Chapter Two:
First Day of Hogwarts
That night, in the common room, Jade sat down on the soft couch with her sketchpad in her lap. The sun was starting to disappear in the vast sky and then the bright moon took its place quickly. She wasn't alone in the room. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville where sitting around the fireplace, talking to each other about what this year could have in store for them. Harry on the other hand had his gaze upon Jade while she was sketching out a peaceful drawing of an owl taking flight. No one noticed that Harry was staring at her, not even Jade. Harry couldn't help but stare at her beauty. Everything he admired in a girl was in her and that included her personality. He knew that he used to like Cho Chang, but now she's more emotional than ever before. Just while he was walking into his common room, he saw Cho weeping down the hall. He didn't want to deal with something that could cause him pain too. But when he saw Jade, he felt so alive and happy. On the other hand, he also felt nervous and paranoid.
"Harry?" Hermione said, "are you with us? We just asked you what you thought about this Voldemort situation." With that, Neville stood up and left. The name Voldemort only sent a shiver down his spine. So sitting there would only make him even more frightened than he was before.
"Oh...I think it's...not good?" he said, his voice a little uneasy. "I don't know, I just know that what ever he's planning isn't going to be good. I'm sure he has some sort of plan going on now," he whispered to them, making sure no one else could be listening in on them. But it was too late, Jade was all ready eavesdropping in on them from where she was sitting, which wasn't a good distance away.
In the Ravenclaw common room sat Deneé on the floor in front of the fireplace. She could hear Cho Chang's cries on the couch and she only stared at her as if she was crazy. She couldn't take much more of it and she was determined to make her stop, which only meant one thing. To try and help her.
"Are you okay?" Deneé said, sitting next to her. Deneé looked around and saw that she was alone with this girl, wondering why she was in such pain. Cho just shook her head slowly after a few seconds of sobbing.
"No..." she whimpered, but said nothing more. Deneé could tell she was hiding her emotions and she couldn't take much more of it if that meant she would be crying for the remainder of the year.
"C'mon, you can tell me. I don't like seeing you cry like this. You can tell me," and with that comment of comforting, Cho opened up to Deneé and told her about Cedric and how she lost a chance with Harry last year and now she feared for her love life.
After a while when Cho finally stopped her weeping and just stood there, looking at Deneé with blood shot eyes, she said, "I never did tell you my name. I'm Cho Chang and I'd like to thank you." Cho stared at her white, silky hands.
"I'm Deneé LeGalley. But you can call me Nay, I'm new here," she said, smil/p>
Back in the Gryffindor common room, they still were going on about Voldemort as Jade just kept on listening to them. She didn't have to eaves drop anymore. They were now all talking in full force, forgetting that there was one more Gryffindor in the room with her.
"Just to let you know, I'm still in here if that's suppose to be a private conversation. And from the sound of it, it sounds really private to me," she finally blurted out to them. Jade couldn't help but say that to them. She felt so guilty that she was listening in on purpose, but now that she knew too much, she felt a little awkward and afraid, as much as she didn't like to admit it to her self.
"Blimey...sorry. We just got carried away," Ron said, getting up and stretching. "Won't happen again, promise," he said, smiling. Jade nodded and continued to sketch out more drawings, but still talked to them.
"Oh I don't mind listening in. Some useful information I might like to know," she said, "you know, just in case something happens out of the ordinary to me, I just might know why it happened." Jade looked up at them and smiled a peaceful smile. Harry stood up and sat next to Jade.
"So...what are you drawing?" he stated, looking at her drawing. He could tell that it was an owl taking off into the night sky with a beautiful moon soaring up high on it.
"Don't tell me you can't tell. I didn't think I was that bad of an artist," she chuckled out, smiling and looking into his eyes. Harry shook his head quickly; he didn't want to offend her in anyway. Not after what he seen in the great hall between her and Hermione. Suddenly, out of no where before Harry could answer her back, his scar started to sting. He then grabbed his forehead with his hands, squeezing his eyes shut. He could see little bright starts flaring in his eyes, the pain was too unbearable for him. He fell to his knees on the common room floor. Ron and Hermione then ran up to him, sitting next to him.
"Harry? Are you okay?" Ron yelled, trying to help him up. Harry's eyes started to clear and he blinked them open as they watered. Jade stood up, looking a bit frightened and worried of what was going on with him.
