Author's Note:
Another one of my very strange plot bunnies.

Godric and Salazar fight more often now. Salazar believes it was one of the Muggle-born students who told the Muggle army where we were. Godric believes that Rowena's spell would prevent anyone betraying us, but Rowena says herself that there are problems with the spell, and it is possible that our location could be disclosed. I am worried that this will cause problems. Godric is colder towards Rowena now. He believes she should support him because we must allow Muggle-born students to attend Hogwarts. Rowena agrees with him, but she will not lie to support any idea, not even this.

And I? I watch them all arguing. I use to speak more. I still do. But when they are arguing, I do not join either side. I try to stop their fights. We must have Muggle-born children in our school, for everyone with magic must be taught to use it, but Salazar will not admit that. He does not wish for them to be eliminated, I hope, but he will not admit that Godric is right.

We did not argue as much as this before. When we were searching for a place to found to school, or working to change the castle's structure to fit our needs, or deciding classes and schedules, we did not argue, much. Only now, when the school is in danger, do we fight.

But the school is in more danger from our fighting than it is from Muggles. If we, who founded the school, cannot join together to keep it strong, it will not stand against our enemies, Muggle or wizard.

For there are still wizards who do not believe the school is completely beneficial. I do not care for what they say, as long as they do not close the school and I am allowed to continue teaching my students. But Rowena cares. I know she does. She spends much of her time reading, but she is worried that our students may be taken away if there is increasing dislike for the school in the wizarding world. I do not believe they will be.

There are also wizards who believe that our school attracts Muggle notice. Salazar has argued to the Wizard's Council that it would not attract their notice if no Muggle-borns were admitted. There is so much anti-Muggle feeling now that I fear they are beginning to believe him. We may someday be offered a choice of closing the school or admitting only pureblooded students. I hope to God that this will not happen.

Godric says it will not happen if we force Salazar to leave the school. I will not let him do this. All four of us need to stay and help the school to prosper if we want it to be a success.

And Rowena told me that she edited the protection spells. Hogwarts will only stand as long as there is a representative of each of us at the school. This makes me nervous, for I think that soon Salazar may be forced to leave. And then...

I do not know what will happen then.

But if Godric tries to eliminate all trace of him, and, being Godric, I think he will, then Hogwarts, the school we have worked so hard to raise, may fall.

This must not happen.

They are fighting again. I hear them, even in my private rooms near the Hufflepuff common room. I must go, and try to stop this.

I do not think I can.
