Chapter Six- Heart Break

Harry sat up in his hospital bed and looked around. Myra, Hermione, and Ginny were on one side of him. Ron, Fred and George were on the other. Across from him was a bunch of Hufflepuff's. Harry heard some crying in the room across the hall. He quietly got up to investigate.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Chang, but there is nothing we can do for Cho," Dumbledore said.

"Why? She has barely had the disease for seventy-two hours!" she cried.

"I know. Cho has reacted strangely to the disease. It went right for her organs. There is nothing we can do for her, I'm sorry," he said. Harry saw Madam Pomfrey come into the room. There were tears in her eyes. Harry felt a sharp twang and immediately knew what she was going to say.

"Mr. and Mrs. Chang, you can see your daughter now," Madam Pomfrey said. Harry watched as Mr. and Mrs. Chang, Dumbledore, and Madam Pomfrey went into a adjoining room. Harry quietly crept into the room that had just been occupied.

"Honey... sweetie, this is mum. Can you hear me? Baby, I... I just want to tell you that I will always love... love you," and with that Mrs. Chang burst into tears.

"Princess... this is daddy. I hope you can hear me. I know you know that you're going to leave us soon... I just need to tell you that wh... whatever happens we will always love you. Please... please understand that life isn't always fair, and we feel that having your life taken is the most cruel thing the universe could do," Mr. Chang said.

"She's going quickly..."

"Please do something!"

"No... not Cho!"

"No!"

"I'm sorry... she's gone," Madam Pomfrey said.

Sobbing filled the room. Harry ran out into the hallway, tears filling his eyes. It's not fair! Everyone in my life that is close to me is being taken away! I don't want to be close to anybody if they're all going to die! Why should they die!

Harry looked up and saw Cedric's ghost standing in the hallway, looking at him.

"Everything happens for a reason, Harry. One day you will find out why we died. Until then Harry, please be careful," he said.

"I understand. Please, when you see Cho tell her... tell her that I... she will always be in my heart," Harry said.

Cedric nodded and turned down

"What do you mean, you just died, Cho? You're right here!" Hermione said.

"Hermione, this is a dream. Please listen to me. I need to warn you of the future. A new evil has awakened. It must be destroyed. You have the power, along with the others, to defeat it. You must do this to survive. Please Hermione, you must do this!" Cho said.

"I understand..."

"Good. Hermione...I bid you farewell. You were always a great friend. I shall miss you!" and with that Cho Chang vanished...

Hermione woke with a start. She looked around the room. She couldn't remember what had happened, and then it came back to her in a flash. The party, the demon, the flash of light, all that seemed like it had happened a million years ago. What could have happened? I don't understand! What was the flash? Cho! Is Cho all right? So many questions! I have to find out!

Hermione looked over at Harry, she noticed that he was shaking, not from the cold, but because he was sad. Oh god, that must mean she is dead. How could such a horrible thing happen? I can't believe this! Poor Harry, poor everybody! All this is happening so fast!

"Harry, are you okay?" she whispered.

"She died... I didn't even get the chance to say good-bye. She died, and I couldn't do anything about it. This always seems to happen to me! Why is it that every time someone I love dies? First it was my parents, then Cedric, now Cho, and not to mention the fact that Ron's been kidnapped. I'm just afraid that the next person to go will be you, or someone else I love," Harry said.

"Harry, nothing will happen to me..."

"Can you be sure of that? Can you promise me that nobody can hurt you? No!"

"Harry, please stop it. Can't you see that see that you're making yourself worked up?"

"Shut up Hermione! Just shut up!"

"Why don't you shut up Potter? Can't you see that you're hurting her feelings," Malfoy said from the door.

"You shut up Malfoy!"

"Make me."

"Why are you suddenly protecting her Malfoy?"

"Because I suddenly realized something Potter, that even if I didn't, I would still be better than you. Here you are, dissing one of your best friends. Your stooping low Potter, lower than me. So I thought that if I did something it would be quite amusing watching your reaction. Which, by the way, is."

"You bastard! You think that just because I'm upset, you can take advantage of me and my friends!"

