03/27/2004It has now been about two months since the fall of Voldemort - and Draco warily watches the continuation of death, desperately trying to stay alive; for despite his innocence, all Death Eaters, past and present, are being targeted. He believed that he had left ever-present death behind, yet it seems that certain destruction is not as far away as he would have hoped, something Draco realizes one steamy August afternoon as he returns to his apartment to find his door adjar . . . .

04/01/2004A few things are revealed, and Draco waits for the reason he has been summoned to a secret meeting with the Head of the DMLE, and several other prominent faces from the past - and the Order of the Phoenix.

Draco must decide his next course of action in wake of the attack, for now his defenses have been breached and he has nowhere to go . . .

05/13/2004Draco begins testing the green substance to find out the effects it will have on him, and once more the Trio - with Lupin and Sirius - demand answers. There are several explosions and some shouting, and the reasons for the attack, as well as some interesting information about the new Dark Lord, are discussed.

06/06/2004The mysterious phone call leads to a trip to Diagon Alley, where the mystery thickens. An attack and dueling ensue, but the secrets remain in place.

07/03/2004The captured Death Eaters are questioned, and many truths are revealed. But belief is a subjective concept. That which Draco clearly knows is made evident to others - but will they understand? More importantly, wil they believe? At this turning point, the fate of the wizarding world hangs in the balance.

07/03/2004Draco's return to the Burrow after being released from the DMLE. He finds himself the victim of a prank caller, claiming to be his father, who relentlessly stalks him. The danger increases as the threats are cast out into the open, and the situation escalates.

07/04/2004The new Lord's objectives are made clear, and his real goal is a disgusting shock to those listening on the other end of the phone line. Information about the Mark isdiscovered, and Draco finds himself forced to balance on a knife-edge for survival - both literally and figuratively.

07/04/2004The plant discovered in Vault 875 is more carefully examined and identified. Yet while Draco and Hermione talk, cultivating a friendship, the Dark Lord is working hard. On the morn following his demands for the unborn Potter child, he creates a plan to ensnare someone of great importance.

07/10/2004Draco, Ron and Hermione follow Harry's trail in an attempt to save him from almost-certain destruction. They trail him to the one place that is most obvious, and most unexpected. There, former suspicions are proven to the horror of all.
Chapter 16
07/16/2004Draco tracks Harry to the Riddle House, where he, Ron and Hermione find confirmation of their suspicions. Lucius Malfoy has indeed taken his place as head of the Death Eaters, and has cast out the spies in his midst. Draco, Harry, Ron and Hermione are left, confused by Lucius' enigmatic equivocation, to care for the injured and the dead. Not all escaped unscathed, and during the funeral for a dead Auror, Draco is assaulted by a threat he had thought dissolved - showing that nothing is ever what it seems.
Chapter 17
07/27/2004Draco's sword teaches Harry a lesson about second chances. Yet when the phone-stalker strikes once more, someone unbelievable becomes suspect of duplicty. Draco researches the "green goo", and some disturbing results are discovered, making his existance even more precarious . . . .

07/29/2004Two months of relative quiet have passed, yet the killings have not stopped. The number of innocents equals the number of Death Eaters murdered, yet Lucius Malfoy remains at large. Draco is frustrated, and refuses to comply any longer - yet when the time comes for the cell phone to appear for his enforced conversations with the Dark Lord, nothing happens. Which can only mean one thing - Lucius Malfoy has a new plan . . . .