"What happened?" she said, going up to him. Harry forced a flimsy smile and tried to act as if nothing was the matter. He quickly sat down before he had another episode like the one he just received.
"Just a headache, nothing serious. It'll go away," Harry stated, trying to sound as convincing as he could. Jade didn't believe him. She knew better than thinking that a headache could cause him such pain that he would stumble onto the floor. The story didn't sound quite convincing to Ron and Hermione as well, who just ignored what he said and sat down on the floor in front of Harry and Jade. Harry sat there as the three of them started to talk about the first day of Hogwarts tomorrow and what they could expect. Jade was very anxious to know what would go on with her first day of Hogwarts. Harry, on the other hand, had other things to think about, mostly about Voldemort. He was tempted to run up stairs to go to the boys dormitory, but he knew that it would look too suspicious and Ron would follow him up the flight of stares to question his leave. Harry all ready knew that Voldemort was back, along with ever other wizard and witch around the wizarding world. The only thing that he could think about was of what he could be planning to do to sabotage Harry, or did he even have a plan just yet? He could still remember the day that he saw Sirius for the last time as if it were yesterday, which also happened to be the day that Dumbledore faced Voldemort. He tried his most not to think of that dreadful day that he lost his godfather, the only father he had that was alive. The Order of the Phoenix was as clueless as Harry was, or so they said. Of course Harry didn't believe them, he knew that they knew more than he did, loads more for that matter. He knew that they were just trying to protect him, just as last year. During the holidays, Harry was gone staying with the Dursley's, there were reports of three wizarding murders and Dumbledore suggested that Harry stayed at the Dursley's for the remainder of the holidays until his return of Hogwarts, which he was glad that he has returned to. None of the murders linked, it was as if Voldemort was setting an example of how powerful and serious he was about over taking the wizarding world and coming after Harry to finally end his days of his life. The only known link was that the wizards that were murder were either Auror's trying to stop him or muggle born wizards. He knew that if he wasn't careful, him or either of his friends could suffer the same fate that the others have, and he couldn't risk that to happen, not now, not ever. And now that he has made a new friend, and hoping for much more, he had another life to worry about.
"Just think about how Snape's reaction is going to be as soon as we walk into that door with a new face that he'll want to hate, aye Harry?" Ron uttered, looking up at Harry, who was now staring into the blazing fire in the fireplace up in front of all four of them. Hermione looked a bit concerned, she knew what he was thinking about, and it wasn't that hard to guess.
"Harry, are you here," she responded quickly with a smile stretched out on her face, trying to cheer up the mood of the common room. Harry finally snapped out of his lucid trance, losing his focus on Voldemort and the deaths of the three wizards during the summer holidays.
"What?" he paused, "oh...right. Why wouldn't he want to hate her? She is a friend of mine now, and of course, any friend of mine must be thrown into a hot, bubbling cauldron full of acids and poisons." Jade looked a bit confused of his remark and tried her best not to laugh, but it was quite hard not to laugh while the rest of the three at lease let out a chuckle.
"What? So are you saying he's going to eat me alive?" she smiled at him. "I usually don't get on the professors bad side. I'm always quiet in class, always minding my own business," she added on. Harry and the rest only looked up at her and smiled.
"Oh, well you might as well be as loud as you want in his class. He wouldn't care if you were a princess or what ever. Any friend of Harry is his enemy. But actually, any Gryffindor is his enemy too. So either way, you're screwed. Just like the rest of us," Hermione retorted, trying her best not to offend Jade in any way possible.
"Yeah, so you just better be prepared. He's going to give us a hell of a bad time in that class and he wont treat you any different," Ron sneered, getting shivers when he thought about Snape's horrid class he would be in. "And of course I'm going to have him, along with Harry and Hermione here," he said bluntly, trying his best to sound as happy as he could.
"So I guess that counts me in too," she let out.
"Then that makes the four of us," Hermione said. The talking went on for about a few more hours and then all of them decided to get to bed so they wouldn't be late to their first class. Of course that wouldn't be a good first impression for Jade, especially if it was for Snape's class.
The moon was up in the dark sky, sending down illuminated light down at the lake, making it look eerier than it usually does. In the Ravenclaw common room sat a girl on the couch, staring into the fire while holding her journal.