"Shut up Potter. If you have a problem with me, settle it yourself."

"I think I will!"

"Bring it on Potter!"

And with that both boys leapt towards each other. They collided with each other and grabbed hold of each other's hair and pulled back. Their yells erupted inside the hospital room. Everyone woke and saw Malfoy and Potter going at it. They both were wrestling on the floor and trying to strangle the other. Every one started to yell at them. The two boys started crashing into beds and tables. Their faces were getting cut and scraped. They were getting scrapes, cuts, and with them ramming in to metal tables, they were becoming bloody. Their hair was a bloody matter, from their own and each other's. It was only a few minutes before teachers came rushing in. before they managed to separate the two boys, the teachers were pushed into the beds a few times themselves.

When they finally got the two boys separated blood was everywhere. People were hysteric, and everyone was shaking, most from fear, a few from rage. Madam Pomfrey hurried over an examined them. When she pronounced them okay, they were marched to the headmaster's office. They were quite a sight, marching up there with blood everywhere.

When they reached the gargoyle. Harry was scared at the way that he looked like. The look on Dumbledore's face as he stared down on the two boys was more terrible than Harry thought it could ever be. There was no smile on his face, no twinkle in the eyes behind the spectacles. There was cold fury in every line of his ancient face; a sense of power radiated from him that Harry never thought he would see again. He took both boys by the arm and pulled them into his office. He sat them down with such force that it surprised Draco.

"So," Dumbledore started, "you thought you could get in a fight, and get away with it? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't expel you right now."

"Because," a voice said from the door, "You don't have the guts."

Harry and Draco looked at the door; Myra was standing in the door with a serious expression that surprised everyone, "Myra!" Harry said, "What are you doing here?"

"I want you to leave Miss. Heartrose. This is none of your business," Dumbledore said.

"Why? So you can expel them? Sure it would make your life a lot easier, but are you willing to do something like that?" she asked.

"What are you talking about Myra?" Dumbledore asked.

Myra held up about a dozen folders, "I know what your doing Professor Dumbledore. Your keeping folders on about dozen students, the biggest one's are on Harry and Draco. You clearly state in the beginning that your life would be a lot easier if Draco and Harry were gone," Myra said.

"How did you get those? They..." Dumbledore started.

"I broke in of course. I've been doing it for most of my life. You see, my babysitter use to lock me in the closet and I had to get out on my own. I learned quickly how to get through a locking charm without using a single spell. Your office was a snap; all I had to get was the password, which you gave me. I managed to break in here and out again in less that five minutes," Myra said.

"It only... I'm very disappointed in you Miss. Heartrose," he said.

"But..."

"Tell me one good reason why I shouldn't expel you too," Dumbledore spat.

"You would...because, you would never do something so stupid. It also wouldn't make any difference, considering the fact that I... never mind, I just think it would be very stupid of you," she said.

"I don't know why I shouldn't snap your wand in half right now," he said.

"Even if you do, it wont change anything. You know that," she said.

"You're right. This time I'll let you off easy. Detention for a month, and fifty points from each of your houses," Dumbledore said.

The three teens nodded in agreement.

"And Myra? I want to talk to you tomorrow. Is that okay?"

Myra nodded a turned to leave. Harry, Draco, and Myra left the room, and headed out to the hall.

"What the bloody hell was that all about?" Harry demanded.

"I'll tell you one day. But Harry, do not get in a fight with Draco, the same goes for you Draco. You get lucky this time. It won't happen again," Myra said and walked away. Draco and Harry watched her walk away.

"She has an attitude problem," Draco said.

"I think she's just stressed. That happens to me," Harry said.

"You're probably right. I'll see you later Potter," he said.

"You too, Malfoy," Harry said. The two boys walked down separate hallways. Harry walked to the Gryffindor common room, were Hermione and the rest of the team sitting on the couches and chairs.

"Harry! You're okay! I was so worried about you! How much trouble are you in?" Hermione asked the minute she saw him.

"I'm fine. I got detention for a month and fifty points taken from Gryffindor. Why is everyone here?" he asked.

"McGonagall told us to meet here. We think it has something to do with you or Ron," Fred said.

