. Many students at the Slytherin table were not listening; many of their parents supported the attacks, as did they. Though there was also a student at another table that was not listening.
Ginevra Molly Weasley stared across at the Slytherin table, watching him. He smiled discreetly at her. He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, for a moment he seemed to whisper to it, then it folded itself the form of a small butterfly and flew an indirect route towards her. It landed on her plate and she quickly grabbed it, though not before Hermione had noticed it.
"What's that?" Hermione asked.
"Nothing," Ginny said simply. She wanted to open the note, but knew she shouldn't with Hermione watching.
Then Hermione turned and continued to listen to Dumbledore, accepting Ginny's answer for the moment. She would question her later.
The note had now changed back from a butterfly to a plain folded piece of paper. Ginny unfolded it and read its contents.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely as men strive for right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,
I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!
And if God choose,
I shall love thee better after death.
With love, Draco.
Ginny smiled and wiped away a small tear from her eye. How true she felt the last two lines were. Especially appropriate if someone discovered their relationship. She did not want to think how her parents would react, how the Order would react, if they found out she was, (dare she say it?) in love with a Death Eaters son, who could be forced to become a Death Eater himself.
Then there would be his family's reaction. She did not want to think of what they could do. There'd be some anger towards Draco, but what could they try and force her to do? She knew she'd do anything for Draco.
That's why secrecy was so important. They'd be smart to stop the relationship, especially in the middle of a war, but they could never do that. They would not leave each other.
Draco watched Ginny smiling secretly to herself. He saw a tear fall down her cheek and wished with all his heart that he could run right over to her and wipe the tear away. He wanted to know what she was thinking. He would ask tonight, after the feast, when they were finally alone again.
Pansy Parkinson had seen Draco send the letter to Ginny, even if others hadn't; for why would she take her eyes off her darling Draco? She wondered what was in the message and why she did not seem to react to it, except for a small tear. Perhaps Draco was taunting her, what else could it be?

Ginny sneaked into the Boys Dormitory and searched through Harry's trunk for his invisibility cloak. The trunk closed with an audible 'snap' and Ginny froze, not thinking of throwing the cloak on yet, for fear of making more noise.
She heard Neville snore, then Harry yell, "Shut up Snape you slimy git."
Then the room was silent once again.
She crept through the common room and carefully opened the portrait hole.
The Fat Lady woke up and whispered, "Miss Weasley, why are you not in bed?"
Ginny didn't reply and quickly put the invisibility cloak on. She made her way to the Astronomy Tower using only the light of the moon and a few candles on the walls to guide her way.
Ginny heard a noise on the stairway that lead up to the tower and flattened herself against the wall. Coming down the stairs was a pair of two second year Ravenclaws. Ginny almost laughed at the children, if they made any more they would get caught for sure, especially since there were extra teachers patrolling the castle now because of the Death Eater activity. Once the two were gone Ginny climbed the stairs to the top of the tower.
Once there she pulled a rug out of thin air and allowed two balls of fire to float just atop the wall. Now she would wait for him, after all he had further to travel and would have a harder time then she in getting out of his Common Room.
There was a noise and Ginny froze, not wanting to be noticed. There it was again! It sounded like shoes clicking on the cobblestones. Ginny quickly extinguished the flames and fumbled to get the invisibility cloak over her head, knowing she could be seen in the moonlight.
She had not fully got the cloak over herself when she felt a hand on her cheek and a loving voice whispering her name.
"Ginevra," he said, kissing her lips.
"Draco," she whispered, pulling him closer. "I loved the poem."
"I hoped you would. And though they are not my words, they are my true feelings. Ginny, if I happened upon the Mirror of Erised at this very moment, and forever more, I would see you in the mirror. With me," the words were truly from his heart and she could feel that.
What would she give for the war to be over right now?
Then he kissed her again and she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around him. His hands found their way under her top, the beautiful green one that Hermione had gotten her last Christmas. His hands found the clip of her bra and in one smooth motion it was undone. Draco ran a finger down her spine and she shivered. Draco smiled inwardly seeing her reaction.
He stopped when he heard something, something he really didn't want to hear. To them both almost anything could have been better then what they heard.
"I can't believe Harry's moved the cloak! We were lucky to get here. I'm glad he didn't move the bloody map as well."
