Chapter Three - Let Go
-Slytherin. Draco Malfoy stared at the silly redhead, sitting red-faced and peering through his books.
"Excuse me," snarled Draco, letting angry gleam through his eye," I don't think that it's allowable for you to lack proper manners, just because you have no money."
Ginny Weasley stared back at him, in shock and fright, like a fish. Her mouth hung wide open. Her hazel eyes shone wet with none released tears. She gulped and raised her chin defiantly.
"I happen to have more manners than you," she said, though still blushing. She pushed one curl behind her ear.
"I'm sure," Draco rolled his eyes arrogantly, not feeling the energy to argue with her, "now, could I please have my bag back?"
Ginny looked over the tipped contents of her and his bags. She shrugged, letting out a small sigh. "Take what is yours, and leave me in peace."
"Gladly," snapped back Draco. He sorted through their mixed up belongings, and scooped up the majority of the objects. He shook his head, and cursed the youngest Weasley.
Zipping his bag tightly, and making sure that it was incapable of opening itself without his assistance, his eyes incidentally went back to Ginny. She was sitting, shoulders hunched, and her eyes gazing in the direction of the lake. Her eyes looked so unhappy, so unfocused, and her face appeared innocent, yet hurt laid there. Not truly visible, only if Draco looked closely.
She seemed to notice someone's stare on her, as she turned in his direction. Their eyes were locked on each other.
Draco hastily looked away.
'What?" she asked, forcedly. She was tired of him.
Draco didn't reply. Instead, he pushed his back up his right shoulder, and began to walk back to the castle.
Shaking his head, he managed a smirk. Weasley really looked stupid then, he thought.

Ginny stayed outside longer. Her thoughts swayed there and there, and words formed in her mind, in the style of a new poem. It reminded her of the lake, its swiftness and its calmness.
She searched her bag for her notebook. Looking for it, she discovered it wasn't there. I could have sworn I put it in there, she thought. Oh well, she shrugged. Must be on my desk.
She ripped out a page from her Transfiguration notebook, and wrote what flowed out of her.
Let Go
Riding on the clouds,
I spot my getaway
It appears to my
In nothing but a dream
I pull on the air, trying to get closer
The cloud pushes away from it
It is a dream
Let Go, I say
The cloud let's me fall
There is nothing there for me
The bright day
Goes to dark night
I feel loneliness
And tragedy overcome me
A teardrop fell onto Ginny's work, and she realized that she was crying. She wiped her eyes, and tried to continue, despite the loneliness building up in her.
It gets colder and colder
And all I can see
Is a shadow of me?
She was fully crying now. Despair and sadness ran through her mind repetitively. Why couldn't it be me with Harry? She wondered miserably. Why could Harry love me? She searched through her bag for a tissue. Everything I do, everything I say, it is never enough!
She grabbed her bag, and howled into it.
Her bag soon became a wet water bag due to the quantity of tears she let out, and she felt even worse.
She hiccupped and tried to calm herself down.
It seemed impossible.
There is no way I can go to class like this.
Calm down, Ginny.
You're an idiot!
What?
Why are you crying over someone who will never care for you?
He might! He might one day!
When pigs fly, I'm sure.
Shut up!
But that only made it worse.
Quickly, she grabbed her bag, and ran to her common room. Yelling the password, she ran up to the girls' dormitory and cried herself to sleep
* * * * *
I'm standing on a bridge
I'm waiting in the dark
I thought that you'd be here, by now.
There's nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but there's no sound.