"Well, I'm glad you're all here. Please, take a seat Potter," McGonagall said from the doorway. Harry, Hermione, and the team settled down and Harry sat down.

"First of all I'm very disappointed that you didn't tell me that Ron Weasley disappeared..." the professor started.

"Professor, the last time we saw Ron, he was with a student and they went off to study," Hermione lied to the professor and the rest of the team nodded in agreement.

"Very well. We found Mr. Weasleys body in the woods. When you are ready you may come down and see him when you are ready," she said.

"Professor, he isn't dead, is he?" Ginny choked out.

"Of course not, he's just badly hurt," Professor McGonagall said and left the room. Everyone looked at Myra when the professor had left.

"You said she wouldn't kill him, you said he would safe. You lied you bitch! I can't believe I ever trusted you!" Harry yelled at Myra. All of the team glared at Myra, and left her. Hermione was the last one there.

"Are you going to yell at me to Hermione?"

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't."

"I have no reason Hermione. Go ahead yell at me. Turn your back on me like every other person in my pathetic life. I don't care."

"Fine, I will, but Harry pretty much said it all. I never want you to come close to anyone again, I swear, or you will wish you were dead!" and with that Hermione stormed out of the room.

"There is nothing you can do to make me wish I was dead. I already do. If you only knew the truth about me, you would understand. But no one would understand. No one."

Myra walked out of the common room and towards the hospital wing. She waited outside until the team and Hermione left. She slipped inside and saw Ron lying on a bed. He looked incredibly bad. He had scrapes, cuts, and blood everywhere. She went over and sat down by Ron.

"Myra," he whispered, "is that you?"

"Yes," she whispered, "yes Ron, it's me."

"They said," he whispered, "that this is all your fault. That you are the reason that I'm here, is that true?"

"It depends," she said, "if it's my fault that I made everyone wait..."

"It's not your fault," he whispered, "it's my fault. No one should blame you. You tried to save me and keep the others safe."

"I need to go Ron," she said "if they find me here they'll 'kill' me."

"I'll set it straight," Ron said, "I promise. I'll do everything I can to make them believe me."

"I know Ron," she said, "bye. I'll come back soon."

Myra walked out and right into Drake. Seeing him took her by surprise and she let out a small yelp.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Myra asked with pure rage.

"I'm here to see Ron like everyone else in the whole school," he answered with a cold voice.

"What if he doesn't want to see you?" she asked.

"I'm sure he does. You see he is the only person who knows who I am," Drake said.

"If you hurt him, I will personally kill you myself," Myra threatened.

Drake shrugged, "I won't hurt him. And Myra, you really should go see Draco. He is about to get himself in trouble, and you're the only person who can 'rescue' him." Myra glared at him and walked away. Drake smiled at her retreating back. He walked in and found Ron sitting up in bed, waiting for him.

"It's about time you got here 'Drake'. We have a lot to talk about," Ron said.

"Why should I tell you anything?" Drake snapped.

"Because I know who you are. And if you don't answer all of my questions, I'll expose you for who you really are... Malfoy," he said.

Myra walked up to the fruit-bowl picture. She tickled the pear and the portrait opened. She stepped inside, and was greeted by house-elves. She noticed that Draco was sitting in a dark corner. She hurried past the house-elves and over to Draco.

"What are you doing here Malfoy?" she asked with amusement.

"I'm here, sulking about my stupid life. Trying to hide from people like you who can't seem to keep their nose out of the other peoples business. Why are you here?" he asked.

"I'm here, sulking about my stupid life. Trying to hide from the people who called themselves my friends. You see, if they see me, they'll kill me and then I won't have a stupid life to sulk about," Myra said.

"It looks like we have no one else to turn to right now," he said.

"That's the truth. Hey Draco, do you want to go flying with me. Flying seems to make everything else just go away," she suggested.

"Good idea, let's go!" Draco said and grabbed her arm. They ran down towards the Quidditch pitch, and went to their separate broom closets, grabbed their brooms, and flew into the air. By the time both of them were in the air and by each other they were laughing so hard their sides hurt.

