Ronald Weasley and the Philosopher's Stone

Ron gets his letter from Hogwarts, but also gets denied something that he's always wanted by his mother and Percy.

Ron's anxiety builds and it gets closer and closer to the school year. He also learns that the most famous wizard of the age is going to be attending Hogwarts as a first year as well. Can they really be friends, like Ron hopes?

Ron learns something exciting from the Sorting Hat...in fact, it just so happens to be the very last thing he expects. He also meets the most annoying girl in the world. But how can he ask this Hermione Granger girl to stop bugging him without making Harry think he's a jerk?

Ron discovers what it's like to take classes and realizes that learning magic is much harder than he thought it would be. He also decides that next to Malfoy, the person he hates most in the world is Hermione Granger. Harry makes it onto the Quidditch team, Ron stands up to Malfoy, and they all get to meet a certain three-headed dog.

Ron and Harry discuss the package that Hagrid removed from Gringotts, and Harry gets a package of his own. Ron struggles in his classes, but manages to find two unusual people who are willing to help with his homework.

Ron has to work twice in one week in class with Hermione and hits a breaking point. Then, on Halloween night, all of that changes.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione start laying the groundwork in becoming a trio of best friends. Harry tells Hermione about the package from Gringotts, Ron breaks up a fight, and Percy admits something that's very difficult for him to fess up to.

Ron and Hermione try to watch a Quidditch practice, but their plans go awry, Harry has his first Quidditch match and nearly dies, and the trio finally learn something else about the mysterious package, though it leaves them with even more questions to answer.

Ron writes a lot of letters home in order to stave off the combined boredom of school and searching for Nicolas Flamel in the library. He and Harry come up with a plan to keep and eye on the third-floor corridor over Christmas break. Finally, Hermione gets a much needed present.

Ron and Harry amuse themselves over the holidays. Presents are opened, secrets are shared, and Ron sees more in the Mirror of Erised than he lets Harry know.

What exactly did the Mirror of Erised show Ron? How did Nicolas Flamel come up with the Philosopher's Stone? Why is Hagrid suddenly more interested in dragons than usual? And will Draco Malfoy learn that insulting Ron and Neville together is a bad idea? Many questions are asked and only some are answered.
