DEAD LOVE

You really have to feel the pain

It hurts when your emotions are slain

Your heart is now broken, no more does it live

No more love, with care to give

He chewed it up, then spat it out

And didn't listen to your cries or see your pout

To heal yourself, you need to move on

He can find himself another pawn

He killed you emotionally, now you're above

And it truly does hurt, to have a dead love

Hermione sighed, and looked at the poem. Recently, poetry had been the way to express her feelings. Ron--(*coughSLIMYBASTARDcough*)--had, she found out, been cheating on her. What's worse--with her ARCH NEMESIS (no, not Draco you sickos)--Kathryn Wire. Fat wench went as far as she dared to get Hermione into trouble--though she never succeeded.

"Dead love?" said a voice behind Hermione. She jumped and turned to see Ginny and Luna.

"May I see it?" asked Luna, her voice not dreamy, but full of worry.

"S-sure, I guess..." said Hermione, handing it to her. Luna took the poem and read.

" 'You really have to feel the pain...it hurts when your emotions are slain...your heart is broken, no more does it live...'" Luna stopped. "Hermione...this is really good. I love it, and hate the idiot who did this to you. But...who did do this to you?"

"Ron," said Ginny.

"Ronald?" questioned Luna. "Your brother?"

"WHO?!" snapped Ginny. "I don't have a brother named Ron--I have no clue what you are talking about, Luna."

"Oh...the old 'I-don't-have-a-relative-by-that-name' trick again?" said Luna. "I don't blame you. What we need is..."

"REVENGE!" said the two girls at once.

"No," sniffed Hermione. "I don't want revenge...just a new love...a living love."

Luna and Ginny shared a "She-wants-to-be-left-alone-to-drown-in-her-sorrow-poor-thing" look and went to get dinner.

Hermione stared out of the Common Room window, watching Ron on his broom...wishing he'd fall off, and feel pain. Though it wouldn't be near the pain she was feeling, it would be satisfactory. She sniffed once more and went upstairs to go to sleep.

Harry stared at Hermione again, writing away furiously in her notebook.

Another poem, he thought. Poor 'Mione...she doesn't deserve this pain. If only I could comfort her, I would. I hate to see her like this. Oh Merlin! Am I falling for her? If I am...I'm not going to fight it.

"Hey, mate," said Ron--(*coughSLIMYBASTARDcough*)--walking into the Common Room.

"Who are you again?" snapped Harry.

"Mate, hello!" said Ron. "It's me...Ron."

"I don't have a friend named Ron," said Harry. "I used to. But he broke my friends heart."

"C'mon...I bet Hermione's over it," said Ron. "Watch. Hey, Hermione!"

Hermione looked up and glared.

"I don't want to talk to you--by mail, mouth, or phone," she said. "I would like it if you'd just leave me alone."

"Nice couplet," said Parvati. "You have a way with poetry."

"Thanks," said Hermione.

She then got up and left. Harry followed.

"Uh...Hermione?" he said when they reached the Great Hall doors. Hermione turned around, but smiled when she saw it was Harry.

"Yeah?" she asked, staring at him. Harry grinned nervously.

"I think...I love you," he said. Hermione smiled widely.

"I think I love you, too," she said. Then they kissed. It was short, only lasted about three seconds, but it would always be there.

I don't need Ron, thought Hermione. I have Harry.

IN A CIRCLE

When you meet someone you love

That person is like a white dove

Pure, innocent, kind, and sweet

A love like this is hard to beat

So, when you fall in love, don't put their name in a heart

Because it can be easily broken apart

Instead, put it in a circle, that goes on forever

Because a circle means you'll always be together!
