The now 21-year-old Auror Harry Potter returns home after four years away to renew friendships and hopefully rekindle his romance with Ginny Weasley.

Harry goes to see Ginny at her workplace and they are reunited, resuming their romance as soon as they reach her flat.

While Harry and Ginny recall their original romance, they are interrupted by unexpected visitors in the form of Ron and Hermione.

Three days after the restaurant incident, Harry and Ginny have private talks with their friends and apologise for their actions.

Harry recalls two incidents with Malfoy and company after a recent encounter, both set in his sixth year.

Harry and Ginny share a romantic interlude in the common room; meanwhile, buoyed by Harry's discreet assistance via Felix Felicis, Ron finally manages to propose to Hermione.

Harry and Ginny discuss the possibility of her accompanying him on his quest to destroy the Horcruxes and Voldemort; meanwhile, he recalls incidents from his second to fourth years in school.

While preparing for their quest, Ginny recalls an... adult-type dream she once had about Harry.

The four young people depart on their quest, their first stop being the cemetery where Regulus Black--and hence the fourth Horcrux--is buried... and upon locating it, Harry destroys it. They then go to the local library to search for clues to the other, remaining Horcruxes.

After Ginny's uncharacteristic behaviour, Molly and Hermione suspect that she is pregnant--and upon learning the truth, the women decide to keep it a secret, at least for the time being.

Harry comes down to breakfast, and upon getting the rough side of Ginny's tongue, demands an explanation for her behaviour--and once he gets it, reacts predictably.

Harry and Ginny go to the jewelers' to get rings; Hermione discovers a possible clue to the next Horcrux; Voldemort learns of the destruction of the fourth Horcrux.

Harry grieves for the fact that his parents and Sirius won't be present to see him get married to Ginny; the young couples decide to have a double wedding.

Even in the midst of the young couples' dual wedding nights, Dark forces are gathering and preparing for a fight...and only Harry's scar manages to alert him and his friends in time to prepare for it.

Harry informs McGonagall that he and his friends are coming to Hogwarts to search for another horcrux which they believe is in the school library; meanwhile, they make plans to have a Q&A session with the current crop of Hogwarts students.

The Final Battle. Voldemort and several Death Eaters are killed and Ginny and several others on the Good side are injured.

Ginny and the other injured recuperate in the Hospital Wing; Harry and company have a Q&A session with the current crop of Hogwarts students; they also make plans to do postgrad work.

Harry and company hold another Q&A session with the Hogwarts students, then Harry and Ginny hold discussions regarding the boy they believe is Sirius's son before making an appointment to discuss the matter with McGonagall.

Harry and Ginny make several significant discoveries while perusing the personal file on young James Black--and in the process share two tenderly passionate nights of love, one of them in the Prefects' bathroom.

Harry takes dancing lessons in order to keep his promise to Ginny to waltz with her; in the process they travel to London to hunt up Sirius's one-time wife, Rose, also the mother of his child and offer her financial help...if only for the boy's (and Sirius's) sake.

Harry and Ginny go out on the town for a fancy dinner and the aforementioned dance; in the process, however, they have an unexpected encounter with the forces of Darkness and take steps to beat them.

After a private discussion, our couple shares a passionate night together; Ron and Hermione meet with McGonagall; Harry and Ginny each conduct their own personal genealogical searches.

Harry makes inquiries regarding the availability of his family's ancestral home; he and Ginny go to the Burrow for the UK version of Thanksgiving, held in September; they also experience a sleepless night while there because their bedroom is situated next to Bill and Fleur's--mainly because of what the latter couple are doing.

Harry and Ginny host Christmas celebrations at Grimmauld Place for Rose and James; the boy and Harry have a talk about Sirius; after awakening hours later, Harry finds Ginny in labour and despite his inexperience in the subject, is forced to deliver his children himself.

Considerable publicity is generated after the twins' birth because of an interview given by new grandparents Arthur and Molly Weasley; Harry meets with Kingsley Shacklebolt to discuss Rose, who turns out to be his niece; Harry has a dream later on with all his deceased loved ones appearing in it, as well as some who are alive, including Ron and Hermione and Rose and young James, which ends up affecting him more deeply than he could have anticipated.

Harry and young James spend a day together, having a talk about Sirius and their own relationship, in the process buying the boy his own owl, which they name Brownie.

Arthur Weasley becomes editor of the DAILY PROPHET and sacks Rita Skeeter for sensationalizing about Harry after the birth of his and Ginny's twins; shortly thereafter he takes her and their children to visit his parents' graves and while there, they have a supernatural experience even while being observed by the ghosts of James and Lily.