"Draco," Myra gasped, "do you remember what I said to you on the fist day we met?"

"Yeh," Draco said, "you said something like 'don't try anything'."

"No," she said, "no that."

"You mean when you asked all those questions about Slytherin and Gryffindor?"

"Yeh."

"What about it?"

"What I said is true. Just because we are in opposite houses, doesn't mean we shouldn't be friends. I like you Draco, I really do, and I don't think something as silly as houses should keep us from being friends."

"I agree. But wouldn't people think us strange?"

"They might at first, but we need to get people use to it. Just because someone is from a different house, doesn't mean that they should be sworn enemies."

"I agree. Friends?"

"Friends."

"Now, you said something earlier about having a boyfriend."

"Yes Draco, I did. His name is Danny, and he's a seventh year."

"Okay, I don't want to mess with him."

"That would be a good choice. Hey, is that your team over there?"

"Crap! I forgot we had practice! You better go."

"I cant exactly do that. I really don't have any place to go."

"Good point. Er... go fly to the stands and... well you might not have to do that considering you team is here too."

"I know! Let's go fly into the stands, creep down, and listen to them argue over who gets the field."

"Great idea! Let's go!"

And with that they flew into the stands and dismounted their brooms. The quietly crept down the stairs and listen to what they were saying.

"I don't care is Snape gave you a note," Harry was saying, "we booked the field and we should practice on it first."

"I don't think so," Slytherin's captain was saying, "we got here first, and we're going to practice."

"I see a fist fight coming," Myra whispered, "Do you think we should stop them?"

"No, if we have any luck they will end up killing each other so we don't have to play Quidditch. I hate Quidditch," he whispered.

Myra looked at him funny, "Then why do you play?"

"My father made me play," Draco whispered.

"I don't care what you say!" Harry screamed, "We are playing on this field, right now, and you are not!"

"Guess again Potter!"

"Your deadly wrong about this! If you don't leave, I swear I will kill you!"

"Bring it on Potter! I'm not afraid of you!"

And with that the two boys leapt at each other and started to punch each other. The rest of the people did the same. Soon a full fledge fistfight was going on.

"I don't think we could stop them now, even if we tried," Myra said.

"I agree. Oh look, here come the teachers. What do we do now?"

"Get the hell out of here."

"I like your logic."

They climbed back up the stairs and hurried up to were the teachers sat and stayed up there, listening to the fight below.

"I remember Hermione telling me stories about this place. She said that in your fist year she set fire to Snape's cloak because she thought he was trying to kill Harry. It turned out Snape was trying to save Harry and it was Quirrell who was trying to kill him," Myra said.

"Granger did that? Cool! I never thought she had the guts to do that," Draco said. Myra and Draco watched as the two teams were led away. They slowly climbed down the stairs and went back to their broom closets. Carefully putting their brooms away, they hurried back to the castle.

"See you around Myra," Draco said.

"You to Draco, oh and don't forget that we never saw each other," Myra said. Draco smiled and hurried off. He was passing through the dungeons when Snape stepped out of one.

"Mister Malfoy, I've been looking for you. Where were you when the fight between Gryffindor and Slytherin broke out?" Snape asked.

"I was looking for the team, I was trying to confirm the time of our practice but I couldn't find anyone, so then I went down to Madam Hooch's office, and I saw that Gryffindor has practice today, so I got really confused and came down here to look for the team," Draco lied.

"I see. Very well, the match tomorrow has been postponed. You may continue Mister Malfoy," Snape said.

Draco nodded and continued on his way. The minute he had turned a corner he gave out a huge sigh of relief. For a moment there he had thought he was a goner. He seriously didn't like Snape when he was in a bad mood.

Draco walked to his room and flopped down on the bed. He stared at the ceiling for a long time.

"You know," a voice said from beside him, "you really look like you could use a back massage." Draco turned and looked right into Kara's face.

"You had to do what?" she hissed.

"Attack the young man. I know, my lady, that we are not suppose to hurt anyone, but she was getting distracted," Sean said.

"I see," she said, "very well. We must get the girl at all costs."

"My lady," a servant girl said and bowed, "the Dark Lord is here."
