Author's Note:
I wrote this about one of my RPG characters. I made her up myself and I thought it might make a good fic.

Liana Porter walked along the small lake that lay on her families land. She had just finished her seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The day was overcast and shadows played along the shoreline. She walked under a familiar willow tree tracing the carving of L.P loves T.R. She remembered putting it there when she was eleven, just out of her first year at Hogwarts. She was waiting for T.R. to show up now. She knew he had a long drive but he had started yesterday, he should be here by now.

"Hello, Li," she heard his voice from behind her. She turned, letting her honey-blonde hair fly around her face as she moved. She smiled back at him then ran to be enveloped in his arms.

"I missed you, Tom," Liana told him, hugging him tightly.

"It's only been a day," Tom responded.

"Well, it was too long," Liana retorted.

"I missed you, too," he replied pulling back from her so that their lips could meet. He pulled back, looking out across the lake. Liana moved closer to him resting her head on his chest. He put his chin on top of her head. "You know this can't last," he remarked icily.

"What?" Liana asked, pushing back from him, confused.

"You know what I'm talking about, Liana," he said, his hazel eyes turning to ice. "Us," he said again. Liana stood their stupidly, not knowing what to do. She thought it was working just fine. He had told her that he loved her. They had been together since the beginning of their sixth year. What was wrong with us?

"What are you talking about? Why?" Liana asked, tears springing to her eyes. She didn't know what was wrong with Tom. He was acting weird. He had always been sweet. He had been the one to hold her after she found out that her best friend was killed by some creature at Hogwarts. Poor Myrtle, she felt her heart twist as she thought about how cold her body had been. He had always been there for her.

"Liana, Liana, Liana," he said mockingly, rolling her name like it was filth. She felt her heart breaking. "I feel really bad about losing such a pretty face," he said cupping her cheek. "The sex was good too," he said. His touch stung her skin like a thousand needles. She pulled away from him but he grabbed her arms pulling her to him and kissing her roughly. She bit down on his lip and he threw her towards the calm water. Her skirts were making it hard to walk in the ankle deep water. He advanced on her pulling her deeper into the water until it was up to her chest. She didn't even think of bringing her wand to the lake with her. She was a muggle-born. No one around here believed in magic. Tom pulled her to him again, bringing his face down to hers. "I thought of using the killing curse but I thought a dramatic way for you to go was better," he said icily. "Good bye, Li," Tom said mocking her. Liana's eyes widened in realization and she thrashed about in his hold. He held her tight and pushed her head under water. She thrashed wildly under the water screaming but all that came out was a cloud of bubbles. The water was filling her lungs, she couldn't breath. Blackness clouded her eyesight and soon she didn't feel anything. She was motionless. Tom removed himself from the water with and odd satisfaction at his girlfriend's death. There was a scream from inside the house and he smiled. "Good bye, Mr. and Mrs. Porter," he said happily. "Lucius, get rid of the body." He ordered and a younger man came out of the shadows a smirk dancing on his face.

"Whatever you wish, My Lord," he said, his platinum blond hair shining in the sun. "If I may remark, it is a pity to lose such a beauty," he remarked, holding the wet body of Liana Porter in his arms, kissing her cold cheek.

"Yes, I thought so, too," Tom responded, looking into the girl's blank blue eyes. "Oh well," he said, dismissing it. "She always liked the lake." Tom laughed and soon was joined by Lucius Malfoy.

Liana watched her body being carried by Lucius Malfoy to a nearby portkey. She knew it wasn't her time to go. She would get Tom Riddle back for what he did to her, him and all his associates. She would have to get help, seeing that she was dead now, a free spirit that roamed the earth. She would go to Hogwarts, always her home, now hers for eternity.