"Dear journal..." Nay said, as she tried to think of something to write down while looking into the blazing fire. "...What do I want to say?" she whispered to her self. Nay had been on the couch for a while all ready, wondering what to write down on her journal. She knew she wanted to write about what she thought tomorrow would be like, but she couldn't quite get her self up to it. Nay laid her journal on the coffee table in front of the couch and walked slowly to the window and opened it, letting a cool breeze of air run through her short, dirty blonde hair as she closed her eyes to enjoy every blissful moment of it. Nay was a beater and because of that she loved to fly and loved the feeling of cool wind blowing up against her and through her hair. She then took out her wand, pointing it at a chair, and then magically it dragged to her, putting it self against the wall to the window. Nay then sat down on it, her head outside of the window, staring at the moon and stars shining down at her. A beautiful smile illuminated her face like an angel; the stars twinkled up from above like magic, like nothing she's seen before. With out her notice, a sixth year Ravenclaw boy was walking down the flight of stairs quietly to the common room, ruffling up his hair with his fingers. He had on blue and black platted pajama bottoms hanging on his hips and no shirt on to add to that. His eyes were scanning the common room, looking for a glass of warm milk hoping that it would help him go to sleep. Nay heard someone's footsteps behind her. Letting her curiosity get the best of her, she turned her head to gaze at whom ever was awake at this hour. She only thought she was awake at this time and no other life around in the Ravenclaw tower. But what shocked her more was of who it was; she didn't know his name, but she didn't care at the moment. She couldn't think or speak or even move for that matter. But who she saw was tall, dark, long hair down to the lower end of his ears, deep, blue eyes, and had handsome written all over him! She didn't dare to speak up; she didn't have the guts to anyway. The boy who was awake, and now pouring him self a glass of all ready warmed milk was named Gabriel, but most called him Gabe, and some others, who were the females of course, called him Gabie, but that was usually his fan club. Since Cedric died, he took over the Ravenclaw team, becoming seeker. Then again, Gabe and Cedric were related in some sort of way. Cedric was Gabe's second cousin, so you could see why he was handsome as well.
Gabe looked through the corner of his deep, blue eyes and saw Nay staring at him. Of course, she didn't notice that he laid his gaze upon her, but then again, it was a blessing for her if he even noticed her sitting there. Gabe put his half-empty cup of warmed milk down and started to pour some more in another cup. "I'm sorry, did you want some?" he said, walking towards her, holding a cup of freshly poured warm milk. He then let out a soft laugh, "of course you did. I'm sure you would want to be sleeping right now too anyway." Nay couldn't believe that he was talking to her. He was like a god sent down from the heavens above her simple head.
"Are you talking to m-me?" she stuttered out, laying a hand on her chest. Gabe at first looked a little confused at her reaction, but he soon figured out why this was her reaction. It wasn't the first time girls got nerve racking and a loss of mind around him. He tried his best to ignore her reactions and just nodded.
"Well I don't see anyone else around here, aye?" he smirked, "are you new here? I never seen you around Hogwarts until now." Nay let out a smile and took the glass of milk, sipping at it. Gabe couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was her self. She had short, dirty blonde hair, soft brown eyes, and short and thin. He couldn't deny that he was attracted to her.
"Yeah, I'm from the Americas. My parents got a job offer as Auror's here in the Ministry of Magic. So of course they took this 'great chance to have a better job and a better education for little muffin'. But yeah, I'm a newbie," she replied back to him.
The night started to end soon and they both learned a bit of their selves. But most of all, now she knew when try outs were for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team was, and better yet, they needed a new beaters, a great chance to show what she had in store.
The sun started to rise as everyone in Gryffindor were going haywire, looking for his or her belongings.
"Oh no...Hermione, have you seen my book bag? It has all of my books in there," Jade said, crawling under her bed searching for her lost book bag. Hermione was all ready dress and on her bed, waiting for Jade with Genny.
"It's on your bed Jade," Hermione stated blankly, trying her best not to be humored by how nervous she was. Genny on the other hand just let it all out and started to chuckle.
"Look, don't worry. You'll be fine. It's just Hogwarts, nothing bad ever happens unless you count the attacks of Voldemort. But that's not new around here," Genny responded, leaping off the bed and walking towards Jade. Genny placed a comforting hand on Jade's back.
"Yeah well, you're not the new one here," she sighed, "and I still have to get dressed, ugh!" Jade grabbed her clothes and started to pull them on quickly, trying her best not to waist time. Jade ran to her wardrobe mirror and started to brush her hair with all her might, fixing her curls and applying her make up. "I have a bad feeling about today," she paused, "how do I know that today is going to be a catastrophe?"
