A Night With Him

The only thing that I can say about Harry Potter is that he is...Harry Potter. Having spent a full night alone with him, I can see how his name can go with so many traits.

It was our 6th year, and I, a transfer from America a year before, had befriended the popular Potter, Weasley, Granger trio. Most people said that I didn't fit. Mainly because I had a few of the traits of a Slytherin; Arrogant, does well in the dark arts, and somewhat faulty wand work for simple spells. But I could not have cared less, for I had friends who respected and trusted me for whom I was...until that night.

Try as we did, we couldn't get out of the forest, or find Ron or Hermione. We had ended up there by one of my most unfortunate spells. I was with the three of them outside of the giant Hagrid's hut. It was a late Saturday afternoon, and after visiting with Hagrid, Ron was convinced that he saw something move at the edge of the forest. We edged closer.

"Wonder what it is," Ron said, sounding curious. Apparently, he must have been extremely curious, for it was common knowledge between most of the 6th years, that he was scared to death of the thought of the forest.

I attempted to light my wand, although it didn't work. I don't want to be here, I thought as I flicked my wand around. I just want to be alone...with Harry. Odd as it may sound, I was slightly attracted to Harry. I had known about him since I was younger, and thought that the odds of meeting him were 1,000,000,000 to 1.

After a few more tries, the wand lit up, but not with a white light, as it should have. The whole wand glowed a blood red as the four of us were engulfed by its luminosity. After an earsplitting crack, I found myself sprawled on the floor of the forest. I lifted myself up and looked above me. When I was outside of the forest, I saw daylight seeping away very slowly. But now, I saw trees. Only trees and no light.

I looked around and I realized that I was in the heart of the Forbidden Forest. I heard a sharp groan from behind me, and I saw Harry over on the ground clutching his chest.

"Harry, are you ok?" I briskly walked over to him and knelt down. "What happened?"

He had trouble speaking, and he seemed out of breath. "I fell from no where and...." He grimaced and clutched his chest even harder. "I...can't breathe...."

Harry tried to sit up, but I gently pushed him back. "Don't. Just relax."

"Where are Ron and Hermione?"

"I don't know Harry. Just stay calm." But the truth was, I was panicking. We were lost, Harry had gotten the wind knocked out of him, we didn't know where the other two were, and...we were lost.

I stood up and tried to see if I could find someone moving in our area. There was no one. I knelt by Harry again. "Can you walk?"

He again tried to get up. This time, I assisted him. It was difficult getting him to his feet, but I was slightly taller and slightly heavier than he was, so I lifted him up.

I had him put his arm around my neck and lean. We began to walk through the forest, past trees and bushes. After about half an hour had passed, I figured that it must be quite dark by now. We walked for nearly an hour looking for Ron, Hermione...anybody. We found no one. Not even an animal, (luckily).

Soon, Harry had to rest. Breaths were coming back to him, but very slowly. He must have done more than get the air knocked out of him. I suspected that he might have fractured a rib.

As he leaned against a tree, I sat next to him. "Your gonna be fine Harry."

He gave a very shallow exhale. "I know. I'm glad I'm not alone."

"Me too."

We sat that way for a few minutes. Thoughts ran through my mind: What happened with my wand? Where was Ron? Where was Hermione? Where are we?

My wand. Where was it? I felt my robes. I couldn't find it. I had probably left it back where we landed. I considered going back and getting it, but the thought of leaving Harry alone was sickening. If something attacked him, he was helpless. He hadn't brought his wand, and running? Forget it. Plus, I could get lost, or eaten.

"Hope we don't run into Aragog." Harry breathed.

"Yeah. That'd bite."

Harry's breathing became very rapid and shallow. I pushed my back off against the tree trunk and grabbed his shoulders. He was shaking; I thought that he was having a seizure. Thankfully, he wasn't. He was cold, scared, and in pain. He was turning paler by the second. "Harry. Harry stay with me. Don't leave me Harry." He had stopped shaking, and he was just shivering. His eyes came back into focus, and he looked into mine. My eyes were full of worry, yet his were full of observation, and curiousness. His breathing became as regular as it had been when he fell.

"Hi." He sounded stoned.

I furrowed my brow slightly. "Hi. You okay?"

He cocked his head a little bit and smiled, "Yeah."

I released his shoulders and sat back. "You sure?"

He nodded and leaned back. He didn't seem himself. I wasn't sure if he had trauma, or if he was just tired. He was still looking at me in a way that made me feel very vulnerable. It wasn't a giddy feeling. It was a dark feeling. He closed his eyes and tried to steady his breathing. He calmed down a lot more over the passing hour.

"Harry, we need to try and get out of here." I wanted to go back so bad.

"No." he said flat out. "No one knows we're here."

"What about Ron and Hermione?"

He shrugged shortly. "They probably got out alright. And if they did, they'll send help."

"And what if they didn't?" I was getting scared of Harry right now.

He looked right into my eyes. "Then they're probably dead." He paused and gave me another dark, observing look. "Either that or they're looking for us and it's best that we stay here..." He put his arm around my shoulders with great difficulty. "Don't you think?"

I tried to edge away. "Harry, stop it."

"Meghan. We're good as dead out here alone anyway. We might as well get to know each other better than before." He moved as best as he could towards me.

I knew that I should have left him and ran away. But I couldn't take my eyes away from him. I wanted him so badly, to be in his arms and kiss his desirable lips.

I stopped moving. He turned his body so that he was full-facing me. I did the same. Our heads moved together slowly. The look in his eyes was a mix of things: sadness, worry...lust. Our lips touched. The kiss was overwhelming. We both leaned into each other. His arms moved around my waist, and he mustered up enough strength to pull my body towards him. I moved my hand up to his neck and over his back.

The rest of the night went along mostly like that. The feeling of Harry's body against mine was unforgettable. His kisses were loving, long and protective. It was true. I loved him, and he loved me.

My hands knew nearly every inch of him, and his nearly every inch of me. The night with him was amazing...

~*~*~*~

Ron and I found Meghan and Harry hours after we had started searching. We found his shirt a few feet away from his body. They were both dead. There were slashes across their chests. We couldn't figure out how both of their shirts had come off. No werewolf could be good enough to take two shirts off of two human beings without tearing them.

It wasn't until we looked closer at the scene, that we realized that they had been quite close when they were killed. Meghan's arm was across Harry's chest and his arm was around her body. It was quite obvious what was going on when they were killed, and though Ron and I miss our friends, we still don't fully understand what happened that night. Why didn't they look for us? And what happened with her wand that made us end up here? We still haven't figured out how love may have left us alone, but Ron and I alone in the woods...that's another story.
