Chapter 7: The Amazon Academy

Harry woke up the next morning, looking forward to Defense Against the Dark Arts. It was the only class of the day, so he would have the rest of the day to attend Amazon Academy. He noticed everyone else was already gone. He found this a little surprising considering it was still early.

As he made his way down to the common room, he found a note on the fireplace mantle:

Harry,

Come to my room, immediately.

Professor Daniels

Harry shrugged. He figured he'd better do it. He gathered his book bag and started off to Professor Daniels' room.

"You could have just left your book bag in your dormitory," Professor Daniels said as Harry entered the room. Harry dropped his bag by the door and walked forward to Professor Daniels' desk.

"What did you want to talk to me about, Professor?" Harry asked.

Professor Daniels placed his quill down and removed his glasses. "Harry, I want you to look around this room. Tell me what you notice."

Harry was thoroughly confused, but did as he was told. His bright green eyes scanned the room. Well, for one, he thought, there's no one here.

"Look beyond the physical, Harry," Professor Daniels said as if reading the young teen's mind.

Harry nodded.

The room seemed to be pointing something out to him, but he wasn't listening.

If he doesn't pass this simple test, he's not who we thought he was.

Then, a sharp pain came across Harry's back. He turned sharply to see a boot attached to a leg and then a whole body flying at him. He moved to the right and grabbed his attacker's ankle. He slammed their face down into the floor.

"That's enough!" Professor Daniels shouted. Harry's attacker was on their knees.

"What the hell!"

"Hi, Kiri."

Kiri rose to her feet and faced Harry, blood dripping from her nose. "What are you?" she shouted. "Are you some kind of God damn Seer or something."

"He is," Professor Daniels answered. "Harry has the potential to surpass even our strongest student."

Kiri burst into a fit of laughter. "He could never beat her!" she said.

"The headmistress certainly has faith in the boy."

"Well, good for her!"

"You will not talk"

"Will someone please explain to me WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" Harry shouted over the other two.

Professor Daniels nodded. "Kiri, lift the charm."

Kiri walked to one of the walls of the room and started chanting. Slowly the room began to dissolve. The stone walls of the Defense room began to melt and were replaced by solid oak walls. The hardwood floor became a stone floor and the desk became a tall shelf of books. When Harry turned to look at Professor Daniels, he noticed he had changed as well. He was wearing a bright blue cloak and matching blue clothes underneath.

Kiri's appearance changed also. She wore a long cloak that greatly resembled a flame. The hood of the cloak was a bright orange that outlined the rest of the cloak, which was yellow. The very tips of the cloak were a bright blue and very jagged. Her clothes and boots also resembled a flame. Her boots were blue and her leather pants were outlined orange with yellow covering the rest of her legs. Her turtleneck shirt was also yellow with the orange lining, except the neck that was completely orange.

"Welcome Harry," Professor Daniels said, "to Amazon Academy."

"Wow," Harry whispered as Professor Daniel's showed him the combat fields and the classrooms. They came to the smallest room Harry had seen yet and Professor Daniels opened the door.

"This is the classroom for our year ones. They come here when they are about four or five and begin training."

Harry was a little confused now. "Professor Dan-"

"Harry, please. Call me Jonathan."

"Ok." Harry thought it was odd to call a professor by their first name, but whatever. "Jonathan, how come I'm here now if they start training at four?"

"She knew you would ask that. The headmistress has had her eye on you for some time, ever since your parents died. She was, of course, a little shaken up by it. I mean, we would have thought Lily would have been able to kill that wizard."

"Wait!" Harry threw his hands up. "My mum came here?"

"Only for one term, but she was a wonderful astro kinetic."

A sudden blast of music down the corridor interrupted the tour Jonathan was giving Harry.

"Oh damn," he whispered. "Not again."

Harry reached the room long before Jonathan did. There were about twenty or thirty kids around Harry's age gathered around a long table. Harry tried to look over the sea of heads, but found it slightly difficult. When he finally made his way to the front, he thought his jaw would smack down to the floor.

Kiri and another girl with long amethyst hair were dancing up on the table to a song Harry recognized as "Get Low". Guys in the crowd were catcalling, whistling and throwing money up onto the table.

Harry noticed Kiri had changed her clothes. She wore the same black skirt she wore the first time Harry met her. She also wore a scoop neck, black blouse. Her ankle high boots were still on her feet, but they were the same black color Harry had come to recognize.

Once Harry got a good look at her, he couldn't take his eyes off the amethyst haired girl. She wore a tight long sleeve amethyst shirt that seemed to be made of leather. She had a skirt of the same color and material. She also wore the same boots as Kiri only they were amethyst as well.

Kiri and the girl got really close to each other and began doing body rolls up each other's legs.

"Girl on girl!" a guy yelled in the crowed. The girls continued to body roll as the slowly went down to their knees. The amethyst girl was right in front of Harry. She then rolled onto her stomach and raised a long finger. Then she began to beckon Harry to come up.

"Me?"

She nodded. As Harry got up onto the table, the girl got back to her feet. She removed the shirt she was wearing and wrapped it around Harry's neck holding the sleeves in either hand. She was wearing a deep purple bra under the shirt, which Harry was very thankful for.

She put her back on Harry's chest and began moving up and down his body. Harry felt his hands slowly reach for her hips. He stared moving his hands up and down her body. She had perfect curves he noticed as she turned to face him.