Hermione walked up to Jade, "because you're nervous about your first day of Hogwarts. Look, Harry, Ron, and I have all classes with you. Just stick with us and you'll be fine." Hermione sat back down on a chair next to Jade, giving her a comforting smile. Jade finally finished up, walked to her bed and grabbed her book bag.
"Yeah, you're right. But I'm ready now, shall we go down to the great hall?" Jade uttered, trying to sound as lively and happy as possible. Though, her insides were twisting and turning while her outside only showed a quite convincing smile. Ron and Harry were all ready at the table eating their breakfast while talking to Fred and George about their joke shop, which I might add, is going smoothly. Harry was playing with his food, even though Hogwarts was his home, we was as nervous as Jade was. Mostly because he wondered who his new defense against the dark arts teacher was and Snape. Just thinking of what could go wrong today made him shiver in fear.
"We're finally here," Genny bellowed, seating her self next to her brother, Fred. Harry looked up to see Jade sitting next to him with a great smile upon her face. Harry's mouth flapped open as he stared at how beautiful she looked today. To Harry it seemed as if she got even more beautiful each and every day he saw her, even if this was the second day. Ron caught gaze of how Harry looked at her and then elbowed him quickly before he let out his cover in front of her.
"OWE!" he yelled, hitting Ron back. "What was that for?" he said, looking at Ron.
Ron was now rubbing his arm, giving Harry an evil look. "For your information, I was trying to make you stop looking at Jade like that. Do you want her to know that you like her?" he whispered quickly into Harry's face, who now showed that he understood and thanked Ron profoundly. They all ate their breakfast, which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Though Harry noticed that Jade wasn't eating a thing. But he couldn't blame her. He was the same way when before his first Quidditch game at his first year here.
Get a grip on your self, Jade. Everything's going to be all right. Dammit, why did you try to convince Viktor to send you to a different school? Especially here! How can you compete with these people here? The only good thing about it is the new friends you've made, she thought to her self, as she played with her eggs.
They all started to walk to Professor McGonagall's class. Harry could still remember the first time he went to that class and that day he was late too. He looked over to Jade, whom seemed to look nervous. Jade couldn't help but be nervous, she didn't want to do anything stupid in class to make a fool of her self. Every step she took, she thought of all the possibilities of making a good impression in class. Though it seemed very unlikely, she had to keep a positive opinion over it or she would give a bad example of how a Gryffindor is suppose to be.
"This is it," Hermione said, walking through the door as the others followed to a near by table in the back. To their unfortunate luck, they had the Slytherins in their class this year. Thought they should all be used to them by now, Harry couldn't help but feel regretful about it. Jade looked at the front of the class and saw the same exact woman who called out her name at the first day here of Hogwarts. She wore dark green robes and her hair in a bun. Her eyes scanned the class quickly, her stern face didn't change one bit. Jade swallowed and tried to stop tapping her foot on the floor as Professor McGonagall walked around the class room, walking by Jade, looking at her.
"Don't worry. Just as long as you don't disrespect her, you'll be fine," Ron said, elbowing Jade in the side softly. Jade only responded by giving a nod and a little whimper, which was suppose to come out as a yes. During the remainder of the class, Professor McGonagall was talking about what would go on in the future and what she would expect of the class. Not once did she call on Jade during the time, and Jade was glad of it too. For the rest of the day, they took Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, and of course, the worst class they could possibly have, Potions. Defense Against the Dark Arts wasn't until tomorrow, along with the other classes that they had to take. All four of them started walking down the halls towards the dungeon, where Snape taught his classes. Even Jade could sense something eerie about that class and she knew that the others didn't like Professor Snape anyhow.
"So, got any pointers here?" she whispered out to Harry, as she started to seat her self at a table in between Harry and Ron. She stared around at the dungeon. There was nothing particularly wrong about it, but she knew by the looks of it that this teacher must really have a bad temper. Suddenly, the door slammed shut, a tall and thin man with greasy long black hair and a hooked greasy nose came in, eyeballing all of the Gryffindor's in disgust and set his eyes down on Jade, giving even more of a sneer. Before Ron or the others could answer her plea of help, Snape had already stood his self in front of Jade, his greasy hooked nose peering down at her.
