"I want to be a ballerina when I grow up," said the little girl as she pulled at her blond braids. "What do you want to be?"

"I don't care," the little boy shrugged. "Just as long as I have you around it doesn't matter."

"I wish we could go see the Kneezel's concert too," said the girl with a sigh. "But Momma says we're too young. What do you think?"

"We can always play their records really loud," the boy shrugged. "It'll be like they're singing just for you and me."

(11)

"I just know I'll make Slytherin," said the girl as they boarded the train. "And you will too, right?"

"I guess," the boy shrugged. "As long as we get to see each other I don't really care where I go."

(14)

"I shouldn't have done that," said the girl, her lips still tingling. "You won't tell anyone will you?"

"No," the boy shrugged. "But I know it'll happen again and that's all that matters to me."

(16)

"You left," said the girl, blood pounding in her ears as she fought the urge to cry. "Why would you leave us? Me?"

"I guess I couldn't take them anymore," the boy shrugged. "And I didn't leave you. I could never leave you."

(18)

"No more Hogwarts," said the girl, her words dancing over hot skin. "If it's the end of school, does that mean it's the end of us?"

"Who knows what the future holds," the boy shrugged. "I know you love me though, and that's all I need."

(20)

"I'm getting married," the girl said as she took a seat in the booth. "Have you heard?"

"Everyone has," the boy shrugged. "You don't love him. I know you don't."

(23)

"It's a boy," said the girl as she stared through the glass at her new son. "He's gorgeous, isn't he?"

"He looks far too much like his father," the boy shrugged. "I need to go. I promised James I'd pick Lily up from her appointment."

(24)

"They say you killed them," said the girl as she entered the cell. "Is it true?"

"You wouldn't believe me anyway," the boy shrugged. "I see you whenever the dementors are around, you know."

(26)

"They brought in Bella yesterday," said the girl as she placed her palm on the door to the cell. "Did you know?"

"Thought I heard her howling," the boy shrugged. "Don't come back here. It hurts too much."

(38)

"Kreacher came to me today," said the girl as she walked through the doorway. "He told my husband and me what you're hiding here. He said you're mother's having a fit and that you hold secret meetings. He said you say my name in your sleep. Do you?"

"I'm asleep," the boy shrugged. "But I do dream of you."

"Be careful," said the girl as a tear slid down her cheek. "Will you?"

"I can't promise anything," the boy shrugged again. "But I'll try, for you."

... ... ...

"I told you to be careful," said the girl as she placed the bouquet on the marker and felt her heart break for the last time. "Why didn't you listen?"

But this time, there was no boy there to answer.