That was Ron's' voice, coming from the top of the staircase. Ginny gasped and pulled the cloak over her and Draco's heads. She sat still, listening, whilst Draco managed to remove her top from her body without her even moving.
"Did you hear something?" asked a new voice. It was Hermione.
Draco froze, thinking it must have been him that she heard.
"I didn't hear a thing Hermione, stop being paranoid."
Then he kissed her right on the lips. Hermione returned the favour and within moments they were in full make out mode,
Ginny and Draco had to get out of there, fast. Before Ron and Hermione started to do things they really didn't want to see.
They stood up and quietly walked down the stairs. Then Draco walked Ginny (whilst still under the invisibility cloak) to the entrance of Gryffindor Tower.
Once they reached the Fat Lady they removed the cloak. The Fat Lady and all portraits nearby were asleep, so they could talk in private for the moment. Draco kissed Ginny again; on the lips, then down her neck, then towards her almost entirely uncovered breasts. Then the Fat Lady made a noise and he stopped. He kissed Ginny's forehead, cast a quick 'Look the Other Way' spell and left.
It took Ginny a moment to wake the Fat Lady and once she was awake she kept giving Ginny's almost half nakedness a very judgemental stare. Ginny ignored her and quickly said the password.
It was only once she had reached her Dormitory that Ginny realised that she had left the rug and her top up at the Astronomy Tower. But that wasn't all of it. She realised with horror that Ron and Hermione had used the Marauders Map to get there!
~*~
The next day Ginny woke late and had to rush down to breakfast. She arrived in the middle of one of Dumbledore's speeches. Embarrassingly he stopped and waited for her to be seated before he continued on. Ginny hurried to the Gryffindor table and managed to find a seat next to Hermione.
Ron gave Ginny a questioning look; she just rolled her eyes and whispered that she had slept in. She quickly looked over at Draco, who she'd noticed as soon as she'd come in. He shook his head ever so slightly and smiled a cheeky smile. Dumbledore resumed his speech and this time Ginny listened, wanting to make up for what she'd missed last night; though she had been told about it all, and some more, at Dumbledore's Army's last meeting.
"It seems that some students don't seem to understand that we do have their best interests at heart. There is evidence that students broke curfew last night, with two students caught leaving the Astronomy Tower and the evidence that others had also been there, err, star gazing," many students laughed, knowing exactly what generally went on at the Astronomy Tower.
"Mr Filch was patrolling that area last night..." Draco and Ginny made eye contact; it would have been horrible to have been caught by Filch. Ron and Hermione also made eye contact, thinking the exact same thing.
"I must express my annoyance that curfew is broken in these dangerous times. I think you all have some idea of the dangers out there, some much more then others," his eyes flicked to Harry. "Many of you do know better and I am surprised at those that did this," his eyes moved to Ron and Hermione, full of
knowing; though they never moved on, it seemed Ginny was not on his mystical, know-all, see-all list.
Harry saw where Dumbledore's eyes had moved, and he rolled his eyes. He must have known about what his two best friends were doing after hours.
Ginny took some toast and quickly put some marmalade on it, Hermione saw this and rolled her eyes. She did not get Ginny's liking for marmalade. Ginny was very late for breakfast, they would all be leaving in a moment. Ginny quickly changed her glass of Pumpkin juice to mango juice and was forced to almost scull it so she could have time to finish it. Dumbledore dismissed the students and everyone rushed off to get their things for class. Ginny quickly spread marmalade on another piece of toast and walked off with Hermione and the others to the Common Room to get their things.
"So, Ron, couldn't sleep?" Harry asked sneakily.
"What?" Ron said, flabbergasted. Ginny stifled a laugh.
"Well I woke up early this morning and you weren't there."
"Yeah. I was in the common room."
"That's funny, I was in the common room early this morning because I couldn't sleep and I didn't see you," Ginny said, knowing fully well she wasn't. Harry smiled, guessing she wasn't there.
"Do you know where he was Hermione?" asked an innocent sounding Harry.
Hermione whispered to Ginny, "Yes, he was at the same place as Ginny and I," Hermione rolled her eyes at Harry, as if she had said nothing important to Ginny.
