Harry Potter and the Dangerous Choice

Life is all about choice, and Harry Potter has faced difficult choices each year at Hogwarts. His sixth year will be extremely challenging with the rise of Voldemort. The Dark Lord will bring his own brand of terror to the very gates of Hogwarts. Harry has to decide to take up the responsibility created by the prophecy or to ignore it. Those who love him must decide how to prepare him for his future. Will he be able to kill when the time comes? Secrets, lies, betrayal and death become part of Harry’s world. But, as always, Harry’s spirit carries him along the path that he alone has chosen.

Chapter two is all about houses. Harry gets a nasty surprise when he returns home and he gets an unexpected surprise later that night.

Harry is now safe at headquarters but the forces of Voldemort are everywhere planting the seeds of chaos and confusion. Harry visits his aunt in St. Mungo’s and the Weasleys face a challenge to family loyalty. Fred and George provide comic relief as ever.

Harry begins to realize that wizarding families are being targeted by the Death Eaters. There is a birthday party but it does not go as well as planned. O.W.L. grades arrive and Harry gets a preview of what his school year will be like.

Harry returns to Hogwarts under tight security. This time, it’s not only him who is being guarded. Dumbledore introduces a new Defense Against The Dark Arts professor. The Sorting Hat has a new song. Harry hears what extra lessons Dumbledore has planned for him, and also, gets the answer to his life time Quidditch ban.

Harry senses an attack and wizard families are hurt by dementors. Harry has his first lesson with Professor MacNessa in Apparition

The Gryffindorr house team is chosen. Harry struggles with Occlumency, and Snape and Mac square off. The stress of a crisis makes Hermione begin to realize that she and Ron are more than friends.

Harry puts his newly found skills to the test and he finally looks at one of his birthday gifts. Dumbledore takes him to Diagon Alley to hear his godfathers will which includes something Harry did not anticipate.

Harry reads and old letter written by his mother to Sirius on the day of her death. An old Order signal tips Harry off to an un-anticipated discovery. Voldemort’s followers take advantage of an opportunity to continue their reign of terror.

Harry and the Hogwarts students experience a devastating attack. After a private meeting with Mac, Harry gets an opportunity that he didn’t expect. The Ministry of Magic teeters on the brink of disarray. Ron and Hermione…well…that would be telling!

The prophecy is in danger and so is Harry, as he goes to Grimmauld Place for Christmas and comes to a decision.

Following Harry’s flight from Grimmauld Place and his decision to return, he is taken to a hidden library where he learns about a different kind of magic. R/H, H/G

Harry returns to school after hearing some new information about his birth. It's a rough few weeks, as his feelings for Ginny come to the surface, and one of his best friends is badly injured. Harry must try to keep up the spirits of the ones he loves, even as more dark secrets are revealed to him. H/G R/H

Something To Live For - Harry gets to do more than just dream about Ginny Weasley. Not wanting to burden his best friends with his ever increasing list of secrets, finally finds the right someone, to listen. Ron’s life has been altered by the accident that also claimed Percy’s life, bringing some strong insecurities to the surface. Dumbledore seems to see a ray of hope as Harry’s new ability is tested.

Harry has his potions test with an outcome he didn’t expect. He has a chance to demonstrate the skills he has learned since Christmas but the discussion turns to the third prophecy. While divulging it, Harry shows much more than he intended. An owl bearing gifts gives Harry another in-sight into the past. (H/G R/H) Rating – PG-13

Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione have some things to work out. Harry has to learn to trust Ginny’s abilities. Ron and Hermione have to decide if they can forgive their friend. Many secrets are disclosed and some omens of coming evil are ignored. (H/G) (R/H) Rating-PG13

Harry has been kidnapped by the death eaters, betrayed by people within the school. Can Harry survive another encounter with Voldemort? There are others counting on him to save their lives.

Harry and Neville escaped St. Mungos alive, but the first person Harry sees when they arrive back at Hogwarts is Severus Snape. Harry can not help seeking retribution.

This is the final chapter of Harry Potter and the Dangerous Choice. Harry has fought several death eaters in the past twenty-four hours, yet the danger is not passed. I plan is devised to keep him safe over the summer, but it is not what Harry expected. Good byes are hard, and Harry and Ginny's goodbye causes Harry to need some advice. H/G