"Well, well, well," he paused, "what do we have here? Another one of Potters little trouble making friends?" Jade only kept staring up at him, her mouth slightly hanging open. Her eyes were gazing at Professor Snape's extremely hooked nose in awe; she wasn't really paying too much attention to what she was saying. "Well, I suppose I will take that as a yes. Now, what's your name girl?" he murmured quickly to her. Jade didn't answer quickly; her eyes were still gazing at his strange and evil appearance. Somehow, she couldn't take her gaze off of his hooked nose that seemed to wink at her, trying to get her attention.
"...How did it get so hooked and greasy?" she soon whispered out, loud enough for the whole class to hear. It was as if she had no clue what she was saying, and to tell the truth, she didn't have a clue what she was saying until she heard near by gasps of Hermione and other Gryffindor's and Slytherins sitting around her. Snape's lips were now curled tightly, trying his best not to let out his anger. Jade then knew at that moment that she would not be a class favorite in that class, she was now a true part of the clan of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "I mean..." she quickly said, trying her best to get her words out before she caused even more trouble. She kept on stuttering, looking around on her desk, her chest heaving in and out and her heart pounding against her chest heavily. "I'm Jade. Jade Lenore," she finally spat out, trying her best not to look up at Snape's face, which was all ready a dark shade of red. His eyes bulged out a bit at her and then he finally let out a tiny smirk, though she couldn't help but see that it was more of a smirk of misfortune.
"Well...Lenore. You think it's funny to talk back to a teacher, aye?" he said quite promptly. Jade looked up at him, her eyes wide and her eye brows arched, she looked taken aback and she knew that the rest of his words wouldn't be near as good as the first he spoke.
"No! I-I-I was just..." she paused. Now she didn't have any thing else to say. She didn't mean to offend him in any way possible, but what else could she say? Obviously she said enough, Professor Snape didn't seem like he wanted her to speak any more by the expression she showed on his face. "It's not like that Professor! I didn't mean to say that. You took it the wrong way, sir!" she soon said out, gasping for air.
"And in what way was I meant to take this Lenore?" he replied to her, his back now turned to the class. "I will be fortunate to you Lenore, since this is the first day of your first year to attend Hogwarts. You are from Durmstrang, so there for you know how our discipline goes around here. Thought are discipline system may not be as strict as yours may, you will mind them," he paused, facing the class once more, his eyes looking down at Jade. "I will take twenty points from Gryffindor as of now. But any more out bursts like that Ms. Lenore, and you will be getting more punishment than that," he said, now walking towards his desk, standing next to it. Jade looked around and then sank lightly into her chair; she could hear all the whispers from Gryffindor and all the silent sneers of hatred from Slytherin. Harry, Ron and Hermione looked at her, trying to comfort her.
"If it helps any mate, I've done a lot worse here before," he said to her, now walking down the halls with her to dinner. Harry and Hermione were walking behind, talking to each other in silence.
"Thanks Ron, but did you manage to get him to punish you on the first day?" Jade retorted back, finding a seat at the Gryffindor table, laying her books down on the floor. Ron sat next to her, running his fingers through his red hair, thinking for a bit and then shook his head almost immediately.
"No mate, I don't think I have," he said almost bluntly. He then caught the expression of Jade's face, which looked a bit rabid and an expression of disbelief. "Well I could be wrong! I don't have good memory y'know!" he said instantly, not wanting to make her feel even worse than she was. She pulled out her fork and started to poke at her pork chops.
"I don't think I'm that hungry after Potions today. That man kind of made me lose my appetite and I have a bad feeling that none of the Gryffindor's like me as much now, not that they ever have," she whispered to him, catching gazes from Seamus and Neville. Harry and Hermione were still walking slowly together in the halls, the halls now emptying.
"Well, what did you think of our last lesson? D'you think Professor Snape likes Jade?" she said, almost chuckling them out. "Well, it's safe to say that she really is one of us and that she did notice his rather greasy and hooked nose, aye?" she added on. Harry nodded, not saying much. He was looking on to the ground, thinking about his scar hurting the day before. He wondered if it meant that Voldemort was getting stronger than before. Or was this just a warning that he was near by? Or is it a plea of warning that something terrible could happen in the future? Harry was very curious now. He wanted to figure out what it meant but he didn't want to go to Dumbledore just because his scar gave a little twitch and sting every now and then. Even though yesterdays was a bit more serious than before. "Harry, are you all right?" Hermione said, stopping in the middle of the vast hall, staring at him.
