Thanks to my beta......smooches to everyone who gives me a smooch!

First I saw his face, it was over a bag of corn chips in the third mini-aisle. He was looking at the canned meats as if they were a puzzle he was having a really hard time with. His hair was dark and messy; it looked like he used some of those crazy edge scissors to cut it with. He had this odd scar on his forehead, couldn't tell what it was shaped as. His clothes that he was wearing were very odd too. He had this long, black raincoat thing over some blue jeans. It was buttoned up so I couldn't see the shirt. He wasn't wearing shoes either, just bare feet. They looked big and he really needed to cut his toenails.

Yes, he was funny looking, a strange person. He looked so familiar, comforting almost. It would have made me laugh if he wasn't so crazy looking. I did start to laugh, I had a little chuckle to myself and elbowed Joel, he's other night shift guy. So anyways, I was just getting Joel to look when the guy snapped his head up from the Spam, and looked me straight in the eye. It...it was like nothing I've ever seen before, the look he sent me sent shivers up and down my spine. It was good shivers, the kind that make you want to giggle. He had these bright green eyes, brighter than the fireworks last July. They were hidden behind circle frame glasses. When he set them on you, it was as if he could see right through you, as if he could read your mind. He, once again, reminded me of someone from my past. It made me stop laughing right away.

So then, he picked up a can of something and he came up to the counter. He was limping too; I guess you should know that. So he gets to the counter, right, and I have to ring up. He slaps the can down and pulls out a dirty old five, with what looked like blood stains on it to pay me with. When I gave him his change, he looked at me again, right in the eye. Confused me so much I dropped all the pennies. He held my gaze for a minute and then limped out. That was it, he never said a word.

After he left, I didn't feel much like working, I was very confused. And, I mean there's always Joel, or there was always Joel, to look after the pumps and all. If I wanted to take a break, I could. I went in the back to stock the freezers. So that's where I was when he came back. I heard Joel call for me and walked out to the front, stopping in shock when I saw him.

"Draco?" he asked, his voice cracking and squeaking. It was odd that he knew my name seeing as we had no nametags. What was odder was that voice sounded so familiar and something clicked in my brain. I knew that he was important to me, maybe not now but a long time ago. I took a glance in the dirty, cracked mirror and saw my gray eyes full of sadness, my white blonde hair-hanging limp on my face. It was hard living this way, working at a gas station for five bucks a day.

I raised my eyebrow in confusion as I asked, "Yes?" My voice was strangely squeaky as well.

He took a deep breath, almost sounding as relief. "It's me." I shook my head, signaling to him that I didn't know who 'me' was. "Harry, Harry Potter."

My eyes widened and I threw my arms around him, scooping him into a hug. Harry...Harry. "Where have you been Harry? What happened to you...where did you go? Hermione, Ron...they're all so worried."

He pulled away, tears filling his eyes. "After Sirius's dea...death...I never wanted to live that way again. I never wanted to touch...ma...magic again. So I snapped my wand and moved away. What about you? When was the last time you saw them?"

I reached up to his face and wiped away his tears. "I saw them last three years ago. Hermione was giving birth to a baby girl. Then I left the wizarding world. I couldn't bear watching Hermione and Ron so happy when you left us...me. I understand your reasons, but I wish you had told me, took me with you. I loved you Harry, I still do." He pulled me into a hug, sobbing into my shoulder. I decided it would be best to take Harry to my place so we could really talk. "Joel, I have some buisness to take care of. I might not be in tomorrow; I'll give you a call." He nodded and I guided Harry out of the gas station and sat him down in the passenger's seat of my Dodge truck.

I turned the ignition on and Harry clutched my shoulder, crying as I drove to my flat twenty-five blocks away. I helped him out of the car and sat him down on the couch. He was still crying, and I wrapped my arms around him, whispering words of comfort into his ear. He eventually calmed down enough to tell me he still loved me.

"I never wanted to leave you. I love you and I made a mistake. I needed time to think, I was upset and confused. But one thing never changed and that was my love for you. For the past seven years, all I thought about was you. And when I wondered into that gas station tonight, I thought that I was imagining things so I left without a word. But when I walked out the store, I realized that if it was you, this was my one shot. I had one shot and I had to take it. So I did and I found you and I've never been happier in my life." He said this honestly, lovingly and pleadingly. As if he thought I wouldn't accept him back into my life.

"I love you Harry. I always have, I always will."

He looked up at me, eyes full of hope. "You do?"

I smiled at him. "Love lasts forever Harry, don't you forget it."
