"So what's your decision, then!" Ron screamed at her

This resulted in Hermione just getting more upset. Tears streamed down her face, and she ran off towards the Gryffindor common room.

"Now look what you did!" Harry and Draco yelled at the same time

Then all three boys ran up to the Gryffindor common room to find Hermione.

Harry was the first to reach her. She was in her room, head stuffed into the pillow, with Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown trying to comfort her.

"Boys," said Parvarti, "are not worth bothering about"

"Yeah," put in Lavender, "stupid pigheaded things really don't know how to treat a girl"

Harry coughed, and Parvarti and Lavender turned around.

"Can I have a private word with Hermione?" he asked

The girls turned around and whispered something to Hermione. Then they turned back to Harry and said,

"Sure."

They walked out the room and shut the door behind them. Harry walked over to where Hermione lay spread out on the bed. He sat down next to her and gave her cheek a kiss. Hermione turned over and said,

"Harry?"

"Yes?" he replied

"I love you," she said, sounding lazy

"Do you?" he asked, "Am I your choice?"

"Yes," she replied, but inside her brain was screaming a thousand things.

Do you really like him? Are you sure? What if you want Ron instead? Or DRACO! What a thought you and Draco! But he would treat you better than Ron, wouldn't he? Or would he? He is a Slytherin, after all. No, you love Harry. HARRY! Remember that kiss, at the lake? Well, isn't that proof enough? Well then! What are you worrying about?

And with that, she reached up and gave Harry a passionate kiss.

While they were kissing, however, Ron had walked into the room. Upon seeing this scene, he was speechless. He just stood there for a moment, then came to his senses and started yelling again.

"Harry! I told you to keep your hands off her! She obviously doesn't want you, so you try putting the moves on her anyway! I saw the way she was squirming, she didn't want you to do that, did you baby?"

Instead of answering, Hermione got up and slapped him. He staggered for a moment, clutching his face where she had struck him, then yelled,

"You Bitch! I'll get you for this!"

He dived towards her, but Harry stepped in his way, and held Ron back.

"This isn't going to make her like you any more," Harry whispered into Ron's ear.

And, to Harry's amazement, Ron stood up and said,

"You're right, mate."

Shortly after, Ron walked out the door, and after Harry and Hermione had checked he had left, Harry said,

"I wonder what made him stop?"

"Easy. You threatened him that I would hate him. He thinks he loves me, but If he did, He'd treat me better," Hermione said, knowledgeably

"Oh, I get it. He thought you would really hate him, so he backed off."

"Yeah."

"So, do you wanna keep kissing?" Harry asked cheekily

"Sure," replied Hermione, leaning towards him

And they did just that.