"That's enough!"

The music was suddenly cut and everyone turned to the doorway. Jonathan was standing there looking very upset. "Everyone to their dormitories. The headmistress will hear about this!"

The room slowly began to empty. The amethyst girl put her shirt back on. Harry jumped off the table. When he looked around the room, he noticed Kiri was gone.

"She's probably with a guy and managed to sneak out again."

Harry turned to see the girl get off the table. Jonathan stormed over to the two of them. The girl was standing in front of Harry, so he couldn't see her face as they argued. "Harry, I thought you were more mature then these insane adolescents. But my disappointment lays with you," he pointed to the girl. "I though you were above things like that."

"Kiri and I need money."

"That's no excuse! You and Kiri will both have to do five hours of combat, straight," the girl groaned, "and then ten study hours."

"Ten!"

"Get to the field. You're first battle is ready."

She turned and rolled her eyes. She gathered her cloak off the ground and fastened two pins onto it. On the pin was a phoenix, similar to Kiri's charm on her necklace.

"Harry, come with me. It's time to watch what this school can teach you."

Chapter 8: A Fighting Raven

Below Harry was a large field that looked like the top of a glacier. In fact, Harry had the strange feeling that it was a glacier.

"We place our students in challenging environments. Meaning giving their adversary the upper hand. A student will learn nothing if he or she isn't challenged."

Harry looked down to see the amethyst haired girl. She was now wearing amethyst pants, the same boots, and a turtleneck of the same color. They were a little tight on her body. The hood of her cloak concealed her face.

"Do all girls dress like that here?" Harry asked.

"Yes. It causes less distraction when in combat. The sleeves and pant legs don't get in the way you see."

Harry turned his attention back to the field. The girl's opponent was walking on to the field.

"They've done the first round already and she was triumphant. There are two rounds in an Amazon duel. Very rarely has it gone to three. The first round is pure combat, second round powers, and third would be a combination of the two.

"Now, watch," Jonathan said looking back to the field.

The girl's opponent looked at her as if she were scum. She had murdered him in round one, but he had the perfect plan for round two. It was something she couldn't evade.

The girl threw her amethyst cloak aside. Her hair was in front of her face, completely hiding her face. She looked like something out of a Japanese horror film.

"You're so damn cocky!" the young man shouted, throwing his light blue cloak aside. "But I'll put you in your place!" He bent low to the ground and then bolted into the sky.

He looked down at her from the sky. "Time to clip the raven's wings," he whispered, focusing his power to his right hand. A large ice ball appeared in his hand. "Catch!" he shouted and threw it down. As the ice ball got closer and closer to the amethyst haired girl, it got larger and larger. It was almost full glacier size about three feet away.

"Professor! Do something! She's going to die!" Harry shouted.

"No, Harry. Today shall have a second victory for her."

"Fight back!" the young man shouted.

At that, her hair flew back and her eyes flashed a bright amethyst. The small glacier stopped centimeters from her face. A thin blue line appeared around the glacier and flames began to engulf the entire ice missile. Soon, the flames found a new target.

The screams of the young man were so loud, Harry covered his ears to keep his eardrums from exploding.

"He's in such agony," Harry said.

"No, he just made a stupid mistake. You see this girl, at age thirteen, mastered ever known power that we teach here. She's been here since she was two. Her first words were the incantation Morphias Catara, which transforms a person into a cat. A boy tried to take her toy and she must have picked it up from some where. I think she still has the cat."

His attention suddenly turned to the doorway about five feet from where Harry was standing.

"Well done, well done," he said as the girl walked through the door. "Two more pins for the Academy Wall, eh?"

The girl nodded and opened her right hand. In it rested two silver pins with a snake engraved into the silver.

"Oh, I forgot, you two haven't been introduced. This is"

"Don't worry," Harry heard a voice say. "I know who he is." Harry realized the words that were being spoken were in his head.

"My name's Raven. And you're Harry Potter. Headmistress must really see something special in you for letting you come here from that inferior school," Raven said.

"Raven's family was tortured to death by wizards who still used wands when she was a baby. Recently one of the killers returned to get his revenge for loosing an arm that night because of Raven's mother. She was an Astro and tricked him with a doppelganger and cut off his arm with a knife," Jonathan told Harry, but Raven cut him off at the next sentence.

"He cut out my tongue with that same knife, still covered in his blood, so I could 'forever taste his pain'. After that I blew his ass to Kingdom Come with the same trick my mum pulled. That's kind of pathetic if you ask me. Then I learned how to speak telepathically as if I were speaking normally."

Raven placed the pins in her pockets. "That was by far the easiest battle I've had in years. I mean, I know all forms of elemental and telepathic power known to wizard kind. Obviously anyone who goes against me is going to loose."

"Raven, it's time for another battle. This one's part of your punishment. It's a year one."

Raven groaned and walked out of the room.

Harry turned to Jonathan. "You're going to let her fight an eleven year old?"

"Oh no, she's not fighting him. She's enhancing his skills. We never fight people who go to the same academy as us. We have other people come in. And it's not an eleven-year-old. It's a six year old."

Harry suddenly felt uneasy. Being in the presence of Raven's fight made Harry feel more out of his league then ever in his life. Even more then when he first joined Quidditch, more then in the Triwizard Tournament, more then when he first came to Hogwarts.

"Come on Harry. You're going to meet the headmistress now."