Harry finally snapped out of his trance as soon as he heard Hermione's voice dawn into his mind. "Oh...yeah sorry," he paused, "I was just thinking. That's all." Hermione looked even more concern than before. She knew what it had to do with, she wasn't entirely ignorant. She isn't ignorant one bit of course, so she had to question him.
"Harry, is this about your scar hurting yesterday?" she asked. He didn't look straight at her, but to the floor and then tried to think of something to say to her. Harry knew he couldn't lie to her, she was too smart to take in a lie from him. Of course it was obvious to her that his scar was hurting him yesterday. She wouldn't believe that he really did have a headache that painful.
"Yeah, it is. I guess it was obvious that it was hurting. I just didn't want to expose it to Jade. I don't need another person to be in danger, its bad enough that you and Ron are. But it's nothing; I was just wondering why it's finally hurting now. During the holidays it really wasn't, but now its just starting all over again," he paused, "a bit odd, don't you think?" Hermione stared at him and then nodded. She didn't know what to say. Maybe he should go report this to Dumbledore? Or should he keep this quiet? They both thought in their head that maybe even Dumbledore wouldn't have an answer, or maybe he would just tell him to be calm and that it would be normal. They both started to head towards the great hall again, not wanting to miss one of Hogwarts famous feasts.
Deneé sat down at the Ravenclaw table, sitting alone as usual. She would join the Weasley twins, but of course, they were in another house. So there she sat, watching everyone communicate with each other except her. She felt like such an outcast, like she wasn't wanted. Even though a part of her told here it wasn't true and that she should be calm and wait, she still couldn't help but feel like a loner. She remembered when she was back in America in her school in Texas that she was never an outcast but always had friends hanging around her and guys drooling when they saw her walk by. But here was a different story, it was more like she was drooling as Gabe walked by instead. Deneé stl hadn't seen him yet, but she was looking forward to see him. Of course she would probably say nothing since every time she tries to talk to him, only strange noises come out of her mouth and he would just laugh. Even if they were just laughs of embarrassment to him too, it made her feel a bit odd and more of an outcast. She poked at her pork chops and sighed. But then something remarkable happened, someone sat next to her. Someone tall, well built and had a handsome smile upon their flawless face. It was Gabe to her surprise, she didn't expect to see him in such short notice. Deneé quickly flashed a great smile at him, exposing her glimmering white teeth.
"I saw you sitting alone and I thought I'd just give you some company," he replied, "that is if you don't mind." Deneé couldn't help but nod her head and giggle. She still held that great smile and couldn't stop but stare at him. Deneé yearned to say something to him, to start a conversation, but nothing seemed to want to get out of her mouth. Her heart was beating and she started to breathe heavily. But before he noticed, she took a quick drink out of her butter beer to calm her down.
"No, I don't mind at all. I was hoping for some company any way," she finally said out to him, a feeling of relief starting to form in her chest. Gabe looked down to her and smiled, taking a drink of his butter beer to. Deneé felt like jumping out of her seat and screaming at the top of her lungs for actually saying something to him. She felt as if she should be rewarded for her bravery.
"Yeah, I remember my first year here. I didn't know anyone. But as the years went by, I started to make friends from left and right. Even a girl friend to my surprise," he said, smiling. Deneé then looked a little shocked. She never knew he had a girlfriend! The room now seemed to start spinning in circles around her. She started to dream out that people from the Ravenclaw table were now pointing and laughing at her for thinking she ever had a chance to be with Gabe.
"Oh...a girlfriend?" she squeaked out, "I never knew that. So who's the lucky girl?" Nay couldn't believe she was asking all of this. She hoped that he couldn't sense her jealousy in her voice.
"Well," he paused suddenly, "here she is now!" He got up and hugged and gave a kiss to a very attractive girl with long blonde hair and beautiful green eyes. She could see how she got Gabe. She was beautiful in every way possible. Her brilliant green eyes, her blond hair swaying behind her and her tall and lean figure was perfect for him.
"Hello, so you're the lucky girl, huh?" Deneé beamed out, trying her best to hideer emotions. The girl sat down next to Gabe, smiling and nodding as she giggled and held Gabe's hand tightly.
As the time went by during dinner at the great hall, Deneé couldn't help but feel a little silly and hurt for ever thinking she had a chance to get Gabe, who seemed to be almost perfect. She then learned that before he was the seeker, he was a chaser, but it seemed that he was better at being a seeker, even better than Cho. Whom was once again a seventh year, since she missed out on her exams in the end and who was also moved down to a chaser.