Ginny, meanwhile, had stopped walking and was staring at Hermione in shock. Had Hermione heard something identifying Ginny? Or has she noticed her on the map; though if she had she probably would have marched right over there a punched Draco again. Or at least Ron would have. Perhaps whilst she and Ron were getting cosy she noticed the green top left on top of the rug. Ginny didn't want to think about it.
She needed to get away from them for the moment, so she could think. She muttered and excuse about having to get to potions early, then ran off to the dormitory.
Ginny grabbed her potions things and ran off towards the dungeons, hoping to see Draco before he went off to his first class.
Standing near the entrance to the potions classroom she could not see him anywhere. Ginny groaned, her eyes still frantically searching, she'd missed him!
"Draco! We'll be late fore Care of Magical Creatures! We better hurry!" Pansy called.
"Yes Pansy," Draco said, not really wanting to go to the class and defiantly not with Pansy.
He climbed the stairs that lead into the hallway which went past the potions classroom. Then he saw her, the brilliant red against the dark stone. His day was defiantly looking up.
He purposely bumped into Crabbe and dropped his books.
"Crabbe, you dolt! Look what you've done!" Crabbe bent down to pick the books up, but Draco pushed him away. "
"I'll do it you idiot! Go to class! I'll be there in a minute. I said go!" he said with extra emphasis to Pansy who had tried to remain.
He looked up after a moment and saw that Ginny was gone, but the door to a storeroom nearby was slightly ajar. He casually walked into the room, as not to attract attention.
Once inside, his lips met hers and they melted together for a small moment. Then they stopped and just stood there, Draco holding Ginny close.
"Hermione knows," she whispered.
"She knows? How much?"
"That I was at the Astronomy Tower."
"Say you were studying."
"Topless?" she raised a questioning eyebrow. "Even Colin wouldn't be fooled by that."
"Oh, but that's the kind of study session I'd enjoy."
"Draco, be serious! What should I do?"
"If she questions you, say you were there with someone, but won't say more until you know if it's serious or not. Then a few days later, walk up to her all teary-eyed and say you broke up."
Ginny laughed, "That might actually work."
They heard a large collection of voices in the hallway, if they didn't move now Ginny would be late for potions; not something she wanted to experience.
Draco cast another 'Look the other way' spell on both himself and Ginny. He ran down the stairs that lead to the common room, whilst Ginny snuck past the crowd in the hallway, very carefully, since the charm did not work on everyone, especially if you came in contact with them
Then, after a moment, the both turned around and headed back to the hallway, after having removed the charm.
"Move it!" Draco said rudely, pushing through the crowd of Gryffindor and Slytherin students. "Move it Weasley," he looked as if he had pushed Ginny roughly aside, but it was in fact very gentle.
"Shove it, Malfoy," she replied, as would be expected.
Then Snape appeared, as if from nowhere. He looked at the two for a moment before he spoke.
"Miss Weasley, refrain from being rude to a Slytherin Prefect, and Head Boy. Five points from Gryffindor. Mr Malfoy, shouldn't you be in class at this moment?"
"Yes Professor," Draco said, before rushing off to class.
Snape watched him run off, and then he turned to face his class.
"Why are you standing out here like monkeys? Get inside, its time for class!"
The students rushed into the classroom and took their usual seats. Ginny sat at the end of the back row, next to Colin.
Potions was not Ginny's favourite class, even though she has seen another side of Snape whilst at Grimmauld Place, it wasn't exactly a nicer Snape, more like an understanding of where it all came from. Nonetheless, she still didn't like it and found some areas rather difficult. Luckily Draco had been secretly tutoring her, Draco, who was taking NEWT level potions. Ginny was now confident that if Snape decided to pick on her, she'd be ready.
"Today's lesson: concocting the Draft of Peace. You did this last year for your OWLS, so you should remember it. We are revising today so we can do a similar potion next lesson. Let's see how much you remember. Ginevra Weasley! Tell me the main ingredient in the Draft of Peace."
Ginny really didn't remember anything about the potion last year, and Snape saw that. He grinned. Then she remembered Draco telling her about how nervous he was during his first OWLs, and how he had done that potion.
"Hellebore. Essence of hellebore." She smiled, seeing in Snape's reaction that she was correct.
"Correct, five points to Gryffindor," Ginny was shocked, Snape, handing out points?
Colin leaned in and whispered a congratulations, he certainly didn't remember it.
"Mr Creevy! Do not talk out of turn whilst I am teaching! Five points from Gryffindor!"
That was the old Snape they all knew. Ginny felt much better after that, and she allowed herself to absorb the lesson.
As she stirred the potion in her cauldron she imagined Draco there, with her. His arms around her, flesh against flesh. She was lost in her imagination, blocking out all around her.
"Miss Weasley! Ginevra! Snap out of it!"
She blinked and saw Snape standing next to her, and Colin just behind him. There was no-one else in the classroom.
"Mr Creevy, run along now."
Colin delayed for a moment, and then ran off with a look from Snape.
"Miss Weasley, is something troubling you? You seem quite distant," Snape was looking uncomfortable. "Err, if you want I can fetch Professor McGonagall, if you have, err, girl problems."
Ginny's eyes widened then she suppressed a giggle.
"No thanks Professor, it's nothing like that!"
"Alright, run along now," he quickly tapped her cauldron with his wand, emptying it, and then he strode from the room.
Pansy stood outside the classroom, listening. She wondered what was troubling the Weasel. Had what Draco written really affected her that badly? She should congratulate him. Though she wondered about Snape's reaction. Snape, being caring?
~*~
The next day was a Saturday and the students were allowed to visit Hogsmede.
Ginny and Draco had forgone the trip, wanting to spend some time alone.
Ginny giggled like mad when they went into the Prefects bathroom. Ginny sat, in her underwear, at the edge of the pool sized bath, dangling her legs in the water. Draco, also in just his underwear, floated on his back in the bath.
"Draco, what do you want to do when you graduate?"
"I've never really thought about it. I'd always presumed that I'd take over the family business."
"Which is?"
"Making money whilst acting as evil as possible."
"When I was little I used to want to work at the Ministry like Dad, but now, after seeing all the bull he had to deal with I want to stay far away from all that. Maybe become a teacher or something, I've always liked it here."
Draco swam to where Ginny sat and stood up, encasing her in his arms.
"I think whatever you do, you'll be brilliant. You are brilliant!"
He let himself fall into the water, diving under it and finding Ginny's feet. Ginny, he had earlier discovered, had very ticklish feet. He tickled her feet and she laughed, kicking out at him playfully.
Then he kissed her leg, getting higher and higher until he reached her thigh. He was kissing her inner thigh when suddenly, his arms were around her and he pulled her, laughing and screaming, into the water.
She dived under, and swam away from him. She pulled on one of the taps and out poured a light mist, which soon filled the room. It made things difficult to see, especially if one was under water. She swum over to Draco, dacked him then removed the mist with a flick of her wand. She giggled, getting the mermaid on the walls' attention. The mermaid laughed and wolf-whistled; as did Moaning Myrtle, who suddenly came out of the U-bend.
"Myrtle! What are you doing here?" Ginny gasped.
"I come here sometimes to watch the Prefects," Myrtle winked at Draco, who was trying frantically to get his underwear back on.
"Myrtle, please don't tell anyone about this!" Ginny pleaded.
"I suppose. Now that you've moved on I can have Harry all to myself!" she giggled and floated away.
Draco crept up behind Ginny, threw his arms around her and lifted her into the air. Then he dropped her into the water with a huge splash. When she bobbed back up he was kissing her neck, then her lips. There they stood, for how long they did not know, in their own world.
They were woken from their dream like trance by a high pitched shriek.
"Oh my God!" they turned, still in each others arms, to see Hermione standing there, frozen in shock. Then she turned to leave the room.
Ginny swam to the edge of the bath, calling Hermione's name. She jumped out the bath and grabbed Hermione's arm to stop her leaving.
"Hermione, wait, please!"
"Ginny, what the hell do you think you are doing? What did you do to her Malfoy?" Hermione pulled her wand out and pointed it at Draco.
Ginny, quickly pulling a towel around herself, tried to reason with Hermione, but she wouldn't listen.
"You're scum Malfoy! I don't know how the hell you made Head Boy! I don't know what you did to get Ginny to do...that; but I'll find out! Dumbledore will find out, you'll get kicked out!"
Hermione was hysterical and screaming at Draco. Ginny had never seen her like this. She was afraid, they weren't ready to be found out, it could be dangerous.
Ginny got her wand and pointed it at Hermione.
Hermione turned.
"Ginny, what are you doing?"
"Obliviate!"
